Tuesday Roll Call

Happy Tuesday!  I hope everyone is safe and sane.  I'm working from home today.  Got a message from the boss that our team was allowed to work from home due to the snow.  It's nice that they do that. 

Otherwise nothing really going on today.  I will be putting ribs in the crock pot later.

Same here with me about nothing going on, but I'm taking care of my aunt's two dogs again this week that started today to Thursday or Friday. Crock pot ribs sounds good. Not sure what I'll be having later for dinner.

Just home from work, decided to eat out in the car at lunchtime, it was over 40'. 

Heading into the back bedroom to exercise, then have dinner. Not sure what I will be doing this evening. 

My cousin has her date, 03/07/2014. She is excited to say the least. 

I messages Olivia, Dawns daughter yesterday, they have not been able to see or talk to her yet. She will let me know when she can.

So nice to see the temperatures get in the 40s today. There are areas around my work where I actually saw grass! The video of the snow melting off of the buildings that I saw on the news tonight, insane. It makes me glad that I do not work downtown.

Work continues to kick my butt, along with, what I think is the beginning of a cold. I never used to get colds and since surgery, this could be my second. Bleh...

Hello everyone

I continue to work mega hours at work.  I think my tally lat week was 76 hours.  Just yesterday and today I already have 29 hours....oh well.  BUT....this Saturday no work will be done!!!!  I am going out with Chris.  We are going to the Sear Tower (yea I still call it that) with the boys...and I haven't been there since they have those glass boxes that jet out into the air.  That will be cool.  They we are going to the Field Museum (I think) to see the Chicago Worlds Fair exhibit.  So I am taking the day whether my boss likes it or not. 

Now work...lets see.  My boss laid into to me today for not having my debits and credit offset.  I tried to explain to her that they can't be offset.  The system doesn't allow it.  It took me showing her many examples and explaining it to her over and over and then she understood that I did nothing wrong.  But do you think she apologized....of course not.  And on top of that a very sweet coworker was in tears today because my boss accused her of lying about her overtime!!!  What the heck!!!  I don't know what's gotten into her...I used to really like her.  NOW...for the big news.  We are converting back to the old system!!!!  Can you believe it.  After all that time and money.  I'm not going to complain.  I'm very happy to go back.  And the conversion should happen by the end of the first quarter.  It will mean more mess and work and overtime but in the end I will be back in my dear, sweet old system....Can we say AMEN!!!

I am now trying to give myself a break (like saturday and taking the day off last Wednesday) and I'm treating myself to things since I am making extra money.  I am thinking the next thing I will do....maybe a pedicure or facial.  Hmmmm....how relaxing.....Ahhhh.  Maybe I will invite someone from work to come with me. 

Someone from work was selling Girl Scout cookies.  I bought my usual ONE box of Thin Mints.  But I also bought Amanda and and Charles each a box.  I decided that I am going to treat them with a surprise package.  Like I said I am working a ton of overtime and with that comes a lot of extra money.  So I am going to send Amanda a package.  I don't usually send Amanda a package so soon since I just sent her one for Christmas.  It's just so expensive.  But since I am making a some extra money I am going to send her a surprise package.  Ya...I mean what does a little extra money mean if you can't treat the ones you love.

No Lisa we got 6 inches of new snow yesterday, I went and fed the seniors, and my 8 minute drive took me 45 minutes. I made it home safe but had a migraine from the stress, I finally got rid of it here just about an hour ago. It was hard driving the bus today when it felt like the world was a blur! But better now. I missed something on here, is Dawn okay? I try to come on and read here everyday, but some days I don't have time to even get on the computer. Well I gotta run, time to get things ready for both jobs tomorrow!
