The Last Time I Was There.

The last time I was at Lowden State Park in Ogle County, Illinois I took this picture on September 25, 2010 (3.5 months post-op of VSG). I like this Black Hawk Statue/The Eternal Indian. The statue is perched over the Rock River on a 77 foot bluff overlooking the city. The nearest city to the statue is Oregon, Illinois. There is something about the statue that I just like from the first time I saw it, I have seen it and visited the statue a few time in my life. I think the first time I saw the statue in person was around 2008 or 2009 and I liked it since. I like my camera and I like taking pictures, I guess it's just a hobby I have.

Has anyone been to Lowden State Park?

I wanted to share this picture with someone that's been there before let alone planning on going there for the first time. 

We have not been to Lowden State Park yet, but we are in Oregon, IL all the time.  The church camp we attend is in Oregon.  It is really pretty there and I hope to see the statue this summer.

I know you'll like it when you do go to Lowden State Park. I hope you do go this Summer to see the statue.

If you do go to Lowden State Park, there is a nice store that I went to the last time I visited the Black Hawk Statue that's down the river called "Eagles Nest Gifts". It has a lot of nature stuff and other stuff too. I wanted to let you know about this store if you're into nature stuff. I can give the address to the store. They even have a Facebook page.
