Monday Roll Call
Top 'O the morning to one and all. I have today off and boy I need it to rest up from all the walking over the weekend. Phantom was fantastic and the stage tour yesterday was amazing. Phantom had wonderful sets and many of them did amazing things like stairs coming out of the wall as the actors decend to the cellar, pyrotechnics like crazy, music that was wonderful, you could understand all of the lyrics, costumes that were spectacular. What a beautiful love story. I knew what the whole story was but when it unfolds before your eyes . . . I was crying at the end. The tour was wonderful. At the tour you get the history of the opera house and are taken to 10 places where volunteers tell you about the different facets of the building and parts of putting together an opera from costumes, props (where and how they are stored), wigs, weaponry (use of fake blood), behind stage up in the riggings, dressing rooms, orchestra pit and lastly standing on the stage looking out to the house. They are loading in the stage right now for the next production. They start one full year in advance making plans for an opera from the director choosing the props to the costumes and the creation of the wigs for each actor. The wigs are all handmade, take close to 40 hours a piece to create and are made of human hair. Each is custom made for the person with measurements from the person's head and the mannequin head remains there for future operas that the actor might be in.
I will wander out later and walk down to the library to see the guy that helps the adult patrons. He is going to help me set up the Adobe feature on my tablet. I have decided not to go out later as it was mentioned on the news that there will be white out conditions at times. Safer to stay in.
Looks like the snow will hit a little harder further up north this time. Stay safe and off the roads if you can. What ya all doing today?

Hi Chris and Friends,
No snow yet for us! It looks like it will be here soon though.
Please pray for my friend Holly. She is having her finger amputated this morning from an infection the hospital could not heal. She was there at Christmas for 2 weeks. She is so young, 30 and is a nurse with 2 small babies. She is devastated. Thanks.
I am working and thats my day. I am not a fan of Mondays, but I know it wil fly by.
Today is day 8 of Atkins Phase One and my cravings are gone. Now trying to deal with the fatigue from so few carbs. I am weighing in tomorrow, but I can feel how my clothes are getting bigger. AMEN!
I'll be back later...........
Hugs my dear ones and please be safe.
Sharon
Good Morning,
I like Chris, am off today. Most of the schools are closed, since it is a Federal holiday. We have about 1 to 2 inches of new snow, now it has quit. I know the next wave will be upon us shortly. When will this s**t end!
I just paid our membership for our local playhouse. We also have a membership in the Starved Rock Country Concert series. I would love to see Phantom, but, will wait until the local playhouse does it.
I have a bunch of stuff to do today. Nothing important, just stuff that since I have the day off, I want to get to. One thing is to finish the taxes. I will put a roast on for dinner, and I want to make a cassarole for tomorrow night.
Sharon and Crystal, have a safe drive to and from work. Nancy too.
Karen, Are you getting ice?
Connie, you and Kay can stay home and knit.
Lisa and Joan, are both of you working today?
Kim, what are you doing?
Jason, will you stay home today, or are you off on an adventure?
Have a great day!
Hugs,
Cool that you have a day off today. The snow started around 8:30 a.m./8:45 a.m. this morning, I think we have about the same amount of snow as you do. I'm wondering the same thing.
Cool, What is Playhouse? Sounds like you're a fan of memberships.
Good luck in getting the bunch of stuff done. That's good. Cool about the taxes. I thought I smelled something good cooking.
I went out this morning to meet up with my aunt this morning for about an hour or so and after that she dropped me off at a Village Discount Outlet, today is half price day, I bought a pair scrubs (one shirt and one pants). The color of them are blue (navy [pants]) and a darker blue for the shirt. Don't get me wrong, but I've been wanting a pair or so for a while now. They went for $0.98 for the shirt and $0.90 for the pants, since today is half price day, I got the scrubs for $0.49 for the shirt and $0.45 for the pants for a total of $0.94 for the scrubs, with tax it came to $1.03. Which I'm going to use the scrubs as pajamas/sleepwear and for bumming around my apartment.
I needed to get out today for a while. After I have lunch I'll go out again to Target to pick up a few things. I'll play the rest of the day by ear.
Have a great day and stay safe and warm.

Friday was such a busy day for me with working and running a lot of errands after work. On Saturday I drove downstate to my parent's house to attend a birthday party yesterday for my niece.
My plans were to come back home today, but with the weather coming today I left last night. Got home and just so, so tired. No work for me today, looks like my job will be shoveling snow later! I am okay with that, it is exercise that I need. I am looking forward to warmer temps this week and hopefully some melting!
So glad to see a lot of you have the day off today too! Enjoy!
