Tuesday Roll Call
Top 'O The Morning to everyone. Not much happening in my world. Need to stop at the library on the way home to renew my card. It is literally only about 50 steps the opposite direction as I am walking home, down a small incline and into the building and back to the stop light to cross Irving Park Rd.
I finally figured out how to return a book last night and it was one of those ddddaaaaahhhhh moments - that was easy.
The recipe I posted on Sunday turned out to be fantastic and so easy and full of great protein and fiber. I generally always have frozen ground beef, fresh celery, carrots, onion and barley in the house and it makes a lot. I would say it just needs to be spiced up a little bit. I made it exactly as it called for and it lacked a little in the salt and pepper area.
What is happening in your corner of IL today?

Hi Everyone,
I am not great. I am dragging my heavy black walking cast everywhere I go. I cannot tell you how many times I have gotten snow or ice in my cast and had freezing toes.
I am also feeling like a hot mess due to eating hi-Protein/low carbs. I know I have asked this before, but how many total carbs did we used to eat right after the surgery? I am extremely fatigued but know in a week I'll feel great again. I guess since carbs are my drug of choice, I am kind of in detox. I am reading a good book called, The 21 day Sugar Detox. I have gained weight and am feeling pressure to lose it.
I am also feeling the winter blahs. The sun has been shining thank goodness, but I would love the snow to be gone and see some fresh green.......
I'm sorry about Sunday. I was looking to meeting Carla and Jason and seeing Lisa and Dawn.
Well, I am going to close until next time.
Hugs,
Sharon

A great way to keep the foot dry in the boot is to put your foot in a plastic bag before you put it in the boot. That way all the moisture will be repeled and you can wear a warm sock under the bag. No cold toes! It may not be pretty but I would rather wear a sock than have cold toes. You can always remove the bag when you get to work.
