Saturday Roll Call

Good Morning, 

Not sure up in Chi land, but it is snowing down here. Another 1-2 inches of the white fluffy stuff. Hubbie is ready to go south, to Key West, but, like I told him, we would just have to come home to this.

I feel a bit ambitionus this morning. I cleaned the bedroom, and colored my hair. I need to clean up the kitchen, and maybe pt a third coat on my wall. I may have to think on that. 

We are meeting our youngest for dinner at a pizza, italian place tonight. 

Crystal, do something for yourself today. All work and no play ect, ect, ect.

Carla, have fun spoiling that baby today. 

Lisa and Joan, are either of you working today?

Connie, so what are you knitting now?

Nancy, are you still snuggleing with the furbabies?

Kim, are you enjoying your time at home?

Dawn, what are your plans for today?

Sharon and Carla, can't wait  until I see you tomorrow.

Off to Chickie Filet, Han**** Fabrics (for some hood cording) and then onto Willow to serve food to the stage teams before the service.

Hamburger soup is on the menu for tomorrow. Found a recipe on All Recipes that looks hardy and filling. I have some carrots and celery that needs to be used.

Soups are always good for supper, especially in this weather. I have made a hamburger soup before. They are good.

Hi Evertyone,

I slid yesterday bringing groceries into the house. I have a bad sprained ankle and some soft tissue damage. I am wearing a boot and I am in some pain. I have been told to stay off the foot until Monday. I have to go for an MRI. The xray looks fine, but they wanted to do an MRI since this is the 3rd time in a year I have injured this ankle. I'm sorry I am not going to make Och-n-Lous. Darnit.

We are having a white-out right now. G just called me and he said the roads are bad.

I'm hoping everyone is safe and warm.

Due to the weather, I am not going to make it either. Our roads are a mess, and Hubert doesn't want me to travel on them. 

Just sitting here with my right leg elevated, I have been alternating heat and ice. I think I am heading towards another hip replacement.  The knee is bad too. I am still working, but the pain is so bad.  Tylenol doesn't help at all. Well I didn't come on here to complain.  Time to check my stew that's smelling wonderful.  Have a great day.

Good afternoon Lisa and the rest of Illinois!

Thursday and yesterday I was in the big city (Chicago) at my brother's new condo.  David went with me and we had a nice visit.

Today, Todd and I are empty-nesters.  David is with friends and Liv has work all day and a basketball game to cheer at tonight.  He is downstairs watching some stupid action movie and I am here.  It is 3:30 and still snowing.

So......it sounds like the get together is cancelled?  Maybe we need to shoot for better weather, but that means we will also miss Carla.  Had I known, I may have tried to reach her as I was also on the north side.  Our neighborhood is Edgewater.

That's about it for me.

No work for me today. My son had bowling this morning, then basketball at 11. This afternoon I ran over to Woodfield to get a good walk in and now taking a break.

The roast recipe that Dawn posted the other day, is in my crock pot. It smells so good! Can't wait to have some! Another hour or so to wait.

Let me know how you and your family liked it.  I used to try to post a recipe every day, but it kind of fizzled out.  Maybe I should work on that......

It was soooo good! Will always make it this way! I passed the recipe on to family members, anxious to hear how they like it too.
