We have all become friends here, and you are more then welcome to join us. We will talk about almost anything, and you couldn't meet a better bunch of people. You are also welocomed to join us on the 9th for a meet and greet. Please plan on it. we are glad you decided to come out of lurkdom (not sure if it is a word or not, but it fits) . Chris works for the Itasca Police Department. She was the one *****ally got this forum going, at least 9 years ago.

Guilty as charged by Lisa T. Born, raised and stayed in Itasca and yes I work for IPD now going on 35 years. I have more time in than anyone at the PD and longer than the chief.

My grandfather was born in Itasca, would have been over 100 years ago now. I actually know an Itasca officer, small world. His son plays football with mine.

I actually grew up in central Illinois, near Decatur.

I have been told by a past mayor of the village that I run the PD. We rely on team work now and we all help out to make the other person's job easier.

What is the officer's initials that you know? I can think of one officer that has 3 boys that might be it.

Sounds like a great department. His initials are JM, divorced, one son, one daughter.

Good afternoon Sharon and the rest of IllinoiS!

I had not realized that I have been MIA until I checked in.  I have not been unusally busy, but I guess I just forgot.  Strange.

To answer your question, Sharon, I am enjoying not working, but will have to get over that since it will soon be time to seriously start looking.

I am thinking of making a big pot of chili today.  It will be good for leftovers for the kids.  David arrived back at home last night and seems to be upset about something that he will not talk about yet.  I am hoping that he will open up soon.  I hate when my kids are unhappy.

Todd and I are heading to Madison tomorrow and staying at the Govenor's Club overnight.  Madison is having "Hotel Week" and the Governor's Club is our favorite indulgence.  The price was right so we booked!  I also have some Groupons for places to eat, so it will be an affordable weekend.  Farmer's Market in the morning, lunch, then Governor's Club.  Sunday, we are planning on stopping at a couple of our other favorites up there then will head to his softball team's Super Bowl Steak Fry.  I hope the snow is not bothersome.

I will be happy to meet up with you all if the weather cooperates!  I will have to research and see what is arounf there.
