Monday Roll Call

I am off to see the Wizard here in a short while via my chauffer driven chariot (AKA as Dave). Got a lot done yesterday and my weekly fix for Downton Abbey X two. We heard last night that our dinner visitors will be watching the weather closely and if there are any snow issues between Mason City and Bettendorf, IA they might not come - hopefully that will not happen. Whatever the case may be their safety comes first. We will be reimbursed for what we spend.

I am guessing that the rural areas are going to be hard hit with the blowing snow . . .  be careful.

Later gators.

Burr...........,

I don't think it got as cold as it was suppose to, but it is cold never the less. Be careful if you are venturing out today.

I am going to work. I am only a few blocks from work when I am in Streator. My co-worker called last night and has already called off.

Karla, if you are getting together with Sharon, please include me.

Connie, I am happy that you had a good time over the weekend. I am also glad that you didn't have any problems getting home

Have a great day.

Hugs,

Lisa

Yes, it still is chilly. I watched the temp on my phone all day long and thought there was a prob with it that it was not changing too much.

Good morning friends,

We had a great weekend knitting and hanging out with friends in New Glarus. We never left the hotel because of the cold but  that didn't matter. One of the women went to Monroe to buy Limburger cheese and offered it to anyone for a taste. I liked it so we stopped on the way home in Monroe and bought some! After we got home we both took a long nap. Now today we are in for the day since everything is closed. Another nap sounds like fun!

it will be a quiet day, no doubt.

Stay safe,

Connie

My dad loved Limburger cheese. We used to tell our dad that it smelled like stinky socks. Too strong for me.

Hi Friends,

It is either not as cold as they claimed, or I am afraid, we may be getting used to the frigid temps. I think it may be the later since my car said it was 9 degrees as I made way to work this morning.

I would love to get together when Karla comes in. Hopefully we wont be experiencing another arctic blast that day.

I cant believe the Russians wont travel when there is snow. Arent they used to the tundra?

I am working on end of year stuff so I am busy. Everyone please stay warm and safe.

Hugs,

Sharon

Sharon, It is not a matter of them not traveling it is their safety and how long it would take them from Mason City, IA to Itasca. It would be all secondary roads until they can get to an interstate. If the roads are horrible it will take them close to 8-9 (minimum) hours to drive when it usually is a 6 hour drive.

It must be warmer down there closer to I-80. It is showing -3 to -5 at times up here.

Hello Everyone

I don't have to go into work tomorrow....my boss said we can work from home.  I am all broken up about it too.  Hahaha!!!

I am glad too because I didn't get home till late last night and had to get up early so I didn't much sleep.  So it will be nice to sleep in a little and not worry about getting ready for work.  In fact I am staying inside all day and staying my jammies and working.  Right now though I am so tired I am trying hard to stay up till 9...I don't want to go to bed too early.

Today was uneventful at work.  Thank god.  I was too busy and tired to deal with all the drama.

This bitter cold and snow is just wearing thin.  I am not even wishing for Spring at this point.  I am wishing for an average Winter right now.

Which reminds me I am cold all the time....right now I am cold.  I can't seem to warm up.  I need to some one to invent some heated underware and bras.

Well I need to go and be lazy....have a nice evening
