Friday Roll Call

Hello everyone

Yes still busy as ever...UGH!!!  I'm tired and I haven't been able to run any of my errands if isn't something that isn't on my way home.  I really need to get some some stuff done. 

I did order this fruit infusion water pitcher.  I have been wanting one to try it out.  Basically you can flavor your water with fruits instead of Crystal Lite.....so much healthier.  I am hoping it is as good as it says it is.  I would love to stop drinking Crystal Lite and just go all natural.  

That girl at work that has been giving me trouble has been just awful this week.  She is the one person that has been working closely with me to get this work done and it has been terrible.  But the more under-handed and snippy she gets the more friendly and nice I get (which is killing me).  She is argumentative and tries to nit pick about every little thing.   She has been a nightmare to work with.  But at the end of the day I always thank her for her help and say goodbye when she leaves.  I keep thinking of what Amanda told me and it is soooo true.....those that anger you, control you.  I refuse to let her control me!!!!

Plus...Chris made my day one day.  They had a low patient count so they let him go home early Wednesday.  I am sitting at home at 7pm and all of the sudden there he is.  It was a nice surprise and made me forget some of my stresses of the day.  Not to mention he gives really good massages.  Did I tell you he studied massage therapy.  So that's very useful...hahaha!!!!

Well today I am will work and work some more.  I will try to get over to get some shopping done in the Fox Valley area...doubtful.  What are you up to???

This will be a typical Friday for me. I have some errands to do this morning, then late this afternoon, we have to go to LaSalle to do more errands and meet friends for dinner.

Crystal, your problem child at work, why not being super sweet of course, just ask her what her problem is with you that makes her hate you so much. That way you are putting her on the defense.

Is anyone else watching the show about the Dr, in Texas that will operate on the 600 lb people?The one on this week reminds me of my friend Cheryl. She is having RNY on April 16th. I really think she will not comply with what her doctor tells her. Her mind set is she doesn't have to worry about what she is eating or exercising, or any thing else until her surgery.When she told me the date, the only thing she was worried about is that she would miss Easter dinner! The girl this week was still in bed a year later, and had regained most if not all the weight she had lost. Her husband was an enabler in getting her everything she wanted. Scary.

On the other hand, my cousin Cynthia, has her last appointment on the 30th, and hopes to have surgery by the end of Feb. She started this journey in late November.

What is everyone doing for fun this weekend?

I watched the show and that put me back in check! I wished I had Penny's snail mail address! I would write that girl a letter and tell her like it really is! I thought she treated that Dr like ****!!!!! Uncalled for!  She is a food addict big time and needs deep therapy! I wish I worked for that Dr! 

That show really tore me up!

I am off today and am still in my robe. I have to get going tho, because I am meeting my daughter, Katie at IKEA when it opens.

Crystal, I have learned something that always works.........be super nice to the verbal abuser and just about when you want to kill the witch, say to her, as you look directly into her eyes, "Are you having a bad day?"Be firm but not nasty. DO NOT BE SWEET.  This always makes the person back-down and say, "no why"  (even tho they know exactly why you are asking) Then respond, "you seem a little upset or tense, your voice is a bit angry. Everything ok?" The answer I always get is, "oh I'm sorry, I have a toothache, or I have a cold, or I dont feel good." They now know you are going to call them out on bad behavior. NEVER make it about you, make it about them. This witch needs an check. Check that witch!!!!!!! It's even better to do it when a manger is in the vicinity.

My house refuses to get warm. I woke up this am and it was 60 degrees in my house! I turned the heat off and on and it seemed to start right away and there is warm air coming out of the vents. I hope its not my furnace. Perhaps its my thermastat. Ugh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Crystal, please let us know how the pitcher works for you. I am looking to replace the sugar free drink I get at Starbucks. It is way too expensive.

Crystal, I don't have a pitcher, I try not to buy things that only have one use in the kitchen (to much Alton on food tv) but I make that frui****er. I just put the fruit in a pitcher and let it infuse overnight. I use lemons, oranges, limes and whatever other citrus I have on hand. Berries too.

I am catching up on computer stuff then I will run to town to get a tie dye cake for Riley and I to make when she comes tonight.

I got all new curtains and got them installed yesterday.  We got Liv's eyes checked yesterday and I made a big pot or Red beans.  Quite the accomplished day.

Today, I will just get ready for Riley and we will have left overs.

Crystal....you have got some great advice for your co-worker problem.  I LOVE Sharon's idea.  I should have done that!!!!!
