Tuesday Roll Call

Good Morning,

We got 2 maybe 3 inches of the white stuff last night. And, the wind she is a blowing.Plus a wind chill of -13. It will be another fun day in Illinois. I agree with Sharon, 75' and a warm breeze, it won't be to long.

I am working today. Yesterday, I decided to do nothing, other then make the bed and cook dinner. I was going crazy. I really don't know how some people can do it. It was a really boring day. 

Nancy, have fun getting to Utica today. 

I think I will go get ready for work, and do a few things before I go.

Hello everyone

I was at work till late last night.  I planned on making dinner but then the more I thought about it the more I didn't want to cook.  So I went to Jewel and picked up a rotisserie chicken and came home and opened a can of carrots....there you go dinner.  Then I proceeded to put in another s hours of work at home.  So I worked 16 hours yesterday...ugh.  And I still have so much to do!!!  I just keep thinking if I can do 3 days worth of work in one day...I can catch up faster (so I don't stop till 3 days is done)!!!  Maybe by next week and I will be done with all of these hours!!!!  

Today....I am making it a short day at work (meaning only 10 hours instead of 13) because Chris is taking me out to eat.  He says I deserve it.  Awww.  But I am taking work home with me.  I think I can get some stuff done after dinner. 

That girl at work that keeps giving me trouble well she was at it this weekend when we came in over the weekend.  She is the one that is helping me catch up and anything and everything that she sees that she thinks will get me in trouble...she runs to my boss.  I'm not sure why she is doing this.  But this time it didn't work because the issue she ran to my boss about, my boss was already well informed of and it was not my fault.  And the lady was caught telling on me...and she says to me...well I didn't know if this was a problem....and I said, well next time you can try asking me....and I smiled.  Hahaha!!!!

I am feeling tired and will need this take advantage of this early evening and go to bed at a decent time. 

You know this really has been a crap Winter.  Amanda wanted me to email her pictures of the snow and she showed her host family  they just had a bunch of questions about how it melts of the roofs and how we get around and stuff like that.  Funny they have no idea what life with snow is like.  Weird. 

Well I have to get going....I am going to work extra early...see ya later...bye

Hey there, Lisa and the rest of Illinois!

I spent the weekend with my hubby at the hotel in Rockford for his Christmas Party weekend.  It is the first time we went as "adults"......with no children.  It was interesting.  We still got up before 9 on Saturday and went to the pool area to do the hot tub.  I made TONS of "snacky foods" for him and his friends to eat while they played cards and such but brought a lot of them home.

The party itself had a "70's DISCO band".  SO I danced and had fun while he watched. 

In the end... it was fun.

Today, I made home made salisbury steak for dinner.  Turned out very yummy.

I spent some time catching up on some unfinished knitting and laid out what I am taking to New Glarus. The Madison Knitters Guild is having a three day weekend to work on UFOs (unfinished objects). I found a sweater in the basement (naughty closet) that I do want to finish and another sweater that I pulled apart so that someone else can use the yarn.

I was surprised that the streets were so wet today despite the cold. My car looks so bad but it doesn't appear that it'll be clean anytime soon. You can hardly tell what the real color is!

I am enjoying the snow and to a certain extent the cold. It is winter, after all, and I love wearing sweaters and cold weather clothes. In another month I'll be sick of it I'm sure, but for now it's still OK.
