Sunday Roll Call
'Morning - one needs their shades today. It is nice to see the sun. We tramped all over the Loop yesterday after we bought our tickets for Phantom. While we were eating lunch it started snowing and by the time we got outside to walk back to Union Station it was slick underfoot, especially with the buildings that had granite sidewalks instead of concrete.
I am just about ready to get a few things done in the house. I still need to figure out what to make for din din and will need to save some energy for the early evening so I can watch last week's episode of Downton Abbey and then at 8 the new episode.
What is on your schedule for the day?

Hello everyone
Oh I am so tired from running non-stop this week. And yesterday was more of the same. I worked all day and then rushed home and got ready and rushed off to my mystery party....it was fun....but I was tired....and the roads getting there were horrible!!! Driving from Joliet to Oaklawn took over 2 hours. AND...I ate pretty good. I had some pulled pork (minus the bread) and some carrot sticks and couple mini dark chocolate bars. Considering there were a ton of deserts...the mini dark chocolate bars were a good compromise. And I love dark chocolate. From what I read eaten in small amounts it's good for you too.
Today I am working from home...yep more work. After today I am at about 80 hours this week. I have to get laundry done and that is it. But after the week I had today will actually be relaxing. Just staying at home and working and doing laundry. Sounds good to me. Chris has to work this weekend but I did warn him it is likely I will have to work next weekend (we were going to go and do something with the kids). I will have to keep up this pace till I catch up. I have two months of work to get done. Yesterday before I left work my boss did tell me that she appreciated my hard work and she knew that I was trained under horrible conditions and I have done more than was expected of me...score!!!!
I have always wanted to see the Phantom....I am sure it was wonderful and beautiful.
Good Morning,
Yes it is great to see the sun. It started snowing here by 9:15 yesterday morning and didn't stop until around 6. We got close to 7 inches of the white stuff.
No major plans for today. I am going to get bundled up and get my car cleaned off. I am off tomorrow, but it is suppose to get colder, and I don't want to wait until Tuesday to do it.
Dinner is going to be a crock pot roast, veggies and a salad.
Have a great Sunday,
Hugs,
Good morning,
We only got 2-3 inches of snow yesterday so we went to knitting, but afterwards we stayed home and vegged. I made bread dough last night and it's in the refrigerator doing its thing. I'm supposed to help a friend block a sweater today. Other than that I guess I'll watch the SVU reruns until the ice skating starts! I love winter sports and am so looking forward to the Olympics.
Next weekend we are going to a knitting retreat called UFO=unfinished objects, so I need to look through some old projects and see what I can take along. It's in New Glarus so that should be fun. Looking forward to it.
Have a good day!

Hello Everyone!
I am so sorry that I have been mia. It seems all I do is work and come home and crash. We have been so busy at work. And I get home and there is still more to do. This weekend, I spoiled myself and vegged with the kitties. So nice!
We got between 5 and 6 inches of snow yesterday. IT just kept falling hard all day long. About 5:30 my plow man came and dug us out. I am so thankful for Osvaldo. He does my yard work in the summer and plows in the winter when it is really bad. He is a jewel.
The cats have their catio back and it has some snow in it. This morning Buffy was out there playing in the snow then moving to a pillow to clean her paws off and then back to the snow! Too funny!
This afternoon Rick and I did the shopping. They had a good price on chinese at the store today and they make really yummy chinese so that is what we had for dinner. I am so stuffed and still have half my dinner leftover for tomorrow.
Tomorrow it is back to work. Ugh!
Connie, I am so sorry to hear about Bob. Their family will be in my prayers. That is really hard to have both of them go within a week of each other.
Chris, glad you had fun in the city.
Crystal, dont over do it with the work and get sick! Glad you got to go out for fun last night.
Lisa, be careful driving. The roads were pretty good today but getting cold again means that what melted will now be slick.
Thinking about all of you. Stay safe and have a good week!
