Tuesday Roll Call
I finally downloaded the Ios7 on my Ipad an Iphone. Now I can see what I am typing! What a concept!
I am flying to Denver tomorrow! I havent seen my gal pals in a year. I decided it was time to go!
I had my labs done last week. Not good. Protien was low. B-12 high, other things were crazy! Im taking the results to the surgeon so he can review them. Then Ill see him when I go back to Denver in March.

Hi Carla,
What is los7? I have an iPhone and an IPad, maybe I need to download that and just dont know it. That would not be a surprise.........I am not a techie. Far from it.
It is cold and blustery here. I went out at lunch-time to pick up lunch for the ladies because we had our monthly staff meeting today and boo-hoo'd the return of old man winter. I guess the 3 day heat-wave is over. It was over 40 degrees for 3 days...i really enjoyed it.
Connie, I hear you when you talk about car issues. I was just thinking yesterday, it's been 70K since I had a brake job. I guess I am lucky. Knock on wood. I do not recall the last time I got a new battery. My car is old and I make sure to get oil changes and stuff of that nature. I pray my car keeps on running for another 170K.
Crystal, I can offer no advice on products for hair, but I do know our bodies need good fats for our hair/skin/nails like coconut oil, avacados etc. Are you eating enough of those? I get my organic coconut oil at Sam's in Joliet. You can get a good sized bottle of $7. I use it in everything. The other night I put a spoonful in my protein smoothie. I also use it to make my organic popcorn, I slip a teaspoon in my yogurt and oatmeal. I put it in a bowl of soup. I try to get it in when I can. I dont fry often, but when I do I use coconut oil.
The system is acting funny and I am hoping I do not kicked out before I can send this. Usually when you dont hear from me it is because the system is acting weird and I cant copy and paste and then I lose everything before I can save what I have written.

Hello folks!
I went to my spinning group this AM. I hadn't seen most of the women since near thanksgiving for various reasons. It was good to catch up. I also went to the Woolgathering and knit for a while. Now I've been looking for patterns on Ravelry for knitting during the Olympics. I need fun but not impossible!
I got my iron checked last week because it was low last fall and now it's fine. Yeah. I've been taking Ferrous gluconate which is a relatively small pill and so not a problem to swallow. It was a little hard to find because there was only one kind on the shelf. Everything else is "ferrous something else"which is harder for us to absorb. That was clear, wasn't it!
Last night I made kale chips. Super easy and really good. If you don't like greens because of the texture, try these. Almost all the recipes online were identical, Tiny pieces of kale, olive oil and salt. I used garlic salt from Penzey's which is my "go to" spice. Ten min in a 325 oven. Done. Easy snack.
That's all from here,
Connie

Hello everyone
I just got home a little bit ago. I have to say my sinuses are really acting up....to the point I have been feeling dizzy. My ears are plugged up...that's why I am feeling dizzy. Ugh!!! Well more overtime. In fact I can take work home now so after this I will be working on some stuff. I like that set up. I can get this crap done faster without having to log so many hours at work. I can work from my recliner in my jammies.
I have my left over turkey burger in the oven.
As far as good fat....yes I do use coconut oil. In fact I have some in my turkey burgers. It makes them juicy. I also eat a serving of almonds every day. Oh and my eggs are fortified with omega-3. So I do try to incorporate good fats.
By the way I am loving my Fitbit and will recommend it to anyone. These new generation one are so much nicer than the older ones. I am almost glad I broke my old one. This is funny...Chris said when he gave me the gift that he got the 2 year warranty so if I break this one it's covered. Hahaha....boy he does listen to me when I tell him things. But anyway....I wear my Fitbit to bed now (you wear to bed also to track your sleeping habits) and it doubles as an alarm!!!! You log your food and of course it tracks your activity and it tells you at the end of the day if your at a calorie deficit or if you ate too much!!!! Oh I love this thing!!! Anyway I am happy to report that yesterday I ate 110 grams of protein!!! Woohoo!!! and I was at a calorie deficit!!!! Woohoo!!! I will say it again...I love my Fitbit!!!!
Well I am done with my Fitbit infomercial....hahaha
Well I have to get to work....I would like to get three hours in tonight. See ya later.
