Monday Roll Call
Good morning,
We had a nice weekend with breakfast with a friend, but we were mostly stuck inside since our driveway and street were like glass from Friday afternoon til Sunday morning. We tried to get out on Saturday and ended up with the car half in the garage and stuck! Lots of melt and sand later, we did get it back in! We cleaned most of Saturday and got some home chores done that we generally successfully avoid! I also cooked a couple of times (rare!). After we went out to breakfast Sunday, we went to the grocery store at which point the battery failed and we had to call AAA. The battery is being replaced today! I don't thnk they are supposed to last for 60,000 miles. LOL!
Plans for today aren't penciled in yet, so I'm not sure what we are doing. I've almost finished a hat I've been knitting and I really like it. I may make a cowl to match since I have enough yarn.
Hope each of you has a lovely day!

Good Morning.
I am at work, it started busy, now boredom. No one has been in for an hour or more.
i did not leave the house yesterday or Saturday. I do not know if anything is going on this coming weekend or not. We were lucky, there was very little ice in Streator.
Can you believe? January is almost 1/2 over. Maybe we will get lucky and the worst of winter is over with. I know, just dreaming.
i hope everyone is staying warm and safe.
Hugs,
Hello everyone
Well work is about to get super crazy. I had to work lots of overtime today. It's almost time for me to start entering my stuff into the new system. Mind you I have a back log of 2 months!!! It will be a whirlwind....not only do I have to enter this stuff into the system but I have to learn the new system....ugh!!! what I have been doing today is prep work. My boss was having me run one report after another. In all different combinations...in the new system. And I was able to do it!!! I hope this was impressing her....especially after all the crap that other lady talked about me. Because as it turns out that lady can't do any of this that I did today!!!! So bottom line is if I get canned it will be because of personality differences (because of that lady) and not because of my competence.
I wanted to go workout but after 11 hours of work I was just too tired. Especially knowing that I have a lot more to come. I think this week and next will be crazy and I will just have to not be so hard on my self if I can't get a workout in. I was awesome with my eating today. I ate fruit, nuts, and cottage cheese and work. And came home and waiting for my turkey burgers to finish. There is so much crap around there and I was able to stay away from it all today. I find it easier when I am busy. The more bored I am the more I want to snack. Although, I was bad with the water....I have to try remember to stop and drink when I am so busy.
I have not talked about this lately but I am in a major battle to stop my hair from breaking off and thinning out. It is getting bad. It doesn't seem bad until you feel how thin my hair is and look at pictures of me from just a year or two ago. I am trying really hard to get all my protein in. And I am taking tons of Biotin. I also am being extra "nice to my hair. I have stopped lightening it. My hair is going back to being dark brown. I use quality salon products. I have tried to stop washing my hair daily...it's hard though because my hair gets oily. By the way I did have my blood work done and my protein levels were borderline. I thought of protein drinks....but that's just extra calories daily....ugh!!!! I try to eat things that are high in protein like lean meat, cottage cheese, eggs. Anyone else have any other suggestions???
Well I time to eat dinner...see you all later. Bye
Crystal, you might want to consider a hair care product that you can get from your salon made by Bosley. It is called BOS-Revive. I only use that on my hair. I had thinning hair, very fine and it was disappearing fast. I have other issues with my thyroid also so my stylist suggest this product a couple years ago. It is very concentrated and you only need a little bit to wash and condition your hair. For my real short hair I only use about a nickle size squirt of product in the palm of my hand, wet my hair and then rub my hands together and apply it to my hair - follow the directions from there on the bottles. The shampoo stays on for a minute and the condition for 5 minutes while you shower. It is a 3 step process, shampoo, conditioner and then a foamy stuff you apply to your wet hair. The foamy stuff is like a mouuse. It is not sticky at all, believe me I highly dislike products that leave a residue. I used it daily for a month and saw new hair growth at the forehead. It is real pricey (cannot remember the cost), I get the large containers and they last me almost a whole year.
