Tuesday Roll Call

Hi Chicks,

Baby it's cold outside. I am sitting at my computer naked because I am so hot. I have my heat on 80 and all the fans going because our upstairs toilet is frozen. I was told to turn the heat up, open up cabinet doors, turn on fans to circulate the heat, dribble the water in the upstairs bathroom sink and wait. I've done all that and I feel like I am going to melt.

It took my husband 1 hour to get out of our driveway in his Camry this morning. I love my SUV.

I guess I am stuck here today. I will get things done around here.

We have been buying our beef locally from a farm and the meat is delicious. I have a roast I am going to make for tonight. Last night we had cube steak and the night before that we had sirloin steak. I find I eat much less when I eat this beef. Yummy!  I made the decision a  few months ago to not buy beef and pork from regular grocers. I am thankful  we can do that since there are only 2 of us.  

Well my chicadees, stay warm today and be safe.

Good morning,

Sharon, hairdryers can unfreeze pipes fairly safely depending on where the freeze is. Or do you have a space heater you could put in the bathroom? It seems expensive to have the whole house up to 80, not to mention annoying!

I suppose we'll stay in another day, but I'm getting cabin fever. the leaning lady comes today and I may leave while she is here, or else I could go to the basement (and clean?, NOT). I've got the main floor picked up already and just took a shower and got dressed. Guess it's time to read or knit! LOL! Such an exciting life!

Good morning IL peeps!

even though school is closed today, this women has to go out and run some errors.  Ryan has off today so I'm hoping we can spend some time together.  Then it's home to do some more crocheting.  I'm making some ear head wraps for Maddie and all her friends.  Well, better go and jump in the shower.  When I'm home and don't go out anywhere, I find myself not showering and staying in my pjs all day.  Nothing wrong with that...right!?   Stay warm my friends:)

Good Eveving.

I braved the cold and went to work today.I had a few people in. My co-worker had off today, her husband was having a procedure done. Mine has to go in Friday to have a cyst lanced. It wasn't to bad, it was toasty in there. Of course I had the small heater on high, and I had on an extra layer. Plus, I had a blanket with me.Tomorrow I have to drive to LaSalle to work. Which means early leaving and late getting home.

Sharon, the picture of you sitting there nude is funny.  Connie's idea of a hair dryer is the best solution I know of. Connie, I hope you were able to find something to do today. 

Kim. I find that I cannot stay in Pjs all day. If I do, and I haven't for years, I don't get anything done. I think it is the idea of work. 
You have to get ready for the day when you get up.
