Well, we are in for a weather "ride".

Dave is just about ready to go out and tackle round one of the drive and sidewalks. It will be one of those things to watch during the day for the subsequent times that you need to go back out due to the blowing snow.

I guess I know what everyone else is doing today -  staying warm, watching the white stuff and venturing out occasionally to try to control the blowing snow. I will opt to stay in. They just mentioned on CBS local news to shovel/blow the snow in batches to help limit your exposure to the cold.

Hi friends,

We woke  up to a plowed driveway this morning. I didn't hear anything but we're open. We are going out to dinner tonight if the weather stays the same. I hope we can go I've been looking forward to this for a month.

We got a lot of snow yesterday but I don't think we're due any today. We went knitting and then to the grocery to pick up a couple of things. We'll probably stay in Monday, but we might go to the knitting store. We probably should take down the tree and the rest of the decorations but we do usually leave them up til Epiphany (Jan 6) and then take them after that.

My friend Vicki's funeral was yesterday. I feel very sad about her death, even though I know she wouldn't have wanted to be kept on like that. Her emergency was so close to mine that I wonder why I loved and she didn't. She was 15 years younger than me. The post on her FB page show how much she was loved and how many people were her friends. So sad.

I hope all of you stay safe and warm,

Connie

Good Afternoon,

Channel 5 this morning said that this is the coldest in the Chicago area since 1983, I can believe it. BTW, we have over 10 inches on the ground and it is still coming down.

We did go to Yorkville yesterday, so glad she changed it from today. We wouldn't of gone.

I stared cleaning out the bathroom vanity yesterday, finished it this morning. Now on to the closet.

Some kind of chicken for dinner tonight.

Stay inside if you don't have to go out.

Hugs,

Lisa

Hi Y'all,

This weather is unbelievable. We have about 12 inches and the snow is coming down like it is never going to stop. I wont let G shovel. It is too cold and the snow just keeps coming down anyway.

I was out in it yesterday, and decided to just stay in and watch the games today. I am hoping Green Bay beats SF.

Great Idea to start our cars. I think I will after the game. I'll let it run for awhile. My car is 13 years old and has 179K on it. I have no idea how old the battery is.......

Connie, I am so sorry about Vicki. It seems we were just praying for her husband...now she is gone. I am glad God healed you and you are here with us.

I hate being addicted to whatever it is I am taking. It is an anti-depressant and when I forget to take it for a couple days it is like there is a buzz saw in my head and the dizziness is awful. I also have gotten fat on it. I'd love to dump it, and will come spring. I will do it gradually with my doctor.

Well, stay warm and safe dear ones.

Hugs,

Sharon

We have about a foot on the ground and it is still falling.

Hubert is off tomorrow, so I should be able to get to work.

Be careful.

Oh the weather outside is frightful.....

Hello Everyone,  I think we got moved to Alaska and no one told us about it!  It sure is nasty out there!  I am wondering about work tomorrow.  No they will not close the center.  I dont know if I will show u*****t.  The city and police depts are begging people to stay home.

I would not let Rick shovel today.  He fell earlier this week and hurt his back.  So I called my backup gardener and snow removal person.  He came with a plow and had it done in no time.  It was worth the money.

Rick was supposed to pick up Gage yesterday to come stay with us for a week.  His cell phone was not working and mine was dead on the battery charge.  He decided to wait until today and now we are going to miss seeing Gage at all over his Christmas break.

They have not done the streets yet.  In fact they have been pulling the plows in as they cannot keep up with the wind and drifting snow.

So,  stay warm and safe everyone.  This is not the weather to venture out in.

We had a quiet weekend here which was nice.  Got a lot of cat time in which I always love.

Nothing really new here.  Just trying to stay sane  being couped up!

Everyone have a great day!
