Friday Roll Call
Hello everyone
I got my Fitbit up and working. These new ones are really nice and so is the new dashboard!!! Can I say I am happy I don't have my old anymore...I am so excited....and I'm joining the gym tomorrow. Yeah!!! I am sure it will be crowded with New Years people. Why couldn't I finish paying off my car in October!!! I have my gym bag all ready to go. I haven't to use that in forever. Not since I lived in Urbana. It will be nice to get my hands on the weights...I haven't had proper weights since Urbana...and I can tell.
Today after work I have a lot of errands to run...then it's off to Chipotle. Then home. What is your day like?
I am not too happy with this Winter. Lots of snow and freezing temps!!! What the heck!!! I wish I could just stay inside and not leave till April!!!
Well I better get going...I have windows to scrape...ugh. Stay warm. Bye
Good Morning,
Did I mention that it is darn cold out this morning? I guess we should be glad we aren't in New England, where they are getting pounded with snow. Some places have more then 30 inches on the ground.
I do have to venture out today. I need to get some food. I also need to go to the lumber yard for 2 10 ft 2x2s, so I can set up a quilt frame.
Crystal, have fun at the new gym.
Stay safe and warm today.
Hugs,
Where is Al Gore now? He keeps harping on global "warming".
I can remember this type of weather all the way back into my childhood in the late 50-60's. It seems that there have been some patterns of winter where we have been fortunate and have had all seasons mild, not too much snow or rain and then we get what is happening now. I do not say too much about it; that is just me. I just make sure I make wise decisions about walking and driving.
Que Sera, Sera, just like the Doris Day song.

Good morning,
We have a lunch date with some friends and a dinner date with others. In between we are going to knit. So glad we got the vents cleaned out in the house. It is so much warmer in the house, it is unbelievable! Who knew? We have struggled with insulation and warmth for years and it was the air ducts all along!
We have several things planned this weekend. If the cars start, we're good to go. I did pull out the long down coat which I've had years and only worn a few times. It's a little too big but who cares in this weather. I think it's rated to -20, so that's the one I'll choose!
Hope you all have a warm day!. Remember we'll be fussing about the heat in a few months!

Good afternoon Crystal and the rest of Illinois!
I am huddled in a comforter, fully dressed (including 3 layers on top) and freezing. I seem to have a bit of a bug, probably related to the one my boys had over Christmas. I spent all of yesterday in bed when I was not in the bathroom. This too shall pass, but I am feeling like I need a nap.
Lisa------your soup sounds delicious and I could sure use some today. I will probably have to settle for store bought.
We had a house full for New Year's Eve and played some, "Minute to Win It" type games. Right after midnight, I went to bed. Exciting, I know. I DID get to meet one of my "kids'" new son, so it was a good night.
After Todd gets home, I will need to take him to get his car from the shop. After that, I will probably get back in bed and rest.
I hope you all stay warm and safe during this cold spell. Like Chris says.....the weather waxes, wanes and cycles. It will be warm eventually!
