SOME ONE WOKE ME UP LAST NIGHT AND WILL REMAIN NAMELESS! I was so ticked and sleeping so soundly. I should wake him up right now but do not want to deal with a crab$$ later on.

Got that over with . . .

Gonna watch the Rose Parade @ 10 and crochet while doing so. Gotta get a beef roast in the oven sometime today also.

What ya all doing today?

Hello everyone

I fell asleep before New years but Chris called me to say Happy New Year...I thought it was sweet.  He gets off work at 11:30 but was late because a patient had an episode.  So he was warming up his car when he called....so we couldn't be together in person but we were on the phone together.

I did run into our Miss Sharon at Walmart yesterday.  I was so busy rushing around I didn't even notice her....hahaha!!!!  I was doing groceries and picking stuff up for Amanda's Christmas package.  Ya I haven't sent it yet.  But that was on purpose...it's best to send it off season so it doesn't get stolen.  The wrong kind of people see a package from the US around Christmas and know its a package full of goodies and take it.  My package will arrive a couple weeks late.  So it should be safe from that fate.  Again I got some weird requests.  But some normal ones.  Amanda wants new underwear and a headlamp (the kind to go hiking), a National Geographic magazine and Fannie Mae trinidads.  Charles wants Nutter Butter cookies....and of course I am making and packing extra well... homemade chocolate chip cookies and chocolate brownies.  This package will cost me at least $60 to send.  It is so expensive!!!!

Today I haven't decided if I am going out...it depends how ugly it gets later on.  But here around the house I have to laundry, dye my hair, give myself a pedicure.  Start my year off right and workout...oh ya baby!!!  Not whole lot.  I may end up watching a movie later...who knows

Well new Years resolutions...well I always focus on things like losing weight, working out, eating healthy...stuff like that.  This year I decided I want to focus on the inside (I saw this on the news and it inspired me).  I have decided to ...

Forgive and forget....I am not going to hold anymore grudges...I am moving on.  Its not that I am going to be friends with them...I'm just wasting anymore time hating

Patience...Oh boy I like to have everything when I want it.  I hate waiting.

And last but most importantly... Love myself....this one will be the hardest one for me.

I think if I can do these three things this year I will be a happier person.

Chris-  I don't know if you knew this but Amanda was in the Rose Bowl Parade.  Her high school marching band was chosen to march in the parade when she was in 11th grade.  It's quite an honor.  Apparently, only 10-15 bands march...I don't remember exactly how many.  But they only pick the best.  So I have a DVD and a plaque of Amanda's band in the parade!!!  It was really exciting.

Well time to eat breakfast....see you later.  Have a great first day of the year.

Great memories for Amanda being in the Rose Parade. Dave's sister and her husband are alum's of U of Iowa. They went in '82 (I think) and then when the team played again a few years later. They had a lot of fun because they were both involved in marching band for the Uni.

Happy New Years Day.

I am just picking up the house, then starting my corned beef for dinner tonight. I may take a run to Walmart, not sure yet. I also want to start working on the books for 2013. I hate having stuff out for the last year and the new one at the same time.

Otherwise, nothing is happening. Hubert will be home about 2. No plans for the rest of the week.

We did go to dinner last night, we got home about 9. It was nice, I did decide to try a new hairdo for a change. Curls are gone for now, sleek and smooth was the way to go. It is to much work for everyday, but I now know I can do it with the lenght of hair I have.

Have a great, stay at home day. No snow yet.

Hugs,

Lisa

Happy New Year  Everyone!

Well, the snow must have gone north of us.  We were supposed to get about 3-4 inches but it missed us for a change.  YEAH!  I spent the day yesterday cleaning my desk.  It took a lot of time and weeding through lots of papers deciding what to pitch, what to shred and what to keep.  I now have a neat desk.  We will see how long that lasts.  Over the past days I have been cleaning and organizing things.  Much needed projects that always seem to get put off.  I love being organized but hate to do the cleanup that it takes.  I always tell myself I will not let it get too bad but then it does.

We had a quiet  New Years eve at home.  We both stayed up doing projects of all things.  Rick was working on programming his Garmin and figuring it out.  We talked to Gage at midnight.  We also sat and talked.

Today there are more projects to do.  I am starting out the new year being organized!

Trying to stay warm and not go out.  Tomorrow it is back to work and the usual grind.

Hope everyone has a great day!

I hoping too that they are wrong, ...but it's after 3:00 p.m. and it's snowing by me, I just looked out my window and it's snowing.

My appointment that I went to this past Monday went okay I guess. The doctor was about two hours behind time and when I did get called in I had to wait another 15 minutes or so just for about a five minutes visit. We talked about getting a surgery date for me, but went went over my test(s) from November and they do look good, but he and someone else from his team was a little concerned about one thing from the test(s) that something about the electrical part of my didn't look good so the doctor ordered up some x-rays for my neck area and once the doctor and or someone from his them will go over the x-rays and if they look good then I'll get penciled in for my Chiari surgery. I just want to get this over and done with.

Happy New Year!

We had the knitters to our house today and even with the snow there were 5 of us. I had made red beans and rice and they were yummy!

it started snowing here yesterday at 1 and has been snowing since. I would say our driveway had about a foot of snow when we shoveled this morning.. I don't know the official amount but it's still snowing! We went to Social for dinner and it was beautiful downtown with all the Christmas lights and the snow. It's also lovely to sit on our porch and watch the snow.

Have a wonderful New Year! I wish the best to each of you!

Connie
