Tired is my word of the day. I just want to veg out and take a couple more naps.

What a day yesterday for my sister's memorial service. There were family and friends that I had not seen for close to 10-25 years.  What a testament to my sister's life! It was non stop people.

What are ya all doing today besides staying warm.

&

PS I am getting so tired of the glitches that this new roll out of the website is having with the over typing, what you have typed has completely disappeared, you press the enter key and you have to scroll back up to find what you just typed after hitting enter, cannot choose color and font choices or sometimes smileys. I can never choose a smiley when using IE, here at home or work. If any of you still are experiencing issues you should report it to OH with the complaint/issue form at the bottom of the screen. Just do not stand by and let someone else do it because then they will not act on getting a fix for it or they will think that everything is hunky dorey with you.

Hello everyone

This whole week has been a whirl wind of activity and work....too many days I went to bed really late and had to get up early.  I guess it all caught with me Friday night.  I fell asleep before 9pm and woke up at 6am....yep over 9 hours of sleep.  I never sleep that much.  I usually sleep 5-6 hours.

I bought a pretzel maker yesterday for 1/2 off.  So today me and Chris are making pretzels for the boys.  The boys are mostly busy playing with all their new Christmas stuff.  So that leave free time on our hands...hahaha!!!

Really no big plans for me today.

Chris you are so lucky to have had such a close bond with your sister.  What a wonderful thing...sisterhood.  As you may or may not know I don't have that with my own sister.  I have tried many times over the years but it just never works out.  You had and still have a wonderful gift, treasure it.

Well I have to go take a shower...have a good day...even though it's gray and gloomy, like Lisa said.  Bye.

OH problems---OMG!!!  I can't agree more.  Apparently, it only works correctly with smart phones and ipads...well I primarily use my laptop or work computer for these roll calls.  I'm sure 75% of the people out there are like me.  So why they are catering to the minority of the users I have no idea???  I can't tell you how many times I had entries disappear on me!!!  I get so discouraged or angry or pressed for time that I end up not retyping the entry and that is why most days you don't see me on roll call.  And I absolutely hate the way you have to keep scrolling up to see what you typed....grrrr!!!

Good Morning,

I really haven't had to many problems with OH. The one day mine disappeared....... I think I did something stupid.

We got 99% of Christmas done yesterday. All I need to do is box up the wreaths. I was hoping to have room in the closet, but it just did not work out.

I had Hubert pick up a corn beef for New Years day yesterday. He brought home 3. They were on sale for $1.99 a lb. It is a good thing.

Back to work tomorrow for 2 days, then off until next Monday.

Crystal, sometimes our bodies know what we need better then our brain does. You needed sleep.

Karla, so sorry that you are having back problems.

Dawn, hopefully your pain issue will go away.

Chris, you have good memories of your sister.

Jason, good luck at your doctor tomorrow.

Kim, your pizza looked good.

Nancy, you are working tomorrow, right?

Have a good day.

Hugs,

Lisa

Hello friends,

I found out this morning that the family of my friend Vicki has decided to discontinue life support since she has never regained conciousness and is deteriorating rapidly. I am so sad about this because her journey was so similar to mine. And her complications were so much like mine. It brings to mind how brief life is as well as how lucky I am to be alive after all the complications I went through. I am so grateful for my wonderful doctor and the UW hospital and staff. Vicki is only in her mid 50's and had so much more to live for. She loved her kids and her grandkids and was so involved in their lives. She went to all their games. She also exercised regularly and did the right things with her band. Her husband Bob is still rehab with the loss of his leg. He also has a lot of heart problems. It's all so sad! I  am having more sadness over this than I expected.

We did enjoy the time with my son and granddaughter. We certainly laughed a lot and they ate a lot. We had a lot of leftovers so Dan won't have to eat at Chili's for a week. I'm sure he's tired of the food there after 4 years of working there. We did get to taste a lot of southern specialties. Dan also bought us some canned greens, Glory brand, which he thinks are as good as fresh because they are already seasoned. We'll enjoy these, but they will take us a long time to eat!

I hope you are having a good day,

Connie

Good Afternoon Everyone!

It is another day of vacation and kicking back for me.  Man am I loving this!  I am getting something accomplished each day but at my own time and speed.  I am still on vacation until Thursday.  Then I work Thursday and Friday and have another weekend!  You sure cant beat this!  I really think I would love to be retired.  The days go just as fast and I feel so much less stressed out.  Sigh.  If only I could afford it.

Chris, I have reported issues to OH.  Their response was they don't see the overwriting and when I sent a screenshot, They began to question me on the brand of computer, type of computer, the program that I use to access the site etc.  I informed them that I use Google Chrome which is one of their preferred websites and I am using Windows 7 etc.  Never heard another word back and still have the same problems.  So much for complaining.

Chris, It is amazing and heartwarming to see so many people come to honor the deceased person.  It is overwhelming at times but when you reflect on it, you realize just how special that person really was to many people.  I know that does not make the loss any easier, but somehow seeing family and friends does help.

Crystal, the things you come up with are amazing.!  A pretzel maker?  The boys will love that.  It sounds like a fun day planned.  I am glad you got a good nights sleep the other night.  You have been running yourself ragged even if you did not know it.  It was time to play catch up.

Lisa, I am glad you got Christmas put away.  That is always a big chore.  I read somebodys facebook post the other day and she stated the one good thing of not putting up a Christmas tree was you dont have to undecorated it!  I though  yep.  I miss having a tree up but not the undecorating.

Connie, I am so glad you had a good trip to see your son for Christmas and that the weather cooperated.  Now you can rest up after all that traveling and eating.  I am so sorry to hear about Vicki.  That is so sad.  It is difficult to hear.  You have to acknowledge the family wishes, but they are not always what we want.  I am so thankful that we never had to make that decision for any of our loved ones.  I hope that continues.  My prayers are with Vicki's family and you during this difficult time.

Carla,  I hope you are feeling better.  If not how about going to the Quick care unit or whatever it is called in your area.  I have gone to mine several times instead of the ER.  My er deductable is $450.00 unless they admit me.    Needless to say, I avoid the er.  But our fast care is great and there is no waiting!  Almost better than a doctor appointment.  The one I go to is staffed by doctors and they write prescriptions and the whole bit.

Dawn, I am so sorry that your mouth is still having problems!  That is horrible.  I would not worry about being seen as a big baby.  We know you are not one.  There was definitely something wrong.  Never ignore what your body is telling you.  I hope the antibiotics kick the infection fast.

Jason, good luck at your Chiari doctor appointment tomorrow.  I hope you get a surgery date set and get this behind you!  It is getting really cold here again so visions of Arizona are looking really great right now!  Enjoy!

The cats are having a ball with all their Christmas presents.  Yesterday we had a tennis match in the bathtub.  Buffy and Gizmo were pushing a ping pong ball at each other and Smokey was sitting on the bath chair acting as a referee or coach!  It was hilarious!

Everyone have a great day and a wonderful Monday!
