Hello everyone

What a Christmas.  It was a very nice day.  And Chris spoiled me rotten....I did get my Fitbit I wanted.  I also got a Hello Kitty flat iron, a beautiful throw to keep warm, a cordless mouse, candles...I also got a gigantic Reeses Peanut butter cup...this thing is huge, about the size of my head!!!

The party went well...except that I ended up with a migraine for a few hours!!!  What ended up happening was everyone was in the family room and kitchen,  I curled up on the couch in the living room for awhile.  Turns out Chris's mom was in there too because she had to work that night and she wanted to rest.  So the two of us were in there resting.  Chris would come in there every so often and ask how I was doing and rub my neck (which feels really good when you have a migraine...who knew).  Luckily, it finally went away and I had a great time.  Chris has a great family.  They had italian food and I had the best meatballs I ever tasted in my entire life...omg they were good.  They packed me leftovers for tonight.

I did get the best compliment.  Chris's sister's finances' parents were there.  I guess they come every year.  His mom came up to me when I was leaving and said she had been trying to get know Chris for the past 3 years and Chris was always very quiet and kind antisocial.  She said this year he was "talk-talk-talk-talk" and she got get to know him for the first time.  And she said "whatever you are doing to make him so happy, keep doing it"  Awww, isn't that sweet.  That made my day.

Christine-  I am so sorry to hear about your sister.  But what a beautiful way to pass on.  It really is a gift to end your life in such a peaceful and lovely way.

I hope everyone had as nice of a Christmas as I did....sounds like you did!!!  I am looking forward to next year when my Amanda will be back!!!  Yeah!!!

Back to work have a nice day...see ya later.

Hi friends,

We had a great Christmas with my son and granddaughter. We laughed and laughed as well as having a great dinner. Daniel, who is a chef, cooked and Kay and I did the dishes. My daughter had sent some special bakery goods from Carbondale so we had a taste of the past and a taste was plenty. The nostalgia was great but I really didn't want more than a taste. Today we are going to work on knitting with my granddaughter and just hang out together.

Have a good day and don't shop til you drop!

Good Morning,

Both Hubert and I are off today, we are just finishing things up and staying out of each others way. I want to get the kitchen done and cleaned up. It seems everything gets dumped in there. I did straighten some selves in the closet. I knew I had other sweaters and  such. They all got pushed to the back. My new years plan is to wear everything on the self at least once.

We are missing a water bill. I guess I should call them and find out why we never received one this month.

I hope everyone got what they wanted for Christmas. Monica got me a stick blender. It was one of the things I wanted, but never asked for. That, along with some jrwelry and a ceramic bird house. She and Morgan also made sugar scrub. I told her to talk to Dawn, since she is into that too.

Have a great day,

Hugs,

Lisa

Good evening Crystal and the rest of Illinois!

Christine.....sorry for your loss, but sounds like that is the way to go.

Yesterday, we had a wonderful dinner of prime rib, ham cheezy potatoes and fresh green beans.  Everything was delicious and came our right on time.......since Liv had to work at 4.  Todd actually fulfilled many of my list items!  This is good, since I can't really remember the last time I got a Christmas gift from him.  He seems to "forget".  I got some really cool framed pictures.  One of my "born" kids and one of most of my "other" kids.

Glad to hear that Crystal's first of many Christmas's with Chris's family went well.

I did NOT attend Todd's family get together on Tuesday night.  I stayed home, got things done around here and went to be early.  It was wonderful!  I don't like their family get togethers on a regular day so it was nice to take a stand.  I got lots of messages from them, but refused to attend.  I don't really want to be negative, but that man hurt me and I do not feel that I should be forced to go there and "make nice".  Much better that I stay home........as the old saying goes. "If you have nothing nice to say......."

Riley is hanging out with us for the next couple of days since her parents have to work.  She is still in her PJ's.....if she is happy, so am I!

I wish you all a great day!

Dawn,

Yay! Good for you that you took care of you and took a stand. It is a good sign when we put ourselves first sometimes. Sign of being healthy. Cheers. Sharon
