Christmas Eve Roll Call
Merry Christmas Eve,
Well, if it isn't done by now, it doesn't need to be done. I am sitting here at the computer all covered up in a fuzzy Christmas throw. Not that I am cold, it is just perfect for this morning. We are below 0, with a -18 wind chill. And...... a possibility of new snow for Christmas.
Hubert wanted to know if we had the fireplace dvd to play tonight. I told him no, but I will try to get it for him at Wally World this morning. I am meeting a friend for breakfast, something we have done for years.
Nancy, Everything will work out present wise. My sister is also waiting for stuff she ordered the first week of Dec. She also was on the phone trying to track her stuff down yesterday. It is to get to her house this morning. Hopefully before her kids get there from the Moline area.Crystal had a great idea for you yesterday.
Crystal, You will only have to wait less then 24 hours to open your gifts. Isn't great to be excited about the holidays again.
Sharon, I know you and G will have a great holiday.
Dawn, you always make everyday a great one.
Christine, your holiday plans are great. Enjoy.
Connie and Kay, heres hoping you didn't have any problems driving to Arkansas yesterday.
Randy, I am hoping you can get through the holidays with no problems.
Jason, just think, a few more days and you will be leaving on your trip.
Kim, Happy happy to you.
To Everyone, Stay cheerful and happy. the Christmas season only comes 1st a year. Be glad you are alive and kicking.
Huggers,
Good Morning My Dear Ones,
I feel like Lisa, I am done.......it is a great feeling. My house is pristine, check. , I just have to pop things into the oven, check. Tree finally up, check. And all my gifts are wrapped, check. I even managed to babysit the grand-babies yesterday while my daughter got her hair done.
This morning I am going to bake some more stollen and then take a nice long hot bath in the jacuzzi. And wait for 4p , that's when everyone is coming over.
It was a pleasure to see my husband put the tree up for a change. A first! He loves the remote control. LOL
This year for Christmas, I hope Santa brings:
Crystal, a sweet family gathering for the holidays with the man she loves that will be the first of many many more.
Connie, a time spent with her loved ones where the weather is sunny and warm.
Randy, a delicious piece of smoked meat to share with the ones he loves and lots of left-overs.
Nancy, a call from customer service telling her everything is fine and a day swaddled in comfy clothes surrounded by her man and the fur babies.
Lisa, a wonderful lunch and a continued stress free holiday with your loved ones.
Kim, a sense of peace as she is home and enjoys the love of her family.
Jason, a call that the surgery is set and the knowledge that everything is in order as he heads to the sunshine and warmth.
Chris, special couple time with your hubby to snuggle.
Dawn, feeling as loved as you make people feel loved. With your fam around you everyone smiling and no boo boos of any kind.
and to me, my family together for the first time in 2 years, loving each other and getting along.
God bless you all. May the light of the Bethlehem Child be in your day today.
Hugs,
Good morning,
I'll be going to my aunt's house tonight for Christmas. I'm looking forward to her Christmas polish dinner, there is a few things I hope she makes for the meal.
Don't get me wrong...I'm sad for this Christmas Holiday because it's been 4 years since my mother passed away. I did light a candle at church this past weekend which made me happy and feel good.
Thank you so much, Hopefully I'll find out about my surgery date this coming Monday Dec. 30th. I just want to get this over and done with so I can move on and have my next joing replaced which will be my left hip. I can't wait fo Jan. 4th od 2014 to get here, I'm looking forward to the sunshine, warmth, and some rest & relaxation.
I wish everyone a great and safe hoilday season with your family and friends. Merry Christmas everyone.
hugs.

Merry Christmas Eve
I am a little behind today. I didn't realize Chris had the day off yesterday so of course he wanted to me to come over and spend the evening with the him and the boys after work. He has the boys during Christmas vacation (otherwise he would come to my place). So instead of baking last night I spent the evening playing legos (building houses) and watching a weird TV show called MXC. It was a fun evening. And he has a fireplace so I always plant myself in front of the fireplace. I left at 9 and got home and made one kind of cookie (Oreo Balls). On my way home I was diverted because there was a horrible accident. It was less than a mile from my house. One car was upside down and the other one was on its side...it was an ugly accident. I just thought...those people's Christmas is ruined. Glad it wasn't me..
So today I have tons of cookies to bake...and a pound cake. Something I wanted to avoid by doing some yesterday evening. Oh well. And I am making dinner for me and Chris. Chris is spending the night with me.....we are going wake up and exchange gifts at my place and have a nice morning. Then we are picking the boys up at their mother's place around noon and going to his parent's house. Then around 6 we are hoping over to Brenda's to finish the evening. There is my Christmas.
The one gift I am excited about is the digital frame I bought for Amanda's grandparents. I then loaded all of Amanda's Peace Corp pictures on to it. So they will have all Amanda's amazing Peru pictures right there with them. For Chris I bought him a wireless speaker for his phone so he can listen to his music. No wires needed...all he has to do is lay his phone next to the speakers!!!! And I'm not sure how this works but you can use hand gestures to control the speakers...so no remote needed. I also bought him a bunch of little gifts...but this is his main gift. I love it...I want one!
Oh and I plan on staying in my jammies all day and not going outside at all!!!! It's a jammie day!!!
Have a wonderful Christmas Eve and Christmas if I don't have time tomorrow to hop on here...see ya...bye
Merry Christmas Eve,
I'm sitting by my computer and trying to keep warm. It is cold out there at 0°. There is a dusting of snow by me.
Cool. How sweet of you.
Can't wait for it to get here. I just hope my flight is not delayed with Southwest Arilines on Jan. 4, 2014 let alone cancelled be, I just hope the weather will be good for me to and from Arizona. I'll try me best to bring back some warm weather for Illinois.
Thank you, Same with you, Merry Christmas to everyone.
Christmas hug.

Ok....you know I have troubles with eating when I get nervous or stressed (excited). Well this whole thing with the Christmas party. I am nervous about tomorrow. I can't eat. I just tried to eat a little something and after one bite I couldn't eat anymore...it feels like it's hanging in my throat. Geeze why am I so nervous and stressed. this is what I wanted!!! I keep telling myself to calm down. I am going to try to eat some pudding...it's a slider I have on hand.
Merry Christmas Eve,
we are almost to Memphis, so about 2 hours more to Little Rock. Weather is sunny and COLD but not as cold as you guys. It's about 19 here. We had a lovely Thai dinner with my daughter last night. It was great just to visit. Tonight we'll eat at Chili's while my son cooks in the kitchen. Tomorrow we pick up our granddaughter. Fun! I've got yarn for her, of course!
Merry Christmas to all of you--enjoy your families, friends, pets and time off!
Connie
