Monday Roll Call
Good Morning Dear Friends,
It is so very nice to sit in my office and veg before I begin this last day of trying to get done.
We went to a candle light service last night. it was so lovely. It was a small group. I think everyone was in the Christmas rush and decided to stay home. The church was dark except for the candle light. We sang old fashioned Christmas carols and ended the service with Silent Night. Our worship bands are awesome and the music is always beyond anything I would expect at a small church.
Today I am concentrating on the final sweep of cleaning. I also am making sure I have every ingredient I need for the dinner. I think I do.
Merry Christmas Eve Eve.
Hugs,
Sharon
Merry Christmas Eve Eve to all.
I am off to work in a couple of minutes. Then, I don't work again until next Monday.
Like you Sharon, if I am missing anything now, to bad. I will not go to the store for anything. Hubert will pick up the ice tomorrow before he comes home, that is all we need,
Tomorrow, I will do a final dusting and overlook everything. Then, relax before the family starts coming.
Have a great holiday,
Hugs,
Hello everyone
I'm at work...I stopped at Walmart on my way in. Yes for more ingredients. Not because I forgot them but because Chris had one request. How can I say no. He wanted macaroons. I had everything but the coconut. So rather than go when it was busy I ran in this morning to beat the crowds. I was in and out in 2-3 minutes.
I am sitting about 3 feet away from a table full of yummies. I can't stand it!!!
I can't wait till Christmas when everyone opens their gifts....and I admit I am dying to see what Chris got me. I did hint around for a Fitbit. Hehehe!!!
Well I better get going. See you later...Bye.
Good Evening Everyone!
I hope each of you are staying warm. It is COLD outside 5 degrees as I type this.
So much for planning ahead. I have been on the phone all day complaining about shipments. I sent my sister and her husband gift cards for Honey Baked Ham. Since they live on an island and only receive mail through a PO box on the mainland, I knew I could not ship a ham to them So I chose gift cards. They charged $12.00 for shipping it and then I get an email saying it could not be delivered as they needed a better address They shipped it UPS and UPS does not deliver to PO boxes. I knew this that is why I chose the gift card. They send gift cards through UPS???? I think that may be ironed out. Not sure they will receive it before Christmas because they will go to Kristen's in Orlando and may not get mail before they leave. Sigh.
I ordered clothing for Christmas and the place shipped the package without a street address. They are blaming this on me. I had a billing and shipping address on my order, have ordered from them many times. I emailed them a week ago and they chose not to respond. When I talked to them today to complain the response was "Well you do not have to shop from us!" Hows that for customer service?????
Then I placed and Amazon order on Sunday with a guaranteed delivery for tomorrow. They had a glitch with my credit card and decided to email me which I did not receive until today. Do none of these places use a telephone to call when there is a problem???? They finally said they would guarantee SOME of the items tomorrow but could not guarantee all of them. Uhm, I only ordered items that were in stock for guaranteed delivery. Why not all?
Needless to say I am frustrated and feel that Christmas is ruined for several people. So tonight my atttitude stinks.
Hope everyone else is enjoying the holidays and that all go well for each and everyone of you.

Nancy- I think you are being too hard on yourself. I know we want things to be perfecta and when things like this happen we get upset. But think about it if someone told you the cir****tances would you feel like your Christmas was ruined....no of course not. If this happened to me and you told me that Amazon screwed up and I won't get my present for another couple of days....I would say "thanks for the present, I can't wait to see what you got me"....see no biggie.
Just take a breath and don't let these companies ruin your holiday. give your family a card with a cute little IOU inside. I am sure your present will still be loved and appreciated.
