Thursday Roll Call
I don;t know what happened, but all of a sudden my message was gone .
Yesterday was another quiet day at work, then on my way home I stopped at Hobby Lobby to pick what I hope is the last material I need for my quilt top. I love the way it is coming along.
Connie, I am the same way. I do wear sweatshirts and tees around the house, but I always seem to dress more then others. I think maybe it goes back to Childhood. Remember, whenever we went anywhere, we had to be dressed up? Even shopping downtown St. Louis. Enjoy spending the holiday with your son.
Sharon, it sounds like you enjoyed your Christmas party at work. Ours at work is at the main office, in Rock Falls, you get paid to go, but no milage. So, our office opped out. For us its almost a 2 hour drive, eat lunch, listen to a few speeches, then drive back. All in all, about a 5 hour trip. Not worth it. You will have a great Cheistmas eve with your daughter and her family.
Dawn, I hope you are getting into the holiday mood.
Kim, my Christmas wish for you is that there is less turmoil in your life for 2014.
Nancy, You and Rick have a grand holiday with the furbabies.
Crystal, I am so happy that you found found Chris and his family.
Monica and Scott will be coming for Xmas Eve and spending the night. Then we will do Christmas Morning and they will go to Scotts parents house for the afternoon.
Now I need to get busy, I know I finished baking, but there is one cookie I really must make. Sugar cookies that I will decorate, We will see,
Hugs,
Hello everyone
Yesterday evening was spent helping Chris wrap presents. I was really surprised at how nicely he can wrap a gift. Guy are usually hopeless at this. We were at it for most of the night. We had gifts for 3 boys, his parents, and the rest of his family to wrap. It was quite a few gifts. He said he only has mine to wrap...which I offered to help wrap...hahaha!!!
So today after work I have so much running around to do because I got nothing done yesterday. I am not doing my wrapping till this weekend. Mainly because I am shopping for the bags and boxes Saturday.
On the whole dressing up thing. I hate dressing up....I never liked it. Not when I was a kid and not as an adult. That is what I consider a perk of working here....I can wear jeans and gym shoes and sweatshirts every day. When I do dress up, I am so uncomfortable the first thing I do when I get home is run to my bedroom and tear off my clothes and put on something more comfy. Dress pants and dress shoes are awful!!! I was taught to dress up church, interviews, weddings and court...anything else it's jeans. LOL!!!
Well see you all later...bye.
Good morning,
I hope everyone is having a good day. I have a couple of errands to run and a friend is coming over to pick up a scarf and hat which I knitted for a gift for her son's girlfriend. The rest of the day I hope to knit. It looks like we could have really bad weather over the weekend but it's supposed to be clear Monday when we leave so I hope we'll have smooth driving. It's always iffy to go south because they get so much ice.
Have a good day,
Connie
