Sunday Roll Call

Hi My Dear Ones,

Got up at 2:30a and could not sleep anymore .After 10 minutes, I decided to get up and figured I'd read a little and fall back asleep. No such luck so I started wrapping and wrapping and wrapping. Since it's after 6a, I am now going to run to the food store to get veggies to make a platter for my grandson's birthday party after church. I also did all my Christmas cards for the gals at the job.

Today is church, party, then home. I am already tired, so I am thinking nap after party.

Enjoy this day the Lord has made.

Good Morning,

Has everyone finished their Christmas shopping yet? If not, you have 10 days to do it. I will say, I am baked wrapped and basically done, until Xmas Eve, when we do an open house. It will be small this year, do to commitments of some of the couples that usually come over. 

Today, I am going to make cheese straws, and if I can get some carmals, I may make some turtles. 

I will make a pork tenderlion for dinner, but that is my day in a nutshell.

Hello everyone

I was soooo busy as predicted yesterday.  From the minute I woke up and had to rush to take a shower and get ready.  Then we went to pick up the boys.  We stopped at a couple stores.  From there we went to Chris's place and his parents came over and we gave his oldest son his birthday presents.  Then on to Hooters....which surprisingly had good food...and yummy fried pickles.  I also thought I was going to have a problem with my jealousy with all these half dressed women there.  But I was happy to find...I just didn't care.  I relaxed had fun. Then I was off to my Christmas party in Downers grove.  We had a cookie exchange.  Its a good thing I am so picky because I don;t like most of the cookies.  So I will be taking them over to Chris's house for the boys to devour.  There are a bunch of chocolate covered pretzels (one of Chris's faves).... I hate pretzels.  They catered from Buona Beef but I was full from Hooters.  So I had none,  We had a white elephant gift exchange and that is always fun.  OMG....I ended up with a water bottle that looks like a penis!!!  I said....ya I'm going to go to my new gym with this penis bottle and make a real impression!!!!  Hahaha!!!  I also got a key chain flashlite...but the lights...are bobbies!!!  Yep....I actually as a joke will put this in Chris's stocking!!!  Hahaha...can you imagine what he will think.  The gift I gave was a statue of a dog that looked like a hot dog...so it is a "Weiner dog"....it is just the silliest thing I ever saw.  It was at Goodwill...so I got it.  I gave a nice gift like Weiner dog....and get a X-rated water bottle!!!!  Well we played games and talked....it was fun.  I didn't come home till after midnight.

Today....again I have to help Chris with his Christmas shopping.  Some men really are clueless as to what to buy people.  Like his mom for instance.  He didn't know what to get her.  I said well I see her reading all of the time....what about a Barnes Noble gift card and a book light...some thing like that.  He loved it....and bought exactly that....hahaha!!!!  I got his mom a Boyds Bear ornament.....She loves them.  I noticed them all over her house.  He said I am good at figuring out what people like and buying stuff.  I said...no, I am a woman....hahaha!!!! 

But other than that....I am just hanging out and shopping.  It's a low key day.  I even dressed that way.  Jeans and a sweatshirt!!!! 

Well I better get going....I will see you all later. 

Sharon-  I have nights like that too.  Some people have trouble falling asleep but me I can fall sleep fine.  I will have trouble staying asleep.  I will wake up (usually around 2 also) and then I can't get back to sleep.  Luckily this only happens to me once in awhile. 

Christmas Cantata at a local church with such a great "painting" of the Christmas story from Old to New Testament in scripture, instrumentals and song - check

Fellowship afterwards - check

Meijer - for bird seed and way too many impulse foods afterwards (sale on some Lean Cusines that were going out of date and good for lunch at work). I guess I should not complain because what we saved more than pays for the gas to get there - check

Cheese fondue for dinner with bread to dip in it - check

Minor straighten up in the kitchen and dining room - not yet

No fresh tree for us this year - small 3' tree (had the tree already) with just Hallmark cooking gift ornaments to be lit - check

Miss the decorating stress - no - to be seen on the Christmas feeling after the holidays - check

Hi friends,

We are going to hear Kantorei, the local boys choir give their Christmas concert in a couple of hours. We know two of the boys. It's always beautiful!

After we will go out to dinner with friends. I will miss the Packers game but oh well, it's Christmas. 

We are thinking about a quick visit to Arkansas to see my son and granddaughter. The weather forecast looks doable. Just have to check his work schedule and her Mom's plans.
