Wednesday Roll Call
Hello My Snow Bunnies,
This snow bunny came home to feed the dog last night and was supposed to run back out a couple hours later for a small celebration with our house group. I fell asleep and woke up when G got home from the Bulls game. I cant believe I slept 4 hours and then just rolled over and slept until 5 this morning. This holiday is wearing me out. The extra fat around my middle isnt helping. HOHOHO
Today I have a busy day at work and I am trying to figure out how to get a tree in this extreme cold. I hear we are having snow again today......I have never had an artificial tree but I am thinking about it. I'd like a skinny one to put in a corner.I also know we are having a heat wave tomorrow...its going to be like 30! So we are going to put the stable up and the rest of the out side decorations.Slow but sure......
Stay warm dear ones................
Still praying...............
Hugs,
Sharon
Hello everyone
I found out yesterday it will be next week before I can start working in the new system. Of course in the mean time my work is just piling up!!!! 3 weeks worth!!! I sm still putting in some overtime every day. Which is nice for Christmas....because I still have wrapping to buy and extra groceries for baking to buy and there is always extra stuff I pick up.
A weird quirk about me...I spend all day long freezing my butt off but then for whatever reason when I go to bed I am hot. So I need a fan going...Winter or Summer that fan is always going. They say the white noise it produces is also good too. But anyway...my fan died last night. It went to the the big fan farm in the sky. It was a nice one too...with a remote so I didn't need to get out of bed to adjust the speed...yep I'm lazy. It was 8 years old I guess that's pretty good. It's a horrible time of the year to buy a fan...I won't find a sale!!!
At work yesterday they ordered Chinese food for lunch...I hate Chinese food. Yuck. I had left over Panera. I had 1/2 a plain turkey sandwich and a pickle. That's much healthier than what I saw people piling on their plates. It was fried or oily...I was actually happy about not liking the lunch....hahahaha!!!! And the candy and snacks seem to be running very low...I'm sure they will be ordering more soon. But it's nice not to have all of the temptation. Because of course what is left is the less popular stuff and there is no chocolate left any where...yeah!!!! No cookies or chips...woohoo!!! It's like working under normal conditions.
Yesterday It was funny ...one of guys was in line for food, he calls me over there and said what here is healthy. He tells the other guy...this girl eats so healthy...she always has grapes and nuts on her desk....LOL!!! I thought that was funny.
Well I have to get going...stay warm,,,see you all later.
Good Morning Sharon and Everyone,
Sharon, you must of needed the sleep. I think we all over tax ourselves this time of year. We all want that perfect "Hallmark" holiday, but it doesn't work that way. If you buy an artifical tree, I got mine at Garden Ridge on 59, just a mile or so pass the Fox Valley Mall. Yes, i know that isn't the current name. Anyway, it is a at the most 4 ft. around. This is our 3rd year for it, and I like it better each year. We have ours in a corner to.
We went to Bloomington after work yesterday. Morgans holiday concert was last night. We then went and had supper at Denny's.
Today, it is work, and out for dinner with friends.
My cousin had her 1st appointment with Dr. Guske on Monday. She is really excited about this journey she has started. I am excited for her.
My best friend from childhood had an emergency surgery on Monday. She is doing great, and will be home on Friday. The bad thing is I can't get to her, since she is in Bellville, by St. Louis. So, the phone is the next best thing.
Not sure what the weather will bring today. But, I have decided, if it starts to get bad, I will be leaving work early. Both the N/S roads and the E/W roads get really bad down here. They are both straight roads, and the snow piles up on them. Of course, today is my day to go to LaSalle.
Have a great, safe day,
Hugs,
Good morning friends,
I'm glad to see several posts this morning already. I worry about you all when it's late afternoon and no one has posted. Today is my group knitting at the Wollgathering and I'm trying to finish a few things I want to give at Christmas, but I'm also working on some warm stuff for me.Tis the season for warmth, isn't it? Later today is my haircut. I'm working toward a new style which means part of my hair needs to be longer, but the back will continue short and has to be cut so as not to be scraggly.
Kay has a party tonight but I decided not to go because the total focus is on food and I'd be tempted to eat a bunch of junk. I'm not as strong as Crystal in turning down everything bad. So I'm staying home and eating a normal dinner and watching Law and Order SVU! My favorite TV show!
We have all the decorating done and we do have an artificial tree. The real trees got too heavy for us a while ago, but we did by a candle that smells like a real tree. That's the best we can do--LOL
Have a good day and stay warm!

Crystal- I don't have good willpower...most of the time it's because I am a very picky eater. That is why I am not eating whatever they had out the other day. Or the reason why I eat my sandwiches plain. The reason why I don't have a heaping plate full of food. Because out of all the food on the table I might only like 1-2 things...hahaha!!!!
As for the candy around the office...that is willpower!!!!
Good afternoon Sharon and the rest of Illinois!
I am in pain again. Seems that the packing from Monday came out yesterday afternoon. Being in pain is getting old. Good news is that Liv has an appointment this afternoon, so he can re-pack it then. I am hoping he will give me more pain meds, since they are hardly helping at this point.
Besides that, I am working on products for the craft show on Saturday. THEN, I have been invited to a cookie baking day on Sunday with some friends. I am looking forward to that, if I can be relatively pain free.
I sent Todd out for a real tree on Sunday and the kids helped get it up last night. It leans considerably and has a huge empty spot. I am not going to complain since it is very unusual for Todd to have anything to do with Christmas and decorating. I think I will get an artificial tree for the future. The kids don't really care any more and I wind up doing 90% of the work. I don't need the additional stress. If I didn't have grandchildren, I might not do anything.
I HAVE lost about 5 pounds since the teeth came out. I would think it would be better, but oh well.
Gotta get to it. Everyone stay nice and warm!
