Sunday Roll Call
Hello Peeps,
I have been playing catch up with Christmas Shopping. I was out until 9p last night and there was nobody in the stores. It was nice. I was able to find some real deals at Hobby Lobby, Tuesday morning and Marshalls. Came home and fell asleep fast. I got up early and cleaned the church and now i am home to get a shower and go back to church. This afternoon I am putting a turkey breast in the oven and continue my holiday cleaning.
Lisa, I am not a techie and i always have to look up how to change the ticker tape. I know with the new updates I hear alot of grumbling. It may not be how you are doing it. It may be the site. Ugh.I use the help search and it helps me SOMETIMES.......
Randy, my tummy is not right when I ear sugar or fried stuff. I suffer badly.......unfortunately I only remember how bad it is after I have done it.
Crystal, I love getting cards in the mail....and one with money??? Yippy!!!!!!!
Connie, I just saw your note about Vicki, I have started praying. Let us know how she does.
Kim, I hope you are home and warm. Enjoy your time with the fam. God's protection on you as you travel. It cannot be easy, but you must be good at what you do, which is a blessing.
Where is Jason????????
Carla, enjoy those babies.
Dawn, I am praying for you as well, please get better. A dried socket is awful. Feel better dear one.
Nancy, I am hoping you are getting better. They just admitted one of our nurse for the same thing I think you and I have/had. I guess they realized this is a bad strain and in Joliet the ER's and Immediate care centers are sending them to be admitted for infusion antibiotics.
Christine, hope you are taking a moment to sit and enjoy the holiday season. I know you hardly ever stop moving.
To all my dear ones, enjoy this day the Lord has made.
Hugs,
Sharon
Hello everyone
I am relaxing right now. I did most of my stuff yesterday. What am I going to do today??? Maybe I will relax a bit....maybe read.
I just was reading an article about how it's not more money to eat healthy. And I was arguing this point a few months ago when I was figuring the price of sugary cereals and junk food....compared to my fruit and nuts and cottage cheese. My food is CHEAPER....by quite a bit. But we are conditioned or brainwashed into thinking fruits and veggies cost more than cookies, chips, and cereal. The only exception is meat...it cost more to buy healthier cuts of meat. Oh well you can't change people's minds.
I am done with my Christmas shopping...unless I get a good coupon. Then why not go and use it. I do have a $5 off coupon at Bed Bath & Beyond but don't really know what I want. Maybe I will go there and and just browse.
Well I am going to go for a short but cold walk to get the newspaper....brrrrr!!!! See ya later. Bye
Hi and good morning Sharon,
Here I am. I have been busy off & on again. I have three doctor appointments this month also slowly but surely I'll be getting ready for my somewhat much needed vacation to Arizona in a few weeks. Don't mind me if I'm not in this forum that much this month and the first part of next month too, I'll be on vacation around the first weekend in Januray (I hope it's still a go for me by the time it comes.). Plus December is a somewhat a bad month for me. I hope your Christmas shopping goes well for you (it sounds like it did for you). What a day you had yesterday & today so far.
Have a great day.
Jason.

Hello friends,
I have been dealing with the State of IL retirement system since the insurance for medicare is changing. They didn't send me info and now I got it online but it doesn't have the address to send it to! I want to be sure to send it correctly. Oh well, I can call again tomorrow!
Yesterday I made a hat for the guy we met at Social Friday night. He is dating our favorite waitress there, so we went to Social at 9PM when I finished the hat and gave it to her to give to him. It was really fun and I enjoyed knitting it. He was interested in our knitting and he said he had a hard time finding hats to fit. I just love doing stuff like this!
I haven't heard anymore about Vicki. I'll have to check with her daughter later. Keep praying.
I'm watching the Packers freeze to death in Green Bay.. I'd love to see a game but it would have to be early in the fall! LOL!
Stay warm!
Connie

Good afternoon Sharon and the rest of Illinois!
I finally got some sleep last night in 4 hour increments. I guess vicodin and Motrin did the trick. I know I am not supposed to take NSAIDS, but I took it with food and will take my chances at this point. This morning, I thought things were turning a corner, but I still seem to be on the 2 hour plan. Instead of 2 every 4 hours, I am taking 1 every 2 hours.
I am making either Pork al Pastor or Pork Carnitas for dinner. I may or may not be able to eat it, but the family loves it. I am actually thinking of combining the two for my own twist. We will see. Then, more meds and rest. I can't wait until I can call/see the dentist tomorrow.
Everyone stay warm and have a great day!
Hi Everyone,
My shopping is done, Complete, finished! I do not intend to go to any store for anything, other then food and drink. I may see about a new sweater or something, for me, but that is all.
Now, all I have to do is decide on my Xmas Eve buffet, wrap gifts, and make cookies
We had fun yesterday, with our youngest, Annette, and her husband Rick. We had a great breakfast, opened gifts, and went shopping. And, had to go to Auto Zone for a new battery for the Suburban. It was sitting for a week, while Hubert was on vacation, and we drove it when we got home on Friday, but, the battery was dead yesterday morning. So Hubert and Rick went to get one and put it in. Hubby had to go back to work this morning,
Annette paid for a tatoo for me. I had a rose put on my left lower leg, on the outside,. It is the third thing on my bucket list, that I got to do this year, The other 2 were belly dancing and pole dancing.
It sounds like everyone has their life under control right now. It feels good to know that this family is working out all the problems. At least for now.
We are getting flakes, but that is it.
Stay warm,
Hugs
