Friday Roll Call
Hello everyone
Oh I was so busy yesterday. From early in the morning and I didn't get home till late. I worked more overtime yesterday because of this new system. I still have no access to do my regular work. I don't know if I can explain it but here it goes. In the old system we are still in the month of November...so I can't enter any of the checks I am recieving for the month of December into the old system because it's still in November. The new system is in December but because the old system hasn't closed November yet it hasn't transfered/uploaded the data into the new system. Since the data hasn't transferred there isn't any invoices on the customer's accounts for me to pay. So in the mean time...day after day...my work piles up. But what I end up staying late for is everything that was done in a matter of minutes...like looking up if an invoice was paid or updating the Aging reports has to be all done manually. When I say manually I mean I go through each check we receive and check off on a spreadsheet it was paid. It is very time consuming!!!! UGH!!!
I was happy that work finally listened to my lunch suggestion to get Chipotle to cater lunch. It was super yummy. It was a big hit too. So maybe they will do it again.
Then after work I met a couple of friends and we went and played Bingo. I had fun...even though I didn't win. I opted out of all the junk food they serve there...nachos, hotdogs, buttered popcorn...and picked up a plain grilled chicken sandwich at Portillios on my way there. I also bought some Propel water instead of drinking beer. So I behaved myself...LOL!!!!
Today after work I have to pick up a few things at Target and Walgreens and then I will work out and come home and relax. Its been a long week....
Well have a great day all...see ya later. Bye
Hi Crystal and Friends,
I have been busy. I've been getting to work super early and staying late because of end of year stuff. I also started my Christmas shopping and finished about 1/2. Ive done all so far on the internet. My biggest problem has been trying to find that new Playstation 4.
Last night after work I went to see the grandbabies. They always make this Oma feel so good. My 3 year old grandson, Jude, told me last night that I am his best friend! My grand daughter who is 6 told me I need to stop by more often. So cute!!!!!!!!!! Right now my daughter and I have been getting along fine. This is the longest we have gone without a blip. I am so thankful to God for his amazing mercy.
I was complaining about my weight gain to anyone who listens and someone mentioned something that made some sense. When I was sick I was on prednisone. I am hoping it leaves as fast as it showed up. I think I am the only person in the world who gains when they are sick instead of loses like "normal people". . I am done talking about it.
I get off at noon today and I am going to try to get to Trader Joes and Whole Foods. Then, I am hoping to stick close to home all weekend cleaning for the upcoming holidays. I heard the temp is dropping fast.
Whats on everyone'*****h list this weekend?
Hugs,
Sharon
In Texas and Mexico we say Chip-O-Lay. In the video the founder says Cha-poat-lay as does m-w.com so I guess I will need to learn that if I am gonna have one in the next block.
I left the house at 7am Wednesday and did not return until 9pm. I had an all day Google in Media event at The James and then met up with Cheryl and a bunch of geek friends at The Bar Down Under for supper. Yesterday I ate too many cheap PB cream sandwich cookies. My body has responded by showing me all of the dumping symptoms instead of my normal super body heat and going to sleep. I hope it forgives me in time for the Aldercreature's Holiday Party tonight. It is just around the corner and he comped us so I would not want to disappoint him by not showing.
Hi folks,
My OH friend Vicki, whose husband Bob you prayed for, is now the one in need of prayers. She had an emergency surgery yesterday to remove her colon because of severe colitis. The doc was surprised she made it so far. She's a fighter and too young to die so please pray for her! Fortunately I knew her daughters name so I could find out what's going on!
We don't have snow here yet but it's really cold. Looks like a long underwear day for me! I've always been cold but now colder since the RNY. My daughter in Carbondale has a ton of snow and everything is closed there. I've got some errands to do but I think I'll wait till the end of next week!
Have a warm day inside!

Good Morning,
I hope everyone has their warmest clothing on this cold day.
We are heading to Elk Grove Village to see Dr. Guskie this morning. We are going to do a bit of shopping too. Then, I am taking Hubert to Rock Bottom for a late lunch, thank you Crystal for showing us that place.
Randy, I see you are as busy as ever.
Sharon, relish the time you get to spend with your daughter and grands. They grow up way to fast. Our Morgan is going to be 16 in May. Wasn't she just in diapers yesterday?
Dawn, it sounds like you gave Todd a great Birthday. I hope he appreciated your efforts.
Christine, we are going to stop at the train store in Itasca today. Hubert wants to check out some new train things.

There is a lot of road construction on Rohlwing Rd (old Rt 53 near Irving Park Rd) from Thorndale Ave down and past Lake St (Rt20) in Addison. It has been a mess for 3 years. You will just be 2 blocks from my work.

Work and then at 3+ish we will jump on the train to Chi Town.
Stay at the Mart Plaza for 2 nights in a corner room. A special request was put in for a room on the SW side of the building so we can watch the trains going in/out of Ogilvie and Union stations and it also right over the Chi Town river.
"Appi-teasers" at Catch 35 in the Jazz Lounge tonight. Probably will have a drink afterwards in the Cityscape lounge at the Mart which overlooks the SE of the building.
Sacred Music concert at Moody Memorial Church tomorrow afternoon, special invitation to a dinner with the President of Moody Bible Institute afterwards.
Home Sunday by train and hopefully we will not have to drag suitcases through any snow.
Somewhere during that time we will get to the Christkindle Market at Daley Plaza. That has been a tradition of ours for close to 10 years. Love my little ceramic mugs that you get with hot cocoa or spiced wine.
We do not get much sleep when we stay at the Mart because we have the curtains open all night and we both will wake up several times to look at the city.
