Fridays our office is closed and we work with a small skeleton crew. We all leave at noon. I was so excited to finally be feeling better, so I had a plan of leaving work and getting my hair and brows done, then going to Trader Joes to do some shopping and just have a little fun. Well, the owners decided to have a meeting with me at 3p after their surgeries. I know they will both be late because surgeries never end up working out time wise. So I see myself sitting alone all afternoon in the office on this gorgeous sunny day instead of having fun But, I am just happy I have a job.

I am looking forward to some warmer temps and perhaps a visit with the grandbabies.

Enjoy your day dear ones.

Hugs,

Sharon

Jason sorry about your woes with the hospital. It will all work out in the end.

I dont like Chipoltle at all. It is way to spicey for me. I used to go there a lot before Mcdonalds baught them and ruined the recipies!

I hope the weather stays decent up in Chicago! Im druving up there December 10 for a bit!

Thank you so much. I hope it works out in the end for me.

I do like spicey food to a point, but have spicey food once in a while. McDonalds owns Chipotle? I didn't know that. I never been to a Chipotle, I rather go to a Subway than a McDonalds.

Me too about Chicago weather. Cool, I hope you have a good time in Chicago.

Thank you for your input about Chipotle.

Jason.

You do have to have a pallet for spicy food,,,and I love spicy food.  Not to mention has been studied and proven to help speed up the metabolism...bonus!!!

But Mc Donald's has not owned Chipotle since 2006 when they completely divested in the company.

Hello everyone

I spent the whole evening last night baking cookies.  And I didn't eat one cookie last night.  I did indulge in a spoonful of peanut butter (I made peanut butter cookies).  I woke this morning and had only 2 cookies...yep 2 ( just to make sure they tasted ok...one chocolate chip cookie...one peanut butter cookie).  Believe it or not I wasn't much in the mood for them.  Shocker!!!  Oh and I am also weird because everyone seems to like their cookies fresh out of the oven.  I like mine cold...I always put mine in the fridge and get them cold and then eat them...I am in the minority, I know.

I brought in a batch of both cookies into work because it was one of my friend's birthday a couple days ago and I forgot...I felt terrible.  This was my peace offering.  I put the plate of cookies on her desk with a big bow and a note.  She loved it!!!  She took a few and then put them out for everyone to eat.  Everyone is raving about them and asking what my secret it....should I tell them I think my secret is I use REAL ingredients.  REAL butter...organic peanut butter...organic eggs...Quality flour and sugar....I think it makes a difference.  Sure it costs more than buying Walmart brand...but I bet my cookies taste better.  Not to mention if I'm going to splurge and eat a bunch of calories...damn it, it's going to be on some good stuff not crap...hahaha!!!

Today after work I am stopping off at Jewel and Target then Chipotle (of course).  I will fit in a workout.  I want to dye my hair....hopefully I will have the time and energy...I was up at 430 today baking.  That will be it...I will relax a bit....

Jason-  I wish more guys would get there brows done!!!

Sharon-  Are you hourly...then you get paid for sitting around waiting for them.

Well I better get back to work...see you all later.  Bye.

Cool, I bet they came out good, I thought I smelled cookies last night. Great to hear that yo didn't have one cooike. I bought a jar of peanut butter today at Target. I guess it's okay to have a cookie or two once in a ble moon. When I have a cookie or two it has to be on the soft side. Nothing can't beat a homemade cookie made in yor own oven made by yorself, you know what goes into them.

Cool.

How are Chipotle? Are they any good? Do they have any healthy items there? Have a great day today.

I wish that too about guys in getting their brows done.

Take care.

Jason-  I like Chipotle because it's not your normal fried greasy fast food joint.  The food is hormone free, antibiotic free...They have chicken and vegetarian options (if you want less calories).  It's your normal Mexican food...so you can make it as healthy or unhealthy as you want it.  They have the tortilla free option...where you have everything in a bowl...so less carbs.  You can have brown rice instead of white.  And Black beans instead of pinto beans.  You have your choice of salsa.  You can decide to add the cheese and the sour cream and the guacamole.  You can add chips to your order...which I never do.

Luckily for me I am a plain Jane and like things bare so I always get a burrito but only get steak and cheese (you get a spoonful of steak and I have to really watch them with that cheese)...I then tear away most of the tortilla.  Since I only get steak and cheese they charge me less.  I only pay $2.58!!!  So I pay next to nothing.

But I love it and it's something I do most Fridays.

That's good to know that Chipotle not your normal fried greasy fast food place.I didn't know that. The chicken and veggies sounds good. All what you have said about Chipotle sounds really really good. There is one about 4 blocks away from me. One of my aunts friends said that Chipotle is good. I got to try them out one of these days.

Everyone is different when it comes to dinning out. There is something about having a burrito that is good if you have a healthy one.

Thank you for taking time out in posting about Chipotle's for me with the info you posted, I appreciate it.

Good afternoon Sharon and the rest of Illinois!

I am checking in, then going to pick up our beef.  We get our beef and pork from local farmers and have them processed at a small family farm.  My children are very spoiled by this.  The taste is evident.  Years ago, we ran low and I tried to hide some supermarket hamburger in a casserole and they BOTH noticed immediately!  Needless to say, I try very hard not to run low.  As Crystal says, it not only tastes better but it is better for us.  Also cheaper in the long run.  I pay about $ 2.60 per pound.....that is for everything from hamburger to prime rib.  So....maybe steaks on the grill for dinner!

Once I get back, I need to clean, clean, clean.

Everyone have a great afternoon!

Tell someone that you love them!
