Wednesday Roll Call
Hi Peeps,
I got up early this morning and of course went straight to the coffee pot and, OMG.....no coffee. So I put my robe on, started my car to warm up, rolled the cans to the curb for garbage day and drove to Starbucks. Thank goodness they are open at 4:30am.
Kim, I am so happy for you and that tummy tuck. Who was your surgeon and did it hurt? Can we have details like rehab and time to heal etc?????
Lisa, wrapping presents???? You and Crystal are way ahead of me. I havent even bought my daughter’s birthday gift yet. Her birthday is on Thanksgiving. I am jealous.
Jason, Friday will be here and gone before you know it. What are you doing to fill your time? Hopefully you are having a bit of fun.
Crystal, I have not worked out since late September. I envy your drive and determination. I have decided to join Inwood in Joliet as soon as I start to feel good again. It’s 2 minutes from my office and I can go before or after and even at lunch. I am so looking forward to that being a part of my life again. I am determined to get in shape as soon as I can. Strength is my goal. Weight is not my issue anymore.
Nancy, I hope this cough doesn’t linger long. It is debilitating physically and mentally to cough all the time. The one thing that helped me was lots of water and staying away from the dairy. I also drank a lot of hot tea with fresh lemons and honey. Tell your honey to love on you. Feel better.
Connie, you and Kay have such a lovely life. You sound so good now that you are healed and better. I absolutely adore Lands End. 39% is an amazing sale for them.I like their trousers and no iron shirts.
Christine, I am going to try the tenderloin recipe. It sounds yummy.
Dawn, when I was off from work, volunteering became a big part of my life. It centered me and it also gave me a routine again, which I needed. You can only clean and cook so much before you start to go bonkers. Working out daily also gave me a routine. It was one of the best times of my life. Enjoy!
Randy, I miss you!
Hugs,
Sharon
Morning All,
I am heading to Walmart before work, so I can get home while there is still a bit of light left. Working in Ottawa today, so I don't start until 8:30.
Dawn, It is a big burlap bag, with a tomato cage in it covered with lights. We closed the bag with a rubber band, but if we were selling them, we would of used wire ties and glue. Then a decorated bow. Easy as pie.
Sharon, have you spoken any more with your son?
Got to run..........................................
Hugs,
Hello everyone
I had nice evening with Chris. We don't get a lot evenings just the two of us...maybe once a week. We could have gone out to eat but really with it cold out...I just want to stay in. It's cozier. Ever since I lost weight I'm not much for going out to eat any way. The meals are more calories...even the so called healthy meals are more calories than the ones I make at home. Lets just say I like to try to limit myself to one meal out a week. And Chris seems fine with this.
Although, last night I didn't cook a healthy meal. We had good old fashioned cheese burgers. And I make them big and juicy.
Today at work I have another training class. Ugh...I dressed warm. Theses classes are cold. I always come home from the class just wanting to snuggle up in my blanket.
Sharon- It's funny you mentioned that gym because I am seriously thinking about joining that place after the Holidays. I need some machines and a change of scenery. After you mentioned that place I have been thinking of going there. The other places are cheaper but you have to sign a contract and they aren't as nice. And I thought I will be done paying off my car next month (woohoo!!!). If I am going to splurge on something why not my health and fitness...and it is only $45 a month. So it's almost certain I will be going there too!!!! We can be gym buddies!!! We don't have to do the same workouts...but just be accountable to each other...hahaha!!!!
Well I have to go now....see you all later...bye.
Good morning!
You all are up early and busy! I got a kick out of the Starbucks story. I could have done that myself! There is a coffee that is roasted in Rockford called Jadabug. (Jadabugroasters.com) and that coffee is the best I've had. They have a coffee from Africa called Burundi which is full bodied but not bitter. Unbelievable! They also have a twelve pack sampler that we send to friends. The company is owned by two docs who used to be my students.
We had a great time in Madison which I posted last night on yesterday's roll call. Today we have more knitting with friends. That's what's going on.
Have a good day,
Connie
