My Surgery Date Changed Again.
I got to the hospital today (11/12/2013) 30 minutes to 45 minutes before my 11:30 a.m. CST check-in time and my surgery time is for 1:00 p.m.. You would not believe this...4 hours waiting to be taken into surgery and my surgeon come up to my holding area ad lets me know that he had 2 emergency surgeries that backed up other surgeries. So, my surgeon/doctor told me that I can have my surgery at midnight tonight (risk of getting infection) or have my surgery this coming Friday (11/15/2013)...so, I went for this Friday, he said something about 8:30 a.m. for this Friday, I'll find out about it this Thursday (11/14/2013) on when to came in for my surgery. I hope I have my surgery this Friday. I want to get this over and done with as soon as possible. This is the second time I've been bumped. I guess things happen for a reason. Oh well.
I forgot to say that by the time I was told about my surgery date changed/bumped while I was in the hospital today, I was already hooked up to an IV bag/solution.

Oh Jason, I am so sorry. It is one thing to have it changed before you go to the hospital but an entirely different situations when you are totally psyched up, have the iv going and then get booted. I am SO sorry. There are no words to express my sympathy and I can only begin to understand your frustration! I just cannot understand how they can do this to you. I do understand emergencies. I think you are wise to choose the Friday option. But that stinks that you have to wait another 3 days. Hang in there. It SILL happen.

Same here, but I kept my cool with my feelings. I'm a good natured person by heart, but once in a great blue I can lose it, I almost lost it yesterday, but I kept my cool, it is amazing that I'm a good natured person. I hope so too with my surgery and time sticks this time. Thank you.
