Oh Babies it's cold outside! We got about an inch of snow that did stick. Yuck. Will have to go out there and clean my car off.....isn't this a bit early for snow?  Ok, I know we are from the Midwest, but it seems a bit too early in my opinion. I must have been busy, but stupidly I thought we would have one more zing of Indian summer. Maybe we did and I just didnt see it. This job is awesome but it keeps me busy, I have an early meeting this morning.

Last night was the first night I did not cough all night in 4 weeks. I believe that is a good sign. Finally, a light at the end of the tunnel.

Our son has a broken jaw. He got jumped when he got off the train in Brooklyn. He was coming home from work. 4 guys beat him up pretty good. Thank God he is alive and well. His mouth is wired and he is getting better.

Well my dear ones I am off to shower and work.

Be careful and stay warm.

Hugs,

Sharon

Good Morning Sharon and Everyone.

We got a bit less then an inch of the white stuff. At least the roads are dry, so no problems driving to work this morning.

I pretty much did nothing yeterday excep****ch Christmas movies on tv. I did get my token gifts wrapped. I also took out my large santas and placed them around the house. Either tonight or Thursday, I will go downstairs and get some more out.

My daughter Annette is coming Saturday, they will help us "old folks" with the outside decorations.

Sharon, I am glad you got a decent nights sleep without coughing. I am sorry that you and G are not working it out yet. New jobs are hard, but one day everything will fall into place. I totally agree with you, this is to early for snow. Don't we normally get it after Turkey Day?

Christine's pork tenderlion sounds delish. I will be making one shortly.

Jason, we will be thinking of you over the next few days.

Did Randy desert us?

I hope Janet Hatch didn't have to much trouble getting home last night. She worked until 11.

Dawn, what exciting things did you do with Riley this weekend?

Connie, I hope when we retire we can stay as active as you and Kay.

Kim, are you staying home for a while now?

Nancy, whatever is bothering you, I hope you can get well quick. It is to early in the season to be down sick.

Hugs,

Lisa

Good morning Lisa,

Same here about the snow. I think the same goes for the roads too.

Same here with me, but I waited for that phone call from the hospital, I did get out of the house for a little bit. I did get my bag ready yesterday for the hospital, I still have to put a few more thing to put in my bag and some other stuff then I'll be ready to leave my apartment around 10:00 a.m. CST this morning to be at the hospital by 11:30 a.m. CST. Cool about the token. Good luck with the santas for tonight or tomorrow.

Have a good time with your daughter when she comes in, cool.

Thank you Lisa.

Have a great day.

Hello everyone

I am at work extra early...today is my Monday because of the holiday.

I am wearing one of my Goodwill sweaters today.  I found out when I was washing it is actually brand new.  I found the store tags that hadn't noticed before.  Score!!!

I switched up my workout yet again.  You got to do that.  Keep your body guessing.  Well I am a little sore today.  It focuses on lower body and core muscles and man is my lower body sore.  I am focusing more and more on strengthening exercise and less on cardio because the more I read the more I see the emphasizes should be on your muscles to lose weight.  Not that cardio isn't important.  I am just readjusting my priorities.  My exercise routine was 75% cardio...now it's about 40-50% cardio.

Sharon-  what a scary thing to happen to your son.  Thank god he is alright.

Well time to get back to work.  Have a nice day...stay warm.  Bye

Good Morning Everyone!

I am still home.  Spent the night coughing again.  This is getting old fast.  I am off work for the rest of the week.  Hopefully this will kick this to the curb.

Sharon,  I am so glad you are getting over your crud.  It is also great to hear that you love your new job!  That is really scary about your son!  I am so thankful that he was not hurt worse but that is a nightmare.

Lisa, it is great that Annette will come Annette will come help you!  Wish I had that.  We did have Gage rake leaves while he was here.

Jason, prayers are with you today. Next time we talk to you your surgery will be a thing of the past.

Crystal, I am just amazed at your commitment to exercise.  You are a shining example for all of us.

Everyone have a great day!

Good morning Sharon and the rest of Illinois!

Glad to hear you finally got a night off from coughing.  I hope it is the beginning of the end.  VERY scary for your son and sorry about G.  You are in my thoughts each day.

Lisa----what exactly is the Christmas thing made out of? I see lights and sheer fabric, but what holds it up?

Christine---that recipe sounds delicious.  I will be making it also.

Nancy---I hope your feel better soon.  I have talked to many people that have had cold like symptoms this season for 3-4 weeks and they say it is awful.  Hopefully, you will be over it soon.

Thinking of Jason as he is probably in surgery now, or very soon.

Kim----did you ever finish your bathroom?  Thanks for the support!

Riley and I made "Candy Cane Sugar Scrub" and two different types of lotion bars.  I have a friend that will be having a Craft Show/Open House on December 14.  We need to get some inventory to sell.

Riley was the ONLY person that was excited about the snow.  It was awesome to see her so excited and happy.  Me......not so much.  Good news is that is should melt by the weekend.

We are going to dinner at the airport tonight to celebrate the first year anniversary of the program.  I am going to see about volunteering there during the days.

That's about it for me......everyone stay warm and have an awesome day!

Tell someone that you love them!

Good afternoon!

We had a great time in Madison. We had lunch at Merchant downtown. Split a soup and sandwich--really yummy. Then we went to Lands End where everything was 39% off and bought a shirt and pants in a smaller size. We picked up my computer and went to Verona to knit where we met some ladies who were also going to the Knitters Guild meeting. We went to dinner with them at Culvers and had their navy bean soup which was one of the best I've tasted and ate hamburgers without the bun to get some protein. There were about 300 women at the Guild ( and 3 or 4 men). There was a presentation and there were stores there to shop. They have a large library for members to use and a new website which is marvelous. We were introduced as the Rockford girls! We heard that I-90 was icy so we made a reservation at a motel to stay the night during the break. Then there was a chance to see what others had knit.  I even won the door prize.

This morning we went shopping at another store that had yarn and then we came home before we spent any more money!

what fun!

Connie
