Nonday Roll Call
Good Morning,
Hug a Vet today, Let them know you appreicate them for what they did for us.
I put a new picture on FB, Monica and I created these yesterday. Our dinner yesterday was great. We always enjoy it when the kids are here.
I am off today, and I am going to start putting around my Santas, then next weekend, get the stuff put up out side, then, the tree up right before Thanksgiving, At least that is the plan.
Have a great wintery day.
Hugs,
Hello everyone
Yes I think I will start doing some decorating this weekend or next. We will see.
I had the weekend all to myself. So I got a lot of house work done and errands done. Today is usually my busy day but it's a bank holiday so no cash coming in till tomorrow. So I have a reprieve till tomorrow. Today I am making myself Italian Chicken sausage wraps. Basically instead of the heavy rolls they always use for these sandwiches I roll them in a low carb flour tortilla. But first I put a little sauce and cheese. These are quite filling and quite yummy. Without all that bread...I end up picking away most of it when I eat one of those rolls anyway. Because I want the protein not the carbs. You can use pits bread too...but I prefer tortillas.
Tomorrow Chris is coming over for dinner and I am making cheeseburgers and for him (not me) homemade Jalapeno poppers. Every once in awhile you need to have a fun meal. And I make yummy cheeseburgers. I won't have any sides...the burger will fill me up just fine.
Chris asked what I wanted for Christmas and the first thing that popped into my head was a Fitbit. If you remember I broke my Fitbit and haven't replaced it yet. He of course was...what is that??? I had to explain what it was. So hopefully I will get one...fingers crossed. When he asked what else I wanted...I couldn't think of anything else. Hahaha.
I talked to Amanda last night and she said she will be back state side by November 2014!!! Woohoo!!! SOmething to look forward too. BUT....she also said that she and Charles are thinking about settling down in Denver. What??? Denver??? Noooo!!!! I don't like that!!!! What happened to Chicago??? Booo!!!
Well I better get going...see you all later...bye
Hello Friends,
ATT has been having issues outside so we have not had internet for about a week.
I suppose I should just post from work, but I am so busy, I always forget.......good intentions.......
I got a new iPhone that I like a lot. I suppose I could post from the phone, but I got to tell you, the font is so small, I dont know what it would look like.
I am still sick. I went to a specialty lab on Friday and they did a bunch of tests on me, including TB and lung fungal tests. I feel so sick all the time. I spent the weekend resting. I did not even make it to church. This is week 4 of being sick. It is hanging on despite drugs....drugs.....and more drugs....
G and I are not working at our marriage right now. I think we both need a break. So for now, we just live in separate parts of the house and see each other when he comes to bed. We are friendly but not our usual lovey dovey selves.
I miss the grandbabies. I've been too sick to visit them. Maybe later this week.
I am going to have to catch up on everyone and read last week's posts. I miss hearing about everyone.
Hugs dear ones,
Sharon
Sharon- I am so sorry that you are having such a hard time right now...both physically and emotionally. Have you had allergy tests done. Sometimes people react to allergens by coughing a lot. And I know earlier this year when I was sick for a month with a sinus infection I would have never thought it was allergies...because I felt sick. But surprise it was allergies.
I am at a loss as far as what is going with your marriage. It really saddens me that G is doing this. But I think that you are doing the right thing. Hanging on and chasing after him when he isn't willing at this point to save the marriage will just drive him further away. I firmly believe the old adage...If you love something set it free . If it returns it is yours , if not it was never meant to be. Lets hope he returns....
Hi and good evening everyone,
I got my call from the hospital today (11-11-2013) at 3:23 p.m. central standard time for my surgery for my Chiari Malformation Type 1, the name of the procedure that I'll be having is called "Craniectomy for Chiari Malformation (Foramen Magnum Decompression)". I have to be at the hospital by 11:30 a.m. central standard time for my surgery and I'm guessing that my surgery is going to be around 12:30 p.m. or 1:00 p.m. central standard time. I'll be in the hospital for about 3 to 4 days. The recovery time is 2 weeks. I can't wait to get this over and done with, same thing with the recovery time let alone getting 2013 over and done with. I'm looking forward to 2014.
I'll try to post when I can and up to it and how I feel at the time.

Good Evening Everyone!
I am still coughing my head off. Spent most of last night coughing instead of sleeping. Sigh. Once again, I did not go into work. I am on medical leave. I dont know if I am going tomorrow or not. I am not being paid but at this point I do not care. I just am like Sharon -- I want to feel better!
Gizzy has been so cute. He has been babysitting me in bed. He has stayed at my side keeping me company. This is not his mode of operandus.
Lisa, I have my own built in vet. Rick served during Vietnam. The other interesting thing today was my sister started an email chain letter in our family with the members contributing in how they have served. I learned some really interesting things including that my Uncle went to an armatice day parade celebrating the end of WWI and remembers it vividly! He was age 6.
Crystal, it is exciting to think that Amanda will be home in a year! Just remember that no matter where they are in the US it is not as far as Peru and you can get there in a day or two driving or less if you fly.
Sharon, I am so sorry that you are still so sick. Let us know what your test results show. I think you are wise not to work on your marriage right now. When you dont feel well, that is not the time to focus on such a subject.
Jason, I was thinking about you earlier today. Just a few more hours to wait. I know this is when the nerves will really hit. But know that you are in capable hands. Prayers for a successful surgery and a speedy recovery. I truly hope all goes well. Looking forward to hearing about the proceedure "from the other side"
Everyone have a great Tuesday!
Cat Lady
Good evening Nancy,
Sorry to hear that you're not feeling well. I hope you feel better soon. How cute of Gizzy.
Thank you. You have? How nice of you. Yup, just a few more hours of waiting. You got that right when the nerves will really hit. I am. Thank you for the prayers. I hope it goes well too. So am I, I'll try to post on here when I can and up to it.
:-) ...have a great night.
