Good morning everyone and Illinois,

How's everyone this morning? I'm doing good.

Between today and over the weekend I'll be getting read for my Craniectomy for Chiari Malformation (Foramen Magnum Decompression) procedure for this coming Tuesday November 12th. I'm just 4 days away, each day that goes by is some what nerve wracking for me, it's like...lets get the show on the road already. I want to get this over and done with. I just can't ait to get this year over with. Due to my surgery and the recovery I have to change my vacation and flight date over the weekend (my vacation time is from Nov. 20th to Nov. 24th) and thinking of go on vacation in Januray of 2014, plus I can fly for a good month on a airplane.

I'll be busy off and on from today and by the time I go to the Hospital for my surgery. The part I know I'm going to hate is waiting for that phone call from the hospital this Monday Nov. 11th the day before surgery, the hospital willlet me know what time my surgery with be and what time to get to the hospital let alone what part of the hospital to come to.

Hello everyone

Yeah Friday!!!

What a busy week...I'm feeling tired too.  I was up late making another cheesecake.  A coworker's birthday and they wanted me to make her a double chocolate cheesecake.  I made it with oreo cookie crust and chocolate cheesecake and chocolate chunks.  I brought it in and the birthday girl loves it. 

Today I am running to Target because I didn't get around to doing it last night.  And of course Chipotle!!!  Yummy!!!  Then I am coming home and I am going to sit in my recliner with my Chipotle and do nothing for the rest of the night....ahhh!!!

Next weekend we are planning a trip to Mars Cheese Castle with the kids.  I was just wondering you guys that make regular trips up that way...is there anything else we can do while we are up there?  Family oriented fun type stuff.  Also any good restaurants.

Jason- All that waiting around would be driving me nuts too.

Same here, what a week. Sounds like fun in making a cheese cake, I bet it's good...by the way your cheese cake smell great, I can smell it all the way by me. The cheese cake sound like a good one. Happy Birthday to your coworker. That's great that your coworker love it.

I myself have to run up to Target today too, between today and Monday. Sorry to hear that you didn't get a chance to go to Target last night. I hope you get a chace to go today and get what you need.

Have fun with you kids to the Mars Cheese Castle, What is that place? Never heard of it.

I bet, it's driving me nuts in waiting for this upcoming Tuesday.

Yesterday we went to Madison to buy a new iMac. We also shopped and hung out, hit Williams Sonoma and a couple of other stores we don't have here. Nice day! We are going back on Monday to go to the Knitting Guild.
It's great to have the energy to shop and walk around! It's been years!

Hi all. Just a regular ol TGIF here in my world. I'm at the office. My mom is in town for the little guy's birthday (which is Monday) and we're hosting a nice tailgate party for him on Sunday while the Bears play. Kills 2 birds - celebrates a 1 year old and lets everyone watch the game, all with a nice time limit attached. Anyway, that's the major plan.

Looks like I'm on PTO all next week, which I'm excited about. Plan now is to take some time for myself, relax, hit the gym, go to a spa at least once, and see my shrink. Maybe I'll tackle the holiday shopping list. A very non eventful plan, but that's what I need: DOWN time.

Good Evening Everyone!

I meant to post earlier but the day got away from me.  I started out this morning going to the hospital to get tests done for a doctor appointment next week.  Then a trip to the bank and dentist to get some FMLA papers filled out.  Tis afternoon I helped Rick create a resume and apply for a job that is local.  He may become back up if I lose mine. 

My eye is finally almost back to normal.  When the dentist saw me Wednesday I found out that I had 2 teeth that were abcessed.  He was really concerned about how swollen I was and by then the swelling was down by 2/3rds  He had me take the rest of the week off.  Now I am sick from all that infection draining into my lungs.  The dentist said I shouldn't get sick since I was on antibiotics.  Today I told him that I do not follow the rules of normal people.  I do the opposite!  I am coughing my head off and am hoarse.  Nice.  

Gage is here for a few days.  He came Thursday and then goes to his Mom's on Sunday.  It is school break!  He loves college.  It is really good to see him!  Today he did the traditional laundry.    What college kid comes home without laundry?  

Jason, it is hard to believe that your surgery is Tuesday!  I am sure that waiting is nearly impossible.  I am sure you do want it over with!  That is the hardest part of surgery other than the recovery.  

Connie, I am so happy for you and Kay.  You have been together so many years.  You deserve to have the benefits of any married couple.  I am only disappointed that they are waiting until the middle of next year for this to go into effect.  I am not sure why they did not have the law start in January.  

Dawn, I am thinking about you.  I hope you and Todd get things worked out and that you get help with your issues. 

Sharon, I hope you survived your first week back in the world of work!  What a mess to land in but I am sure you are capable of getting it all sorted out. I also hope you are feeling better.

Lisa, hope your week went well.  

Crystal, I do not know what the cheese palace is either.  I hope you have fun though.  Where is it?  Also, that is great that you are spending Thanksgiving with Chris and the boys.   

Ellen, I get tired just reading your posts!  Have a great visit with your mom and have a great birthday party!

That's alright, it happens to me too. That's one thing I hate is waiting for test results, good luck with the test and the doctor appointment for next week. That reminds me that I got a call this past Monday from the preoperativer clinic and they wanted me to come in and do some blood work onme again because my surgery was movied from Oct 24th to Nov. 12th and wanted to update their blood work with me before I have my surgery, so I went in to do it and get it out of the way and have the rest of the week to do what I need to do before I go in to have my surgery. Good luck with the paper work with the bank and the dentist. Good luck overall.

That's great to hear about your eye. Sorry to hear about two of your theeth. Wow! I hope you feel better soon Nancy.

Ineed it's hard to believe that my surgery is this coming Tuesday. You got that right Nancy. I do want it over and done with already. Indeed.
