Thursday Roll Call
Hello everyone
Yes...Chris got my oven working. He's the best. I did groceries yesterday and Chris came with me. It's always interesting going grocery shopping with someone. I always, always go by myself. He thinks I'm a bit OCD...because I know the layout of the store so well that I arrange my grocery list in the order that it appears in the store. He laughed. He also loves the junk food...which is funny because he is skinny as a rail. I told him just because your skinny doesn't mean you can eat crap...your arteries can clog just as easily as a fat person's. He still bought a bag of 75% off Halloween candy. But at least he didn't get all the crap he was going to get. Then he asked...what is he going to do with all his junk food when we are living together...since I don't like junk food in the house. I said he can lock it up. BUT...all i could think about is the fact that he said "when we live together"....hahaha!!!
Talking about all my crockpot recipes...I ended making chicken strips with salsa. Then I made Quesadillas. Chris added japeneos, sour cream, guacamole. I just had mine plain....just salsa.
More Excel class today...more overtime. So I will be leaving soon. I have to get to work and to download the bank statements and update my spreadsheets to show the cash we received...and then send out the spreadsheets. Then run over to class. But I have to get those reports out before I leave because there are people that need my report to start their day. I complain....but the truth is I like the busyness...it makes my day fly by, I like it better when I'm under the gun...I guess I thrive under pressure. I'm a weirdo...I know
After work I am running over to Target and then to Domincks (won't be saying that for long). What are you up to today???
Well I better get going...see you later...bye
Good Morning,
Sorry I was MIA yesterday, I was busy at work at work in the morning, then swiched offices in the afternoon, and was busy there too.
Then, when I got home at 5, we left to meet friends for dinner, at a place called Turtles in Dwight. That is a good 30 minutes from us.
Today and tomorrow I am working in Ottawa, then coming home to tackle the house. It has been a busy week.
Crystal, I anm glad you got your stove fixed. I love when Hubert goes shopping with me, and I hate when he goes with me. He buys all this junk food, and then blames me for the high bill!
Connie, we are happy for you and Kay. I have a cousin in N.J. that has been with her partner since college. I always put thier names together, since they are both wonderful. Just like you and Kay.
Sharon, how is work going????
Nancy, where are you???
Dawn, what are you doing for fun this week???
Hugs,
Thanks for the running tips, Crystal. I need them. I know about the good shoes and the good bra - believe me on the bra! I'm sure you're right about running outdoors. My first check mark on IF I'd consider running the Turkey Trot was to see if I could actually do 3 miles. But it's not the only check. And honestly I don't think I can do an outdoor one. I have to figure out how to get comfortable with the idea of jogging in public, by myself, so I can train. Oy. It's just not an easy thing for me to take on! But I really appreciate all your advice, particularly about the asphalt. I hadn't really thought about that at all.
Today my mom arrives from Florida. I am delighted and the kids are jumping out of their respective skin. Looking forward to a nice birthday weekend for my little boy. Should be fun!
