Saturday Roll Call
Hello everyone
I had a nice time last night. It's our 6 month anniversary and Chris took me out and surprised me with flowers. It was very nice. we went to a Mexican restaurant that is right by my house that my friend is always telling me is good. I had the carne asada...just a little beans...no rice. It was deliciously yummy. My friend was right.
I have already went and done my groceries and worked out. Today I am going to make some homemade cleaners and run out to Walmart later. And that's it...I am relaxing. I worked 10 hours of overtime this week because of the auditors. Well I will be going into work tomorrow for more overtime because now I am behind in my everyday work!!! And Monday is my busy day and I won't have time. Like I said I can use the extra money...I had an expensive October.
So what are you all up to today???
Well it's time for me to eat lunch and take my antibiotic....have a great Saturday all...bye
I went to work yesterday and saw what a total mess things are at this place. Payroll is Monday and I have no clue if there is even enough money to do payroll. Ugh.
I left work and went straight to the ER because I could not breath. It seems I have developed bronchospams and have asthma now. I got some breathing treatments and a dose of steroids. I was not happy about that, but i am desperate for relief. I am now taking prednisone and have steroidal puffers to get thru this awful lung issue.
I'm off to let my dog out.
Hugs,
Sharon
The effort it takes to get me and 2 kids to the Meijer and back is just absurd. But I made it. I have given up trying to convince my two year old what to wear. Today she picked out strawberry leggings, a white shirt, a pink tutu and her light up sneakers. She also insisted on carrying her Princess' purse with her as well. I added a nice pink fuzzy coat on it for good measure. Honestly we were the talk of the Meijer. The boy on the other hand still bends to my fashion will (he's not quite 1) so he looked 'normal' but of course he was ticked off that he had to ride in the cart while his Sissy got to walk. Of course the boy doesn't walk so...doesn't mean he couldn't get good and ticked off about the whole thing. #waaaaaaaaaah
I recall now that the reason I make lists is so I remember to get what I need. Happily I remembered that I needed to make chili so I got all the beans and all the tomato products I needed. I also remembered that I'm making Mac n' Cheese for the boy's birthday tailgate a week from tomorrow... remembered the pasta; forgot the cheese. Forgot the flour, eggs, butter, and milk as well. Forgot the formula. Remembered the buns for the pulled pork or chicken, but forgot the pork and chicken. Yeah! I'm a rock star.
So I've managed to get both of them down for a nap at the same time, have the chili doing its thing in the crockpot, and now I'm setting out to clean the office. I'm stalling here because (1) I don't want to clean the office and (2) these children are going to wake up any second. I've prepared snacks, taken out the recycling, emptied and refilled the dishwasher, and all in all it's been quite the productive day so far. Later, when DH gets home I'll work out and finally shower. Really no point in trying to do that right now - there's certainly no way I have time for a jog in the basement before the rebels awake.
I'm having significant head hunger today. Like I am seriously NOT hungry and I know it, but I just feel like munching away on some potato chips or something. We don't have any in the house, thank heavens or I might lose the battle. Head hunger is so weird, isn't it? Anyway, that's the other reason I'm up here in the office. It's a mess certainly but there's also no food here. I brough****er to keep me company and plan to turn on some Pandora to occupy me.
Have a great rest of your Saturday all!

Ellen- My daughter had a quirky style when she was younger...it stuck with her all through her growing up years. She just marched to a different drummer when it came to style. But it wasn't weird...it was cute. Like she had a thing about wearing hats and wearing mismatched socks and very colorful shoes. Stuff like that. She is very artsy and creative. She plays several instruments and can draw. So maybe your daughter will be the same way...LOL.
I also gave in and just let her be her own person...and dress the way she wanted.
My daughter is now 26. She graduated U of I with a degree in Environmental Science a couple of years ago. She and her husband are now in Peru...she joined the Peace Corp. She is quite the little hippy...hahaha
