Thursdays Halloween Roll Call

Happy Halloween,

We still give out treats to all the little beggars. I enjoy seeing their costumes, and hearing them. Streator's hours are from 5 to 7, so it really doesn't bother us to open the door. Of course, we only get 20 or so. There isn't to many people on this street that does give out treats. We used to give out homemade popcorn balls, but anymore, you have to have everything wrapped and store bought.

I am off today, but will have to work tomorrow. Saturday, I am going to Bloomington to a craft sale at the high school.

Dawn, I am glad you were abl to talk to a friend. Maybe, you did have a breakthrough. I don't pretend to know what has happened in your life, but you are one sweet chick.

Nancy, you are so right. You can only do what you can do. Try not to stress over it.  They will make the decision for you. It could be an age thing.

Sharon, G is way out of line,  You are officially on your last day of being a non working wife.

Jason, Stay busy these days. That way you won't keep thinking about your surgery.

Kim, you are really traveling these days.

Connie, you do know how to enjoy your retirement.

Crystal, Hopefully the pain pills are working greatly for you.

Cleaning, running around and going to the car dealership for some more instructions on what we can do with the crossover in on my agenda for today.

Hugs,

Lisa

Good morning and Happy Halloween,

Cool, I hope some of the treats are healthy ones too beside the candy. So do I enjoy seeing their costumes and hearing them. I hope you have a safe and enjoyable day today.  Seems like that to me too these days about notto many people givingout treats. The homemade popcorn balls sounds good, but never had one, yup.

Have good time on your day off for today and itsound like the rest of the week for you isgoing to be busy.

I'm alwayy being busy in some way and it seems that I'm thinking about the surgery as each day goes byand get closer to the surgery date.

Happy Halloween everyone, Have a safe day today.

OH YEAH!!! I just realized it now that today marks 2 years ago today (October 31, 2011) that I had a two in one surgery of Panniculectomy and a Ventral Hernia done, 20 pounds of skinand fat removed, also two days later I was giving out too much in the JP Drains and needed 2 pints of blood. WHERE DID THE TIME GO?! Two years ago today...man of man! It seems to me that part(s) of my life has been blurred to me off & on since about 2008.

Jason,

Jason, you rock. You have gone from 500 + lbs, to a neat 160. Plus getting all the skin removed. You earn a huge pat on the back.

Hugs,

Hello everyone

Happy Halloween!!!

I am still pain free and only taking 2 pain pills a day.  So That's good

I am sad report that auditors are coming...ugh!!!  That means endless amounts of files to pull and copy and refile...yuck.  The only good thing is that I will be extra busy and I will get overtime.  But I hate auditors.

I have no special Halloween plans.  My kid is grown.  I live in an apartment so no trick or treaters.  I will come home and make dinner and do laundry...no big plans.

Although, this irritated me a *****ris's ex has to go pick up family from the airport today and there is no one to watch the kids.  Chris just started his job so he can't call in.  And his parents have plans.  So the kids will miss Halloween.  So I said that is silly I am free I can take the kids trick or treating and feed them dinner...no problem.  They know me...I only have been hanging out with them almost every weekend since May.  Nope she refused to let me help.  So rather her kids miss out than swallow her pride.  Again...my daughter would be going trick or treating if I was given such an offer.  I would forget any differences and make sure my daughter had fun.  But that's just me.  Too bad it would have been fun.  Even if it's raining.

Nancy-  I like your attitude.  I was told once to stress over things I had no control over.  It's a lot easier said than done...but good advice.

Sharon-  Good luck on your first day tomorrow!!!

Lisa-  I miss homemade treats for Halloween and Birthdays in the classroom.  You can't do that any more either

A couple of employees took the day off today and they are brining their kidos in...so I stopped at Walgreens and picked up some full size candy bars for each of them.

Well I better get going....back to work.  Have a good day...stay dry.  Bye

Crystal, She is so stupid. You would think that it would be great if someone else would treat your kids like they were theirs. Maybe you could pick up some small pumpkins and fill them with treats, so when you see them this weekend, you can give them to them. It may not be the best idea, but the boys will know it comes from the heart.

I am skipping Halloween this year. First time ever. We have trick or treating from 4-7. We usually get about 100-150 kids depending on the day. I think the rain may keep some away.  We live in a big subdivision and the door bell rarely stops ringing for the duration. My poor dog will be hoarse by 7p.  I am going to get in the jacuzzi at 4p and read a book. Then I am going to sneak upstairs and watch tv and go to bed early. I am still trying to shake this virus. I went to bed slathered in Vicks last night. It seemed to soothe the coughing.

I found out my husband is using sleeping pills. It is a new prescription for only 10 pills. I dont know why he is taking meds. He usually sleeps like a rock. I was tearing off the receipts from the CVS bags to turn in for the flexible spending account and was surprised to find it. Just another thing he doesnt talk to me about.

I did something real stupid. I slept on my arm funny and I think I pinched the nerve. The pain has lasted for weeks and it is so painful. Nothing I do helps it except these exercises I found on the internet.

Dawn, I am an incest survivor. My best friend helped me tremendously when I finally told her my story 30 years ago. Then after about 2 months, she gave me a list of therapists to talk to. It was hard on her to listen to what I needed to get out. I had individual therapy then went into group therapy with 12 other women who were sexually abused in different ways. In individual therapy I made baby steps, in group I made giant leaps. it is so much easier to grieve for someone else's pain than one's own even when the situation is similar.

Crystal, the boys' mom is being unreasonable. She obviously has issues. I HATE when people use their kids to punish adults. Ugh.

Lisa, I love fall craft shows. I havent gone this year, but when I do, I love it.

Jason, I cannot believe what you have accomplished. You are a tremendous role model for me.

Nancy, go with the flow...there is nothing that can be controlled in this awful situation. See where you land. Hopefully on unemployment fro a few icy snowy months. (that would be my dream)

Connie, enjoy your quiet evening with Kay without all those interruptions from the candy beggars.

Kim, Carla and Randy enjoy!

Hugs,

Sharon

Hello on Halloween!

I tried to post this am but it disappeared. oh well!

I spent some time at Woolgathering today knitting and watching the rain. It doesn't look very promising for trick or treaters. I seem to remember a lot of rainy holidays.

Kay had her annual physical today with everything good. Mine's in the summer.  I need to get my eyes checked but am basically current.

I feel like I post the same thing every day, but that's how quiet my life is. I never thought when I was younger that life could be this calm.

Dawn, I was prpbably a victim of incest too. My grandfather had lots of access to me as a child and he abused the rest of the girl grandchildren by giving them chocolate. I lived with them most of the time till I was four. I have all the symptoms of abuse even though I don't have clear memories. I spent a lot of time dealing with this in therapy and with journaling. It's possible to heal from all kinds of nasty childhoods. Hard, but doable. Call me if you want.
