Monday Roll Call
Good morning Illinoisans!
Yesterday was a day of doing nothing excep****ching the Packer game last night. Lovely day!
Today I need to go to the grocery store, but little else. I need to figure out what to replace the Bookworm with. There are a couple of other locally owned cafes which I might check out.
I hope things ae calmer in each of your lives this week. Have a great Monday!

Good morning all. I must tell you, I am not speaking to my not-quite-1-year-old son today. He had something going on last night that kept him awake and whimpering almost all night. He is still trying to kick it out; I am at work slaving away and trying to keep the drool off my keyboard.
The trek to the city was uneventful. I got a row all to myself on the express bus and managed to sleep most of the way downtown. Thank heavens for the incessant bing-bing-bing of the Stop Requested button as we arrive on Dearborn Street or I might still be riding that bus. :)
Planning on a wildly uninteresting workday, an equally uninteresting evening commute, and with any luck a quiet night at home where I can go to bed EARLY. We'll see if it happens. I've already declared this the "hey let's take a nice leisurely walk on the treadmill tonight" workout because I don't think I have the mental acuity or the drive to jog or do inclines today.
Small scale victory started the day. I'll take it. Have a great Monday!

Good afternoon Connie and the rest of Illinois!
I am getting a late start today after sleeping in. I was up on and off all night with hip pain.
I made home made stocks yesterday. Chicken and seafood. Last night was chicken and dumplings. Tonight, maybe a jambalaya or gumbo. I will be searching for recipes to use the seafood stock here in a minute. I have been saving shrimp[ heads, shells, lobster shells and the grouper head from when we were on the coast last Spring to make the seafood stock. Sounds like an adventure.
Todd and I had a great "date night" Saturday, so maybe things are getting better. I have appointments both tomorrow and Thursday. After that, I will decide if this counselor will do the job.
Glad to see that everyone seems to be doing better with all our individual struggles.
Off to find the recipes.........
Hello everyone
I had my typical busy Monday...but busier than usual because we switch over to the next period and I was locked out till 11am so I was scrambling to get my stuff done by the end of the day and knew that I wouldn't. So I figured I would stay late to finish...no such luck. We got an email from IT saying they need us off the computer by 4:30 for updates. So I will be in bright and early tomorrow....an hour or so early
Today I am making some bbq chicken and carrots. Tomorrow I am making a Italian whole roasted chicken, pasta, and rolls. I of course will not have the rolls and the pasta is gluten free. Because Chris has the day off and will be over for dinner.
Yes my life is getting back to normal...my car is back. Things seem to be going well...really well between Chris and I (should I knock on wood). Our 6 month anniversary is coming up very soon. He asked me today what my favorite color was. Later I asked why he was asking...and he said he just wanted to know. He said, that's the kind of thing he should know about me. Hmmm....kind of weird. I don't buy it....I think he's up to something. But I let him think I bought it....hahaha!!!
I was thinking of starting a small workout in the morning before my morning shower. Nothing too much...and I think I will only do it 3 times a week. Since I already workout after work and walk at lunch time. This is what I will be doing...I found it on Pinterest...I'm not looking for sexy legs. I like this workout because of the muscle strengthening. That is the key to losing weight.

Well time to eat dinner....see you all later. Bye
