Wednesday Roll Call
Hi Peeps,
I'm with Nancy, snow flakes and ice cold rain in October is a good reason to blow this popsicle stand. I have not even had a chance to clean up my garden or close up the deck. I guess I better get my butt in gear and get to work.
My new boss wants me to come into the office on Friday. I am so excited about going back to work. I cannot tell you. I am like a school girl deciding what to wear. Ha!
Things are back to normal at home. Last night a taco bell commercial came on TV and I said to G, "I guess that's your new favorite fast food, huh?" (Sorry if I am offending anyone, Silvia is hispanic.) He came over by me, took me in his arms and said sauerkraut is the only food he likes to eat. (I am German) Sorry again if this offends anyone. Not meant to) We just giggled and then held hands all evening just like we always do.
I am on my last day of antibiotics and i still have a disgusting productive cough. But atleast I can sleep at night again without hacking all night.
Connie, wondering about your itching. How is it?
Nancy, I am so glad you have been given a reprieve of sorts at work. You are too sweet to have to put up with all that nonsense.
Lisa, did you get caught in the "snow" yesterday. I agree we need to get together again.
Dawn, I am here. I adore you.
Crystal, when are you getting your car back? Mine hasn't even been looked at yet. BTW, you are gorgeous and Chris loves YOU.
Jason, I am glad you are done going to the doctor for awhile. Enjoy that time.
Kim, how are you????
Randy, I miss your foreign talk about spying for the CIA or whatever it is you are doing when you hack.
Ellen, I hope you become a regular here. We are awesome!!!!
Carla, you just missed the snow here. Enjoy that baby from afar.
Hugs all,
Sharon
Good Morning,
We had sloppy rain and a few flakes yesterday. Nothing else. The mess followed us tp Bloomington, but when we started home it was all over.
Morgan was really with it last night. She was smiling and happy all through the concert. Of course her male friend was watching her. He is a nice boy. Teens, you gota love them.
I am off to a new office today, to switch with my boss. She has a doctor appointment, and it is in LaSalle. So, she asked me to switch to save her time. The down side is we start 1/2 hour later in Ottawa.
Hugs,
Good morning Sharon,
You got that right about the snow and rain. Good luck in gettiing the garden put up and close up the deck. I know what that's like in getting my butt going to get something done.
That's great news. Good luck.
Cool. I haven't been to a Taco Bell in a long time, one of these days I'll go to one. Saurkraut is good, I like to have that once in a while (I love Bigos/Hunter Stew), I'm part Polish. Sounds like the two of you had a good evening.
I hope you feel better soon.
I'm glad too that I'm done with going to the doctors for now. Thank you, I'll try to enjoy that time.
:-) ...hugs,
Jason.

Hello everyone
One good thing about this cold weather it is better on my sinuses. Either that or these essential oils are really doing their job. Every day after work I start the pot of boiling water and get that going with eucalyptus and then I do tea tree in a tissue and breathe that in. It has been helping a lot....if I think it's not. When I'm not at home breathing in the eucalyptus I can tell the difference. I am buying some for Chris's house now...LOL.
Chris got his new schedule. It will take some getting used to. He won't get weekends off like he used to. And he doesn't even get two days off in a row. So this week he has Saturday off...but that's his son's birthday. And of course his ex is having a birthday party(I can't go..I wouldn't expect her to invite me). Then he has a day off next Tuesday and then next Friday...and he works 3pm-11pm. So we will really have to work to see each other. Actually scheduling time...how romantic. But you got to do what you got to do. Hopefully absence really does make the heart grow fonder....
Sharon- I have to admit I tried to find that lady on Facebook. I wanted to check her out...LOL.
I'm not sure how long my car will take. I am missing my car terribly.
Well I got to get going see you all later...bye
My very first roll call check in. Thank you all for the invitation to be part of this group!
I'm not 100% sure what to say except here I am, I'm working from home, ate breakfast and lunch with the kiddoes and the nanny, and thinking about taking a break to get my exercise in before the naps are over. Other than that I'm stressing about money and DH's overall health. Long stories on both. More than a first time poster should engage in LOL.
I'm sorry there are so many sinus issues going on for people. That sucks! I am feeling lucky mine are skipping this fall season. No clue why - perhaps it's the 25 mile move we made lol.
Anyway, I'll check in with you all tomorrow.
Ellen
Welcome Ellen
Always nice to see someone new. We talk about anything and everything. I think the only thing we don't talk about...just to keep the peace...is politics. Otherwise, nothing is too personal or "icky". We have all been through it. We talk about our surgeries, diets but also our families, work, daily troubles and triumphs, plans we have...like I said anything.
It will be nice getting to know you and hope to see you here daily.
Hello friends,
Typical Wednesday with breakfast with friends and then knitting. It's our last day knitting at the Bookworm since it closes on Friday. End of one thing, beginning of another. There is an afternoon group who knits there too but they are going to knit in a room at Hobby Lobby. So we won't be regularly running into them. I've been selling my extra scarves and some I never wear for $5. at the Bookworm and I've sold a lot. Of course that's a huge loss since the yarn sometimes costs $25. but if I'm not wearing them, then it's a gain. I'll take the rest to a shelter after the sale ends.
We are going to make meatballs and spaghetti with romesco sauce tonight. I'm not crazy about tomato sauce and this one is made with roasted red peppers, very mild, but flavorful.
Kay took the paper off my back today and the itching is somewhat better, thank goodness! It still itches but not as much. I see the doc again on Friday. I hope she will have a solution.
I hope things are going better for each of you. I think of you all the time.
Connie

I am not done with what is still coming up for the remainder of the year. Training, training, training. The job is multifaceted and a person does not learn it in just a week because not all tasks are done every day - sometimes, occasionally, only once a month or a year. I have been told that there is interest from several experienced records people so hopefully it will just be that the person needs to learn our protocol and department policies.
I read the roll calls daily - several times a day but hardly even have the energy to post nor time to. I appreciate the "shout outs" to draw me in but like I said no energy or time. I have followed each of your daily lives.
To our "newbie" poster - I will give you info shortly about my doc office in Downers, Life Weigh Bariatrics.
Sigh - off to fix din, din and then do the day all over again except at 3:15 a doc appointment on Thursday for me.Told ya -never ending appointments . . .
