Friday roll cal

Good morning,

I am waiting to see if the city shows up to fix my sidewalk which they messed up doing the street. They are supposed to show up this morning, which I learned from my new neighbor. She dropped by last night to tell us what the city told her. As we got to talking, it turns out that she worked for me 27 years ago when I first was in town! What a small world. Of course Kay who has always lived here never has those kind of things happen but it happens to me all the time. She calls me 3 degrees of separation instead of 6! it amuses me to no end how I make connections.

I went to a psychiatry workshop yesterday and had a reunion with all my former colleagues. That was fun. We all sat at the same table and caught up during the breaks and lunch. My best friend at work walked right by me without recognizing me. I loved that! I also wore a pair of pants that are the smallest I own. That was fun too.

Connie, I love it when that happens. It is a great feeling.

I am already running late this morning I wanted to be out and about before 8, and now it is almost 9:30, and I am waiting on a load of wash to finish.

I can blame my best friend again. She called at 7:30 and we talked, talked and talked some more. It is really a good thing that we live 200 miles apart, I am sure nothing would get done if we lived closer together.

No plans for this weekend, just eating my yogurt before I head out.

Good morning Connie and the rest of Illinois!

I am heading to the doc here in a bit.  ANOTHER UTI.  I have had one per month since July and 4-6 per year before that.  I just hate how they come on so hard and fast for me.  Very uncomfortable.

Besides that, just getting ready for Olivia's last Homecoming.  She has been involved in activities all week and has the game tonight.  The dance is tomorrow and we are going for a "girl's day" in the morning for hair, makeup and nails for them and cut and color for me.  Sharon, I agree, it can be a boost to our self esteem to get pretty.

Nancy-----I am sending good thoughts for a stress free time.

Jason---I agree with Lisa, at least they told you ahead of time.  Now, you can plan.

Connie---that is funny.  My mother in law is the same way.  Everywhere she goes, she sees someone she knows.

Crystal---I hope your sinuses clear up and glad to hear you are invited to Chris' family get together.  BUT of COURSE you are!  Who could not like you?

So do I agree with Lisa. Now< I can plan. I guess it's a good thing that the surgery was moved, I say that because it feels like I'm coming down with a cold or something for the last few days to a week or so now.

Connie, how awesome you are getting a new sidewalk to match your new street. I love surprises like that.

Dawn, I dont like that you are having so many UTI's. Me and Crystal also have been getting them. Something is not kosher. Start drinking teas with nettle in them.

Today, I bit the bullet because I was so sick with a fever and was up all night coughing up these disgusting yellow plugs of grossness. I went to the doctor. Ugh. I HATE going to the dark side. But even I know when I am in need of something. Anyway. he told me I have a UTI and bronchitis. I told him I am drinking my teas and to my delight he was very homeopathic friendly. He then told me that he wanted a chest xray since my breaths were sounding like rattling. XRAY???????????????? I dont like all the radiation. He also wanted one because when he tapped my back he noticed i reacted to the tap with some sensitivity. Imagine my surprise when he told me the xray showed I had significant osteoarthritis in my shoulders and spine. He said I had a back like an 80 y/o. Does anyone else have osteoarthritis??????? He told me not to do anymore heavy weight lifting because  I could break my back!!! He said to weight train with light weights instead. He also said it is a disease that comes from inflammation. He also said the UTIs can come from inflammation. I have to figure out why I am making all this inflammation. So that is my story. He gave me an antibiotic. I am weighing my options. But I think I am going to go for it. I feel like a mack truck ha**** me.

Enough about me.......how is the rest of IL today?

Lisa, I love long talks with Karren my bestie. We can talk for hours and it seems like a blink of the eye.

My bed is calling out my name. G is going to the Sox game tonight with his mom. I love it when I dont have to cook. YES!
