Sunday Roll Call
Hello My Dear Ones,
I have been so busy and cant seem to get anything done....how is that? I have been cleaning houses and the church and it is such hard work. Now I need to find the energy to clean my own house :)
My new employers had called me and asked if they could take me out for dinner at 5p on Friday night to discuss the job and so forth. They said it would only take an hour or so after we ate. One of the partners got stuck in surgery so I wound up having dinner with only one. He had been very quiet during the interview and seemed distant and stand-offish. At first when I learned I would only be meeting with him, I assumed it would be a quiet evening. But we wound up connecting so well I did not get home until 10 pm! It is going to be a challenging job which I love. I've never managed a a surgical practice and I love learning.
Yesterday we spent the day putting out the Halloween decorations. I only have a lighted pumpkin and a blow up black cat. We also cleaned the gutters and G cut down a tree in the backyard with his men buds. He looked so cute out there acting like he enjoys yardwork . He HATES it. But I told him how big and strong he is and how great everything looked and he was happy.
I got some free passes to different gyms that have aquatic programs. I am so excited to be finding a new gym. It has been 6 weeks and I am dying to get back. Crystal, I heard the Inwood pool is under construction.....too bad.
Crystal, I would not give G the book because he would not read it. He only reads technical junk and I know giving him the book is a waste of time. I dont know if Chris is a reader or if Chris would be interested in this sort of thing. Only you know that. I wish G would read it. ALL MEN should read it.
Lisa chili sounds so good. Enjoy your trip to Bloomington. I bet the colors will be pretty.
Dawn, there are lots of things now for ED. I am praying things work out quickly.
Connie, I am thinking Door County has to be simply gorgeous in the autumn. I have only been there in April and early September. Enjoy!
Crystal, I love the rice pastas. Have you tried the organic quinoa pastas? I haven't yet. But I bought a box.
Nancy, I am sorry you are having such a blue time. It isnt easy to deal with job stress. Job issues are very stressful. I am praying for you. Your psych sounds like a real a-hole. Sorry for the language, but any therapist who would take 2 calls in front of a patient is an a-hole. I just cant think of any other word except that one. I would give him a call and tell him how you feel. He needs to know.
Jason, hoping the pre-op was a breeze and you are on your way to surgery soon. God's blessings on this surgery my Friend.
Kim, hope you are doing well. I know you are one busy gal.
Randy, I MISS YOU. I know it may seem like I dont understand your IT language. I really dont. But i really enjoyed seeing you everyday and hearing about your meats and your days in the city going here, there and everywhere. We are here for you whenever you decide to return.
I am off to get ready for church and then later my class.
Bye dear ones.
Good morning,
Same here with me and finally have some down time, it's about time. Since this past Monday until yesterday it's been one of my busiest weeks to date and it might be that way again this week for me. I bet you're sore now from all that cleaning and hard work.
I wish you good luck for Friday. Sorry to hear about one of the partners about surgery. Sounds like the evening went okay. Some people feels the same way you do about their job.
Sounds like fun with the Halloween decorations. Yesterday was my birthday which I enjoyed. It went well, but quiet at the same time. Cleaning out the gutters is always a job. It's a love/hate thing with yard work. Good saying. :-)
Way to go about the free passes to the gyms.
The pre-op was a breeze. 11 more days to go for my surgery. Thank you so very much my friend. I'm sorry I did post this past week I just been so busy and when I did have time to post on this forum I wasn't up to it. Each day that it get closer to my surgey date the more I'm getting nervous.
Have a great day. Take care.

Happy Birthday a day late! . I hope it was a good one! I am thinking of you as you count down the days. It is understandable to be nervous. It is not every day that they operate on the brain. But you have chosen a surgeon who specializes in this field and I am sure you are in very capable hands. You have to put your trust in him and try not to worry. We are praying for you and sending you good mojo! Hang in there. Soon you will be wondering what the fuss was all about!

Good evening Nancy,
Thank you. It's a good one, but a nice quiet birthday, I just don't make it a big deal, to me my birthdays is just another day and another number. Yip, I'm counting down the days, 11 mpre days until surery. Yip I'm nervous. May be not everyday. I was told that my surgery the doctor will beworking on the surface area once the doctor cuts me open and remove a small part of my skull and may be remove a bone or two back there to help me get better also the doctor will put a mesh lining back there, I hope you're right that I'm in capable hands (with Allstate "You're in good hands with Allstate." ha! ha! ha!). I'll try not to worry, I'm kind of one of those people that tends to worry. Thank you, that's what I need, thank you again. I'll try my best to hang in there. May be about "what the fuss was all about".
Have a great evening.

Hello everyone
Yesterday was a success...except Noah was so disappointed there were penguins. He loves penguins. He has downs syndrome...and he has a love for these little guys. I want to take them to Brookfield now to make sure he gets to see the penguins!!! Other than that the only time it rained was when were were eating. The burger place was wonderful...I loved my turkey burger ( Rock Bottom still had the best turkey burger I have had so far). The kids loved their milk shakes. We did so much walking and walking. Even with all my working out....I was tired.
Today I woke up early and got a beef stew going and in the crock pot. I like to set it on low for 12 hours...in my opinion the lower setting for long hours makes for more tender meat. I also sear the stew meat in olive oil first. Then I am going to stop at Meijer for a good loaf of bakery bread. Then I am hanging out with Chris in the garage...we are installing a car stereo (he got a new stereo with a usb port for his birthday). I never did that before. We will be soddering wires and everything...woohoo!!!
Then later his mom and dad are coming over for some stew. So my day is pretty set.
Nancy- I am sorry about your job. This situation reminds me of a coworker I had who kept getting pressure to improve. Even though to me she was perfect. But her data entry needed to be higher...the job I had they counter your key strokes. Anyway...just like you they just look at the numbers and not at the reasons why the numbers are low and the fact in every other way way she was a great employee...she was here on time, had a great attitude...so on. But after months and months of this on going pressure they finally fired her. I was so upset. She said...she wasn't, she was relieved it finally happened. The constant threat looming over her was causing so much stress. That she was glad it finally just happened. And I say this because maybe this will be the same situation for you. You don't deserve this and it is causing you way too much stress and pain. Good luck to you.
Sharon- I am so excited for you and your new job. Good luck to you.
Have a good day all...bye
Crystal,
It sounds like you had a great day! I did not realize that one of Chris's kids had down syndrome. They are such wonderful kids. My great niece has downs. I love her so much and she has truly been a very special gift to our family! She is such a beautiful child. She is 12 years old and an amazing little girl.
Thanks for the kind words about the job. At times I think I will be relieved if they fire me because the stress wont be there. The thing that scares me is trying to find another job at age 62 when I cannot spend time on my feet, use a cane and have my age against me. I am extremely overqualified for a lot of positions. It will be lots of barriers to overcome. We shall see.
It is one day at a time. My company is filled with a**holes in their management style and are not worthy of good workers but so be it.
Time will tell.
