Saturday Roll Call

Good Morning,

We got home last night about 10, from our fast trip to
St. Louis. We got everything done that we wanted to get done, or needed to get done.

A trip tp Soulard Market was very fruitful. I got potatoes, cabbage, zucchinni, carrots, spices, and can't tell you everything. Like I said, it was a goood haul.

Today I am cooking, cabbage rolls, cabbage soup, and a root veggie dish I want to try. Maybe some other stuff. I want to try to not have to cook during the week.

Hello everyone

I have been relaxing today.  But need to get off my butt now. 

Yesterday I was in the city all day.  We were at navy Pier and the lake front and we ate at Ginos East.  Chris had to go to Northwestern Hospital to get his physical and get his ID badge and his parking thing for his car.  We walked around the city and into different shops.  Then we drove and picked up his boys.

That brings up the next thing.  We didn't let this ruin our day or upset us.  But we came to pick up the boys and his ex was rude and stood outside about 10 feet from the car and never approached to introduce herself me.  Which I thought was strange.  Because when I was in her shoes I was always pleasant and introduced myself.  No she stood there and stared daggers at me with her arms crossed in front of her.  Then later Chris showed me her texts.  She text him...brought your latest one how classy.  Now mind you they have been slit up for 7 years and divorced for 5 and in that time I am his second girlfriend so it's not like he has a string of girls.  And I admit I am a little upset that things can't be more friendly between us.  I mean I didn;t want to be her best friend.  But I was looking to at least be able to talk about the boys.  I just don't understand why she wouldn't want be cordial for the kids sake.  It's very selfish of her.  It's like she is purposely doing this to see if this will break us up.  But after what happened last week it has only brought us closer.  So it's not working.

Sharon...the book came today.  I will have to start reading it.

Hello on this rainy Saturday!

I've been knitting and I took a long nap afterwards. That is why I didn't get online till late afternoon. Not much news from here. I hope to get drain out on Monday. This one has been really annoying.

I'm enjoying the colors outisde my window. Hope you take time to notice them when you are driving (speeding) to work!
