Morning Peeps,

I am up early because I am missing my hubby and I want to have the house perfect for him when he gets home. I had a haircut and color and a pedicure to look as good as I can for my man.

I am on my second cup of coffee (why does it never taste as good as the first one?) I have church this morning and I have my class tonight. I still havent read the chapter so I have to fit that in between times.

Yesterday was a gorgeous day. I love going to that soccer field, sitting in the autumn sun and just chillin'. It is a treat. The boy I took is 9 and he is going through a rough patch. His parents are separated and his mom has been making some bad decisions that are effecting her kids. He just sang like  a canary about his woes yesterday. I just listened and we prayed together. He seemed better. Then he scored a goal for his team and he was happy on the ride home.

Connie/Randy: are the bears playing today?

Please enjoy the day. It is going to be pretty again, I think.

Hugs,

Sharon

Good Morning on this first full Sunday of Fall.

I really didn't get the stuff that I wanted to do yesterday done. I am blaming that on my best friend Linda, who lives in Bellville, in Southern Illinois, She called me at 8 or so, and we visited for 2 hours. Hubert wanted to know what we could talk about for that long, my answer, I don't know.

We did have a good time at our daughters last evening. They had smoked a turkey and a pork tenderlion yesterday. They also had their neigbors over. I did drink a bit of wine, less then 1 oz. It was good, but really wasn't that  fond of it.

Everyone have a great day,

Hugs,

So, this morning, I have done and put away the laundry, and  straightened one of the closet selves, 3 more to go.I am heading out to Krogers, and maybe Walmart, then home to do some more stuff. Then I will relax the rest of the afternoon and evening.

Lisa- men never understand how we can talk so much.  It was actually funny....yesterday all us girls were talking about our "woman" problems...in light of the problems I am having.  And then I said "do you think men sit around talk about their penis problems???  This made us laugh so hard we were crying!!!!  But you know I Iove the way us women can talk about anything with each other.  It's a wonderful gift.

Ack!!! Sharon, I am not a Bears fan! I'm a Packers fan and they don't play today. Too bad, it's beautiful football weather in the Midwest today!

Hello everyone

I did well yesterday keeping busy and even had fun at the comedy play.  I laughed...I had a couple chocolate raspberry martinis....I had a good time.  I was able to kind of forget about things a little.  My friends told me to dress up and we are going to go out and have fun.  So I dressed up and tried to feel good about myself.

I also got my car stuff done that I wanted to do.  I don't know how well I did...as I don't have a buffer.  You know how your headlights get that fogginess.  There is this stuff you can buy that can take that fogginess away.  So I had to buff it by hand and my arms were getting so tired by the second headlight.  So I have to look at them today and see how they look.

Today...I don't know what I am going to do to stay busy.  I am going to workout of course but then I'm not sure.  I think I am going to finally get rid of my fat clothes that I have so desprately held on to all this time.  Maybe I will go through my fall/Halloween decorations.  I was also thinking about copying my favorite recipes over to index cards (it makes me nervous they are all on my computer...what happens if it crashes!!!  OMG!!!)  I don't know.  We will see what the day holds.

Sharon-  I already bought the book.  In fact I was so intrigued with the man's version...For Men only.  I bought that too.  But I didn't buy it on Amazon.  I have a used book site I go to that I can find books for really cheap.  I bought both books for $3.45.  If you ever want to check it out it's abebooks.com.  I have ordered books from them many, many times for the past 4 years and never had any issues.  I don't need my books to look brand new.  Also, I may take you on your offer to go out sometime.  Thanks for being a good friend.

Well time for me to stop being a lazy lump and start my day...see you all later.  Have a good day...bye.

Crystal, if you print your recipes on 9.5x11paper and save in a binder or file, then if your computer crashes you can scan them into the new computer. Connie

Hi everyone!

We get home yesterday from the hospital about 4 then CVS took another hour. No brain cells left then.

Today I feel a little sleepy, OK a lot sleepy, I'm still have some moderate pain from the abscess and am finding it hard to change positions. Up to down, down to up-- all iffy. The new schedule of what pills when and flushing the drain etc has me reeling a bit but I know that newness leaves and I'll be thinking "what did I think was such a big deal."

That's all the energy I have now, friends. Take care,

Connie

Good Afternoon Everyone

It is such a beautiful day today!  Yesterday I ran errands and took a nap.  I have now caught up on all of my bookwork.  It is a good feeling.  Today I slept in and am kind of  taking it easy.  I still have to do grocery shopping but that is all.  Tomorrow it is back to the grind of work.

Buffy is in for a rude awakening tomorrow.  She goes in for her neutering tomorrow.  I sure dont look forward to explaining to 7 cats why no one can eat tomorrow morning.  Buffy cant eat so no one gets fed until she is packed up and ready to go.  That will be interesting.  Buffy has to spend the night so I will miss my baby!

Sharon, I know you are looking forward to G coming home.  He has been gone a long time.  It is nice of you to help your friend and to mother that little boy.  He needs someone with a level head right now.

Lisa, I love long conversations with friends.  Time passes and you dont realize it.  It is so good to have such wonderful friends, they are such treasures.

Crystal, I am glad you are doing things.  We used that defogger stuff on theheadlights and could not believe the difference!  It takes a lot of elbow grease.

Connie, I am so glad you are back home.  I imagine this infection will take a lot out of you.  But you are in a much better position to bounce back this time.  Just remember to give yourself a chance.

Everyone have a beautiful day and a great week!

Good afternoon,

A little football, a little staining and cleaning and a lot of chilling! That's my day so far! Last Thursday I went to the doctor and he put me on some medicine for my anxiety/OCD and depression. I'm looking forward to see what these meds do for me. I'm working very hard to keep my moods stable and trying to work with what my triggers are.
What a beautiful day. Maddie is over at the neighbors house swimming. Crazy! Me, I'm loving that I did not leave the house today

Good afternoon Sharon and the rest of Illinois!

I didn't realize I had been MIA for so long!  I missed a lot of stuff!

We had 2 weddings yesterday, which took up the whole day and night.  Both ceremonies were at 2, but we decided to go to the ceremony of one of our "kids" that was close to home and then the reception of one of Todd's softball buddy's daughter.  Talk about two different worlds!  Both were beautiful but very, very different.  I am of the mind that it is not necessary to spend tens of thousands of dollars on a wedding as everyone is just as much married as someone who spends that kind of money.  It was a full day.

Friday, I ran to Rockford for wedding gifts and other errands and surprised my hubby with a Beef-a-Roo Shake.  Friday night we had a bonfire.

Today, I have mostly worked on a spreadsheet for the Boy Scouts and listened to Todd yell at the Bears on TV.  Now, we are getting ready to go into Rockford for a "Yale in Rockford" meeting for Liv.

Connie------even though you root for the wrong team, I root for you!  Glad that you caught the problem in time.

Randy-----I agree.....sometimes, sobriety sucks.  It is a hard road and I struggle daily.

Nancy----sorry to hear the kitties are sick.

Lisa-----dinner with Annette sounds wonderful.  I wish we had a smoker.

Sharon----I am sure you and G will have a lovely reunion.

Watson----I agree, go to the March of Dime site, and Google.  The RAD Run we did benifitted the Ronald McDonald House of Madison, my personal favorite charity.

Crystal-----Hang in there.  You are going to be fine.

Kim---you are really working very hard.  Good luck with all that.  Pictures , please.

Sorry if I missed anyone.......

Everyone have a lovely evening.

Tell someone that you love them!
