Thursday Roll Call
Good Morning,
Be careful today, storms and heat, before the cool front comes through. They are saying near 90 for us.We had a storm yesterday afternoon in LaSalle, but no rain here at home. In fact, Hubert was watering when I got home.
I did stop at the mall last night on my way home. I needed a new pair of shoes for work. The ones I always wear are coming apart. Of course I have been wearing them for about 3 years.
Today, I am home, and hair coloring and cleaning are on the agenda. Hubert's 50th class reunion is this weekend.
Have a great day,
Hugs,
So we are all getting lazy about posting. I posted yesterday:
A stroll, a meeting, a six month surgery follow up then a stop at Honey1 are the plans for today.
Add a Dominick's on Grand, an Iwan Ries and an Andersonville Farmers Market for corn out of Harvard, Il. Riding the red and several unfamiliar buses in the rain after missing the Berwyn stop. Damen and Western buses look worth exploring more though but Honey1 brisket was not worth the trip. I had left over curry for breakfast with smoked brisket still in the fridge if that tells you something. They have a good sauce though which makes my guess that they live high on the hog.
Today mostly just rest though I will likely get out at noon.
Hiya Y'all,
Randy I'm not lazy (not today, anyways) ....just peeved at the system. Two days in a row the system kicked me off after I wrote a long hello........
I am seriously hooked on shopping at GW. I keep stopping in and finding new kewl stuff. I bought an Italian wool hunter green sweater yesterday for 2.99. Pathetic that this is what is becoming of me..........HAHAHAHAHAHAHHA, but I LOVE IT.
I cannot believe it has been a year since I signed up for the health club and actually went regularly. This is the first time in my life, I have done that. A great accomplishment for me.
Been very busy with chores, volunteer work, house groups and seeing the babies. I get to see them tonight!!!!!!!!
Lisa, my favorite shoes are from the Walking Store. They always have something wonderful for me.
Have a great day my pretties.
Hugs,
Sharon
Good evening!
I haven't been lazy, I've been busy!
Bob update: he is doing better and will be moved to a rehab unit today or tomorrow to learn how to walk with his lower leg amputated. He will also continue to have to have dialysis and to change the way he eats. He's not out of the woods but is better. Thank you for all the prayers. His wife, my H friend Vicki, is truly grateful.
Road update: they poured the concrete today and it looks fabulous. The foreman knocked at my door again this morning to tell me that he told the city we needed a fast dry concrete so we wouldn't have to park our cars outside for a couple of weeks! So we should be able to drive on it Saturday. Then he says "we are going to pull out your whole driveway and replace it with concrete so it matches the street". OMG! our driveway is two cars wide and one car deep, not big, but made of old asphalt. What a gift! I have been shocked all day! I feel like I won the lottery! The foreman also told me that he would give me his cell phone number in case we had any complaints with any part of the project. Unreal!
That's my shocking day!

How are things going? I've just been working a lot. This weekend is pretty busy, but I plan to start a DIY project in our bathroom. Just got off the phone with my mom and she told me that she had a meeting with the attornys today about my dads case. Lets just say that I'm sick about it! Total BS! I say don't settle for less and go all the way. I will never stay at a Hampton Inn and they can go to hell as far as I'm concerned!!!
I did make a doctor appointment today with my primary care doctor so I can get back on my happy pills. I go next Thursday.
Hope everyone has a good Friday!
Kim
