Wednesday Roll Call
Hello everyone
Thank you for your kind words. My friends at work bascially said the same thing you guys said...abnormal paps are fairly normal. My doctor yesterday scheduled a scope for the 19th (by then everything should cleared up). She wants to get a good look at everything and depending on the results there I may need a biopsy. I also got new medicine. She gave me this medicine that I take 4 pills all at once. I was a bit skeptical at first. But it is better than taking pills for days on end. She said what I need is one big dose of meds to kill the infection. You know I feel better. The symptoms have subsided a lot. Yes she now thinks I didn't have an allergic reaction to the Ring. She said the infection was making the ring unbearable to use. I asked could I have gotten such an infection...I'm clean, and don't do anything that would cause such infection. She said...who knows why these things happen but it has nothing to do with being clean sometimes it just happens.
Today I will be running around doing groceries and doing my errands after work. That's about it for me.
I have to say I was a poster child for willpower at work yesterday. Because the corporate big-wigs are here they ordered a huge spread for lunch complete with no-no's like manicotti, cheesy potatoes, garlic bread, cheesecake, cupcakes....need I say more!!!! I had a piece of roasted chicken and some grapes. Oh....I soooo wanted the cheesecake...but I had none. But I sat and watched (my desk is literally 3 feet from this buffet) as people walked away with 2-3 plates full of food!!! Yeah me with my will power of steel!!!
Amanda's host family lost a family member this past week. But she said they seem handle death a bit easier than we do. Their funerals are as follows....a church service...a precessional down the street on foot where they carry the person to the cemetery...they then have a party at the grave site and eat and drink and be merry. I say this is my kind of memorial. When in the world did funeral services get so darn boring in our counrty. I told Amanda I want a celebration...fun and festivties. I specifically said one of those big jumpy castles and a funnel cakes but whatever is fun...I'm not picky...hahaha!!!
Nancy- I am so sorry that work is doing this to you. I am not sure what you are supposed to do, especially when the mentor is saying she doesn't know either...a lot of help she is. You are a good person and you deserve so much more. I have to believe that some how it will work out in the end or this will lead to something better in the end.
Sharon- I'm not sure what you should do about your fly situation. How odd that is. I haven't gone to Jewel on a regular basis in a long time. I have rediscovered Dominicks. I am trying to wean myself off Walmart. I need to stop shopping there so much.
Connie- Lots of good vibes and prayers to your friend.
Well I need to get ready for work...another day of getting dressed up. Also I fid it funny that it was close 100 degrees outside but I have to put on a jacket and huddle by a heater under my desk because they have the AC set so cold at work.
Have a nice day everyone...stay cool...BYE
Good morning!
My friend Bob is doing better after dialysis. He is back to his normal personality and is recognizing family. His wife is finally getting some sleep. He still has an aneurysm behind his knee but he has to be more stable to do more surgery.. All these complications from diabetes. What a nasty disease! Thanks for all the prayers!
Today is breakfast with friends and then knitting. That will do me in, but it's a regular tired, not the exhaustion I was feeling two weeks ago. This is five weeks out of surgery and most days are pretty OK. I still have some swelling and some hard spots but they seem to be getting smaller. Thanks for all the concern and support.
I have a friend, Mary, who is talking to Northwestern about bariatric surgery. I'm going to try to get her to hang out here with us.
Have a good day!
Connie

Hi Peeps,
Well after spending an hour killing about 40 flies we are back to normal. I had to clean like crazy last night to get rid of the fly residues on doors and windows....eeeek. I used my trusty homemade spray made with essential oils and had the place in order again. Today, thank goodness...no reappearance of flies. The next time I make sauerkraut it will be ice cold outside and the fly population will not be an issue.
I still have not heard anything about that job I interviewed for......keeping my fingers and toes crossed.
Crystal, I'm glad you are feeling better about the pap. I think it's pretty common.
Connie, Hooray for Bob!
The rest of my Peeps.....whatcha doin'?
Hugs,
Sharon
