Tuesday Roll Call

Hello everyone

I am up bright and early.  It looks like we are going to be getting really hot today, but I don't feel much of it.  I spend of my day inside and huddled at my desk with the heater on.  It's so freakin' cold in my office at work.

Well today I will be calling my doctor again.  Yep...that's right.  Just like everything else things never seem to go away without a fight.  All seemed to going well but Sunday night things started to get irritated again.  I thought I would give the medicine another day and see how it goes.  Well I'm not waiting.  It's like I'm back to square one again.  Ugh!!!  Things are a mess down south...so to speak.  Again I am so glad Chris is in healthcare because I think some/most guys would be grossed out or at least uncomfortable with women problems.  But he worked in the ER for 15 years he has seen it all.  There is nothing I can say or do that would gross him out or shock him.....hahahah!!!  So here we go again, is this another thing that will take 3-4 trips to the doctor before I'm better???

Today and tomorrow I have to dress up for work because some big-wigs from corporate are coming.  So of course the thing I feel like doing is dressing up right now....grrrrr!!!!

Yesterday I made these yummy turkey meatballs and they came out really good (it was a turkey burger recipe I converted to balls and added italian seasoning).  I have a enough leftover for dinner tonight.  So that will be nice no cooking except for the pasta.  I always just cook as much as I plan to eat...that way I never over eat....because there is no more to eat...unless I make more!!!

So my day is really in the air since I have to see if and when I can get in to see the doctor again.  It kills me to because....there goes another $35.  I think if the first office visit doesn't work you should get the subsequent visits for free.

Well I better get going and get dressed.  See you laters gators.  Bye

Good  Morning,

I went to bed early last night, at least for me, and wakeup  15 minutes late.

Last night, I used the gazell and had supper, then decided to change the bed. I must be getting more energy.

Crystal, I really am sorry that you need to see the Dr. again, That gets so frustrating. I have a $30 copay for every time I go also.

Kim, nice that you are home for a bit.

Connie, you must be feeling better, if you were up and at them so early yesterday.

Dawn and Sharon, what are your plans for today?

Nancy, your office is air conditioned, isn't it?

Randy, be careful in your trips today.

I am going to work, then to a wake tonight. Son in laws grandmother passed away. Like I told Hubert, we are going for Scott and Monica.

Please be careful today. This heat CAN kill you. Stay Hydrated and out of the sun.

Hugs,

Lisa

Good morning!

Yes, I feel like I am making progress. The trick was to lower my BP medicine by half back to the dose mt cardiologist gave me. In the hospital they upped it because my BP was high. Here even with the regular dose it's been running 110/60. Right now I'm only 8 lbs away from the weight when I was put on BP meds, so I'm watching the numbers closely. Anyway I have much more energy now than last week.

Today I am going to knit with my spinning friends and then I'll probably stay home in the A//C. Thanks goodness it's going to get cooler. I like my winter clothes so much better. I love the sweaters and vests I've made.

My friend Bob is holding on with the dialysis but is not out of the woods. I appreciate the prayers!

Have a safe day!

Connie

Hi Peeps,

What does an Oma do on the hottest day of the week? She bakes all day!!!!!!! I made this date several weeks ago with my grand babies  thinking it would be cooler and guess-timated that wrongly. I cant move it so my daughter is pumping up the air and going for it. LOL

I went to the Jewel yesterday because it is the only place I can find neckbones. I am going to throw them in a crockpot with Sauerkraut. I have had such a taste for that. But anyway, I roll into their semi empty parking lot and walk in and was surprised at the lower prices. They have come down. I think many must have left them (like I did) and they lowered their prices. I have never drove into their lot at 5p and experienced that before. I stopped going about a year ago when I lost my job.

Crystal, I hope you do not have a resistance to antibiotics. Have you tried levaquin? You may need Dr. Harry. I know what you mean about a partner that is understanding. G has done things for me that NOBODY has ever done.

Lisa, I love falling asleep early. I especially love it when I am stressed. It's a coping mechanism.

Connie, thank goodness you got the meds corrected. BP meds are tricky and it can take a few to get it right. I am still praying for Bob.

Yes, Lisa is right, all of my peeps, please stay hydrated and inside today.

Be safe,

Sharon

Good morning Crystal and the rest of Illinois!

I am just doing my "computer work" this morning and then not sure about the rest of the day. I need to get a couple of birthday cards mailed and my insurance payment. Then, I need to come up with a dinner plan as there was nothing left over last night.  I made a double batch of General Tsao's chicken and they ate it ALL!

I have some hostas to plant, but that can wait until it is cooler.

Crystal, I hope your health issues clear up soon.  It is very frustrating.  Getting your protein up may help.  Try to keep everything at mid-range or higher to feel your best and be "good".  Docs read the test as "good" even if you are only one point above the low-range.

Lisa and Nancy----I hope work is going well.

Sharon--That is funny that your grand babies call you "Oma".  Riley calls me,"Uma" and Todd, "Umpa" (which of course turns into song......).  I know how it is not to be able to change plans with them.  Have fun!

Randy---I do not understand your computer language, but have fun and stay safe.

Connie---so glad to hear you are starting to turn the corner.  It can be a frustrating wait.  I will let you know next time I am heading into Rockford and we can meet up at the Bookworm!

Everyone stay cool and hydrated!

Tell someone that you love them!

Hello Everyone

Crystal, I am so sorry you are having more issues.  I do hope things clear up soon.

Connie, it is great to hear that you are starting to get your energy back.  That is exciting news!

Lisa, you sound busy.  Hopefully you are staying cool.  ARe the people showing up this week?

Sharon, I hope you had a good time with your grandkids today.  Such fun times!

Dawn, your chicken must have been really good for everyone to eat a double batch in one meal!  Share the recipe!

I am not sure where to begin.  I am so down right now.  I had a meeting at work yesterday and I am now on a final written warning.  I still have not gotten my average handling time down to 5 minutes.  I keep getting customers that keep me on the phone a half hour or more.  They tell me that is no excuse.  But I cannot hang up on them, I have to provide them with the help that they need but I have to have an average handling time of under 5 minutes.  A mentor sat with me today and after a 35 minute call I turned to her and asked how I could possibly shorten that call and she told me that there was no way.  So. even if there is no way to shorten my calls, I will get fired for doing my job.    This is such a fun position to be in.  It is a no win situation.  Either I dont provide customer service and keep my job and have the customer complaining, or provide the service and lose my job.  Go figure.

I have no idea what I am going to do.  To find a job at 62 is almost impossible.  I feel like I am between a rock and a hard place.

Everyone take care.

Sorry Nancy that you are having to deal with this. It doesn't make sense. I'll be thinking of you.
