Saturday roll call

Good morning!

I managed to get through the rest of Friday without incident and I rested after my busy Thursday. Taking good care of myself!

Today we have knitting and it will be good to see my friends. House is picked up, laundry done, dishwasher ready to run. Check! Time to enjoy!

It sounds like you are getting back to your old self............awesome!

We have been experiencing weird weather for the past 12 hours. Lots of electrical storms and bizarre but beautiful skylines with half dark and half light. Right now it is thundering again. I'm just happy we did not lose power like so many. We are about to leave to get G's oil changed and go get stuff to make a fruity sangria. We are going to an end of summer party tonite and everyone has to bring a drink of some kind. I will be the designated driver so I will stick to lemon water. BORING!

Im getting a cut and color at noon and then out to lunch with a good friend.

Hello everyone

I know we needed that rain yesterday but that weather is just awful on my sinuses.  My ears were popping it was so bad.  I dealt with it but I had trouble sleeping.  I used my time wisely and got stuff done around the house. 

Today I already got most of my cleaning done...vacuuming, dusting, bathroom.  I went to Walmart in the wee hours of the morning...so that is done.  Today I am on my own.  Chris is spending the day with his kids...kind of like a father/son day.  So I am going to do laundry(including bedding), make my detergents, dye my hair, bake some cookies, of course workout.  At the end of the day I may rent a movie...I have been wanting to see The Hobbit and The Great Gatsby...I just have to decide which one...or maybe both depending on the time and mood.

Connie-  I am so glad your fall didn't seriously hurt you.

Good afternoon!

Today the family is going to a football game that Maddie is cheering at. The game starts at 3:30. The nice thing is my mom and my sister are coming! We did some cleaning this morning, but my main focus this weekend is just to relax and not over do it so I'm ready for my work trip on Monday. I did put a pork shoulder in the crock pot so we can have pulled BBQ pork sandwiches tonight for dinner. Then my husband promised Maddie he would take her to see the One Direction movie tonight. What was he thinking?????? We may let her and a friend go see it and we would see another movie. We have never done that before. It's not that I don't trust her and she is definitely old enough, but Rockford on a Saturday night at the movies is a little questionable. My god, a drunk old guy hit on her last week when we were at the pharmacy. I was pissed, but was a good lesson for Maddie!!!! I tell ya, the world these days!
