Monday Roll Call
That stupid boot does not help at all. I decided to leave it here while I went across the street to the parklet last night and it just sat there and let me. Come to think of it Cheryl did the same thing. No she griped at me when she saw me heading off without it. So I asked if she would put my socks and shoes on for me and she said I could go ahead on out. I don't like that boot but I think I do not like foot pain worse.
I have some new things to learn now. Tarbell, virtualenv and virtualenvwrapper. If tech were easy everyone would do it so I guess I shoulf not complain. Virtualenv was already on my list and a very nice project in which some of the hackers will actually get paid that already know these things came along. That is part of the reason I hang out with them is that I can learn ALL of the pieces it takes to deploy a new program.
Meeting at noon. How about y'all?
Hi All,
Randy, who is going to win out? the boot or the pain?
I had a somewhat lazy day yesterday. I cleaned up the kitchen, picked up the bedroom, went to the store, and spent all afternoon in the pool. I am hoping to do that all week, since I return to work on Friday.
I hope everyone had a great day yesterday. BTW, it was the last weekend of August. We are inching closer and closer to fall.
Hugs.
Hi folks!
well yesterday I wanted us to pick up the clutter. About 10 some friends called and asked if the could stop by, and the house got picked up in five minutes! LOL! The visit was nice. Later I finished some knitting and started a new project. Kay made a quiche which we'll have for dinner for a couple of night. Then it will be Labor Day weekend and maybe we'll grill something. I'd like to try peaches and also romaine.
Have a great day!
Connie

Monday....Monday.......I cannot believe it is the last Monday of August. Time is flying and I see some leaves already red. Where did July and August go?
I have my usual Monday, cleaned the church....gym......therapy appointment........
I am on a new diet....yep I know.........what else is new? So tonight I am going to grill a whole chicken and bake some asparagus. I found super skinny asparagus as Costco and decided I can eat asparagus for a week. HAHAHAHHAHAHAHA
G is on his way to Park Ridge for his interview.
Randy, keep the boot on. In time you will start feeling better.
Kay, it's amazing how fast a house can get cleaned when company calls.
Lisa, you made me giggle when you asked Randy if the boot or the pain is going to win out......I love your sense of humor.
Nancy, I agree the weekends are flying by. The older I get the faster they fly. Ugh!
Crystal, I am praying for you. I can feel your sadness and just know God has your back.
Dawn, hope the beginning of the school year hasnt got you running around like a crazy lady. Enjoy this time.
Kim, hope all is well my dear!
Blessings my dear ones,
Sharon
Good Monday Morning Everyone!
It will be hot this week so try to stay cool and drink lots of water. If all else fails, head to Lisa's pool to cool off. She is having a pool party all week
Randy, I hate the boot but it wins every time. The foot pain is too much to bear. have learned to pad the inside of the boot with foam or other soft material and find a shoe about the height of the boot to reliever back pain.
Connie, it sounds like things are perking up for you. A 5 minute clean up? You must be feeling better. We can do anything to socialize.
Lisa, it is hard to think that fall is coming and it is back to work for you. This was a short summer.
Crystal, and for you as you deal with your problem. We are here for you when you are ready.
Dawn, we are here for you as well.
Sharon, what is your week like.
Kim, I hope the drains are out and you are back to work.
Everyone have a great day!
Cat Lady
Good afternoon Randy and the rest of Illinois!
Seems I have been MIA.
Live started school last Wednesday and Riley today.
I had Riley From Sunday until Thursday morning when we decided to meet Amber and head to the city for some "free" fun. We met our friend Weli for lunch, then went to the Butterfly Haven (free all day on Thursdays), then to the Children's museum at Navy Pier (free from 5-8 on Thursdays). Cost $30.00 to park at the Pier, but admission was free. Riley loved it all! It was her second visit to the city, but first to these attractions. We had an awesome day and I will soon post pics on Facebook of our summer.
Friday just normal errands. Saturday, went with the hubby to a Brewfest in Potosi, WI. They had LOTS of cheeses and I found the maker of the goat cheese with cranberry/cinnamon or blueberry/vanilla that is sold at ALDI's and Trader Joe's! It was the best cheese of the show! We stopped at Pancho & Lefty's for dinner on the way home and were in bed by 10 after being out in the heat.
Yesterday, he took me to lunch then we came home and chilled. I began to get caught up with "Under the Dome" that I love, but mostly have been missing because it is on too late.
Today, I am making a seafood feast. I have a couple of pieces of Grouper, several Stone Crab claws, some cod marinating in miso, and shrimp. I will make an alfredo noodle for the family and green beans to go along side. I just hope there will be left overs......the way the rest of them eat.
Crystal......we are here for you whenever you are ready. Sending namaste your way.
Randy.....glad to hear that Cheryl is good and you might have to learn to live with the boot to heal.
Connie.....I know recovering from surgery is not fun. We are here for you to vent on your journey.
Kim.....did the drain come out?
Nancy---bad kitties! But you love them.
Lisa....enjoy these last days. I am about ready to head for your pool.
Sharon....hoping something perfect comes along for G.
Everyone have a lovely day and stay hydrated!
