Thursday Roll Call

Hello everyone

I am not going to work today, because it turns out I am sick.  I went to the doctor and I have a sinus infection and an ear infection.  So I was given antibiotics and I'm already on a bunch of decongestants so no more were prescribed.  It's a good thing I don't have a problem with large pills because these antibiotics are pretty big.  But I am lucky my band pretty much allows me to eat everything.  I am very stuffy and my ears hurt a lot. 

So my plans for today...lay around and do nothing.  I am going to be very lazy today.

I plan to sit around and do something but mainly just goof off without a course for Django I can understand I am floundering.

The Python I have learned will allow me to hack on some projects but I really ned to understand Django, version control and deployment.  The tutorials on those subject are not very mature yet.

I know I was missing in action most of this week, but I am back, so things should be back to normal.

My first question is , why did Dawn go to Kentucky?

Crystal, Please remind everyone of the time and place for Sunday. Did you ever put it on the event section of FB? We have a lot of old members that may like to get together. I am so sorry that you have to miss work today. It is probably the best thing for you.

My plans today are to stay home today, clean house and do laundry. Then this evening I am taking Morgan to to see Aladden at our local playhouse.

Good Morning Illinois!

I am about to leave to go to the gym but I wanted to stop and say hi to everyone before i took off.

My ears are stopped up and I think it's the allergies. Last night my husband came in the bedroom and asked me why the tv was so loud. I didnt hear him and thats when i realized I cant hear anything. i hope the decongestants work or else it may turn into something. Ugh.

Crystal I hope you feel better. The problem with antibiotics, you have to feel real bad for a day or two before you start to feel better. But it's worth it once you are starting to feel like your old self. Just stay in bed and chill. The best thing for ear pain is mullein (a flowering plant) in an olive oil solution. You can get it at any health food store. They have it at the health food store in the Twin Oak shopping center on Essington and Jefferson in Joliet. I always keep a bottle by my bedside because I get them a lot from swimming. It stops the pain fast.

Gotta high tail it outta here.

I am so sorry you are sick Crystal.  I do hope you will feel better soon.  It is no fun being sick. 

Sharon, I am sorry your ears are stuffed up.  Wish I had that excuse.  Rick is always asking me if I have my hearing aids in?    Of course he is usually 2 rooms away and wonders why I cant hear him. 

Lisa, welcome back.  I hope you had a great trip.  I hope you an Morgan enjoy the play tonight. 

Randy, I admire anyone who can understand the inner lingo of the computer system.  You amaze me.  It is much too deep for me.   I just want to turn it on and have it work.   

The cats are bad kitties today.  They are in the dog house.  I did not see them around this morning and did not think too much of it.  After awhile I went to look for them and there was a great big tear in their catio and all were free.  We got 4 corralled back in the house before I  left for work  but 3 were still awol.  Darned brats.  They were having a good time roaming around free.  Now there will have to be a loss of privilidges to the catio.

As far as house cleaning. I've never had mine professionally done, but tons of my friends do and I have two friends that clean houses. Absolutely don't do anything for under $70. 2-3 bedrooms are normally around $90-100 and 4 bedrooms are between $100-$145. It all depends on square footage and what the conditions are. Are you supplying cleaning supplies or are they? You can do 2-3 houses a day and make good money. Tons of people advertise on FB and get good business! Good luck!!

Hi guys,

I've been super busy the last few days. Maddie started junior high yesterday. And yes, I cried half of the day. I missed her so much! I've been trying to take it easy and lay low because my drain is not draining any less. And the fluid that is coming out of me into the JP drain smells to high heaven. I called the doctor yesterday to tell them my concern because I've had the drain in more than 2 weeks now. They put me on some antibiotics.
Crystal, are you on Bactrim? Those pills are huge!
I've saying prayers for Dawn.
Randy, I don't think your one of "those" hackers, but I wish they would come up with a different name or term, because it just sounds so bad.
Lisa, have fun tonight. Yes, Maddie went back this week. She got up this morning and made her own breakfast and made her own lunch. She texts me everyday at lunch to check in and tell me that she loves me. Awwwww
Well, I'm kicking back in the recliner tonight. Stomach is hurting a little bit, so Ryan took Maddie to cheer practice for me. I popped a Vicitin and things are good!
