Wednesday Roll Call

Hello everyone

I am not sure if I'm getting sick or if my allergies have been in overdrive the last 2 days.  But my nose is getting raw..I'm starting to look like Rudolf.  There are people here at work getting sick and I'm worried I will be the next casualty.  I feel very clogged up and very tired.   Ugh... 

On the subject of stuffiness I bought one of these salt lamps.  They were at Home Goods for $10.  My friend said she has a friend that swears by them.  These salt lamps are supposed to help with your sinuses.  Well right now they are so bad nothing is helping.  Maybe when I get back to normal I will be able to tell the difference.     

So seeing that I haven't been feeling the best I have been taking things a little easier than usual.  I am still running around just not as much.  I have to go to Walmart after work.  Today I am making dinner because Chris is coming over...I just haven't figured out what yet.  Hmmm...something fast and easy that's for sure.  So what will you be doing today???

Thanks for all the prayers and support while I was going thru surgery. one night there was a heart scare which brought the cardiologists in and gave me a huge scare. It turned out to be nothing. That same night I "peed like a race horse" every 45 minutes so sleep was not to be, but that's past too. Dr. Garren thought I did so well that he sent me home  a day early. I have reduced the pain meds quite a bit and have more tiredness than pain. I was worried when they took the epidural out that the pain would be horrible but it's never been over a two. So glad to be home in my own bed that the rest is nothing. Also I got an horrible allergic reaction to something which gave me red bumps all over. They finally called in the dermatology department and one dose of their meds and I felt better already!

I think I am going to stay home and just hang until my ankle heals.  I stepped wrong on Saturday and knew it was going to cost me.  I hate to retract the rsvp for tonight and tomorrow but think it is best since I was using crutches to get around the house this morning.

Randy-  You got the right idea...better to stay off that foot.  It's better than to aggravate it and make things worse. Soft tissue injuries can be just as bad as breaking a bone and shouldn't be taken lightly.  Hope it feels better soon

Hello My Friends,

It sounds like everyone who has had a moment to write today is under the weather in some shape or fashion. I have had a headache for a couple days that begins about 5pm every night and lasts until the morning. I think it is the mold count. I heard the counts are very high. It doesnt help that my windows have been open due to the delicious cool weather in the evening.  I read putting an English Ivy plant near the window helps along with large amounts of Vitamin D. I'm game and will try it. I am wondering if we should postpone our get together until September. What does everyone think? I will be there if we are meeting this Sunday as planned.

I have been thinking of starting my own business. My husband mentioned it to me and it's funny because i have also been thinking about it since it is so hard to find a job. My hubby asked me why I dont clean houses since I am such a clean freak and love to clean. It's funny because I was thinking the same thing. I clean my church twice a week and I have cleaned other people's houses when they were ill or needed help. My good friend/hair dresser has asked me if I would clean his daughter's townhouse since she travels and doesnt have the time. I just would not know what to charge. When I worked, my cleaning lady got $100.00 but I heard that was high. Does anyone have a cleaning lady and if so what do you pay her/him? I need to get some ideas on what to charge.

I saw the grandbabies- last night and had such fun. I am watching them again tomorrow night.

Happy Hump Day Everyone!

Gosh, am I the only one that feels ok?  I am so sorry everyone is feeling bad.  Hope everyone feels better soon. Sharon, thanks for the reminder!  I totally forgot that the get together was this weekend!  Time has flown.  I swear all I do is turn around and a weekend is gone!  The days are flyinf by.  We are still vert busy at work and it seems like the evenings go by just as fast!  I must be getting old.  

Connie. I am so glad you are home and that surgery is behind you.  Let the healing begin!

Randy, I am sorry about the foot.  Those can be painful.

Crystal, we need to get you new sinuses.  

Sharon, I know I was paying my ast house cleaner $60 a session to clean.  She was here for 2 hours at a time.  I hated paying that but at least things got cleaned.  Anyone cheaper would just surface clean.
