Wednesday Roll Call
Happy Hump Day,
I overslept this morning too. I got up about 7:30. I was awake earlier, but didn't want to get out of bed.
No plans for today, other then we may meet friends for an early supper.
I think I may try to clean the car out. It goes in for an oil change tomorrow. I will also stop for some goodies tomorrow too. We are taking off on Saturday for St. Louis, then Monday, we are heading over to Iowa for a couple of days. We will have Morgan with us.
Just being curious, what do the rest of you have for snacks. I get tired of cheese sticks all the time.
Sharon, you may have to use a headhunter to locate a job. When I got mine, it was because a board member of Tri-County was a good friend of mine at the time. Otherwise, I wouldn't of known about it. Like my hubby says, it isn't what you know, but who.
Crystal, STOP eating the goodies!!!!!
Connie, all of our prayers are with you today.
Kim, One day at a time, you will be feeling better.
Nancy, They stopped us from using the computers at work from all social sites. I take my ipad with me to work.
Dawn, relax for a while. Unemployment last 3 to 6 months. Take advantage. Refer to what I said to Sharon,
Randy, Take your umbrella today. They are saying rain, maybe.
Huggers to all.
Same here with me. I slept until 8:30 a.m. this morning.
Just had a cup of 1% milk. Going to have a bowl of cereal for breakfast soon.
Going to play it by ear for today.
Have a great day.

Hello everyone
I had a bad night last night. My leg cramps started up again with a vengeance in the middle of the night. I was up every hour or so trying to walk off another charlie horse. They were so bad...sometimes they are in my foot and sometimes they are in my calf...sometimes both at the same time. But the only way to make one go away once it starts is to get up and walk. So here I am half asleep walking around my apartment...trying to get them to go away. Right now I can tell you my leg muscle feel sore.
Today unfortunately I have a million things to do. I am busy, busy...so no rest for the weary. I put chicken legs in the crockpot for dinner this morning (I'm making beer chicken) After work I have to do groceries and run by Walgreens to pick up my prescriptions. Then I have to drive down to Fox Valley...I have to pick up my makeup at Macys. Only Macys sells my makeup and I ran out of foundation. So while I'm out there I will hit the secondhand store..I am looking for a stand mixer (I can't spend $200-300). I will also meet Chris for dinner (I'm packing up my chicken). Then on my way home I am stopping at Whole Foods. Then I will be home and Chris is coming over after work. So busy, busy...
Lisa- as far as snacks go...they are healthy but not always full of protein. I eat almonds (only 100 calories worth though)...I love apples and bananas, melons, berries...That's why I'm going to Whole Foods. I think if I'm stuffed with fruit...I can't eat candy!!! I hate yogurt but that's an option. I love those chips I posted on Facebook yesterday and they only have 3 grams of sugar...and they are all natural. I am trying to find things myself to snack on instead of chocolate. Of course a little more calories but always yummy...those little to-go containers of peanut butter...get the Jiff natural and dip your apple in it. Such a wonderful snack...it is more calories though. But better for you than cookies or candy.
What are you guys up to today???
Well I better get going...see ya later gators.
Hello Gang!
It was good to be back at the gym today. Now I am off to babysit the grand-babies. I see them on Wednesday evenings now.
I cooked a whole chicken and made a delish celery salad. Popping a whole chicken in the oven at 450 for an hour is the easiest thing in the world to make. Love easy. I made a chicken yesterday too, but this one is for the grand babies today.
Yes, Lisa I think a head-hunter may be the way to go. I have been thinking along those lines.
Randy, sometimes it just feels good to sleep in
Crystal, drink more water. It sounds like you probably sweat out alot when you work out. You need to drink a gallon per day. I know it aint easy. Also, what kind of salt are you using? You may need to get the rock salt. I heard table salt is not any good because the nutrients are all gone from the processing. I get this bottle of pink rock salt at Trader Joes.
I am off to watch the babies.
Hugs,
Sharon
Sharon- I don't really use salt at all. Except if a recipe calls for it then I use sea salt. Is that any different than table salt or rock salt. But I almost never add salt to a dish after its cooked...it has to really need it.
I think I drink way more than the 64oz they ask for a day....but I didn't account for what I lose in sweat. Hmmm...that is an interesting little kink in my water intake.
Chris wanted me to mention this to my doctor last time I went because it is an ongoing problem...butI forgot. I need to make a note for myself. What I do is make a note for myself on my phone and set the alarm to go off at my @ my appointment. I usually have 2-3 things I need to remind myself of...like renewing RXs. That kind of thing.
I also tried increasing my potasium. I eat 3-4 bananas a week now. But according to my last labs my levels were fine. I checked those right off.
