Sharon-  I think it is smart of you to remove that date.  When I was working at my job as a manager my boss and I would look through resumes for empty positions and I was shocked at her comments.  She would say things like "this person is too old they graduated in 1973" ..."I can't even pronounce this person's name"..."this person lives in a very bad neighborhood...what kind of person are we going to get"...ya nice thinking.  I told you that company was the pit of Hell.  I hated it there.

But YES they do look at dates!!!!  And I wouldn't go back in my work history too far unless you have to because you worked at the same place for 25 years.  But like me I'm not too old but I can still pass for under 40.  I took my dates off and used only recent work history.  I went back to 1994 only.  That way I seemed like I was still in my 30's.

I also was very careful about talking about my personal life.  I know they can't come right out and ask about kids.  Well I don't want to age myself and say my daughter is 25 (they don't know how old I was when I had her) and you would do yourself a favor not to mention grandchildren.  Even if they have grandchildren....they might think it's ok for them but not for their workers.  So I when I am asked questions like what do I like to do in my spare time or to relieve stress (all questions to secretly find out more about your personal life...like are you married, have kids,,,because legally they can't ask).  I always say things like I workout, go bike riding, garden, read or go out to eat with friends....stuff like that.  Do not reveal too much.  YOU DO NOT KNOW WHAT THEIR PREJUSTICES ARE.  My boss told me she purposely spent a lot of time with the candidate to put them at ease so that they will start letting thier guard down...start acting like themselves...and start revealing more.  Remember that when the interviewer seems to start acting like your best friend.  She's not.

Yup, the sun is out today with its sunshine.

Good luck with your appointment with the sleep doctor at Northwestern, I also have a sleep doctor at Northwestern. Have fun at Walmart.

I'm doing good, I have a doctor's appointment myself with the family doctor, just need to update my file with my family doctor with paper work from Northwestern. I might stop at Target on the way home from my appointment just to pick up a few items. I might do some house cleaning too if time allows for it today.

Have a great day today.

Good morning everyone,  its been such a long time since I have posted.  good to see so many familiar faces still using this.

Not too much is going on with me, except being tight in the mornings, which is kinda new for me. For the past week, its gurgles as liquids go down.  and I am filled loosely for the past year or so.  But my weight has been going up for the past 2 years.

Just trying to get back into the weight loss program and working out.
