Good Morning,

I am working all week. At least that is what we think. This program is only planned to run 2 weeks, or until the money runs out.

We have no plans for this week at all. It seems everyone made plans for vacation. That's ok. We need down weeks now and then,

Have a great day,

Hugs,

Lisa

Hello everyone

Today will be a busy day.  It's Monday.  I will be leaving shortly.  I have so much to do I will be at work later than usual today...more OT.  Then after work I just have to workout.

The wedding was interesting.  I never went to an Indian wedding before.  There are some aspects that are like ours but some that are completely different.  It was very long...but I was warned.  But to be honest I was prepared for that.  But we didn't get served dinner till after 9pm!!!  Then Chris was very sure that there would at least one American dish.  There wasn't.  So I didn't have anything.  If I was in different setting I might have tried the Indian food.  But first I am a very picky eater and the chances I would like it are slim to none.  Second I have strong reactions to food I don't like.  If I am eating something I don't like and try to swallow it I will start to gag.  So I end up having to spit it out.  I can't do that at a reception.  So I ate nothing.  On our way home we stopped at Portillos and I got a grilled chicken sandwich.  I was pretty hungry by then (I hadn't eaten since 8am) and that was one delicious sandwich!!!  By the time I got home and crawled into be it was almost 2.  And of course my inner alarm clock doesn't let me sleep past 6am.  So I was up bright and early.

Well I batter get going so I will see you all later...have a good day...bye

I really need to get on an Indian food party list.  I love it and the hotter the better.

I have a recipe for Indian Butter Chicken and it is AWESOME!  Not very spicy and contrary to the name, not covered in butter.  Just had some yesterday for lunch.

Good Monday Morning Everyone!

It was a nice relaxing weekend for me.  I really needed it.  The stress is getting to me.  Ridiculous issues now at work.  I truly believe they are trying to set me up to fire me.  Not what I need expecially at my age as finding another job will be almost impossible.  I hope it is just my imagination working overtime.

Today I have an appointment with my neurologist.  Time to get a new prescription for my migrain meds.  I am out.  Need relief!

This morning I did not know whether to laugh or cry.  Last night I was threatening to bathe Buffy as she smells.  This morning she took care of the problem.  She decided to come into the shower with me.  And she could not get out!  She was drenched!    Poor kitty.  She is probably traumatized.  Then she did not want me to dry her off.

Lisa, I am glad you have some down time this week.  IT is good to slow down every once in a while.

Crystal, I would be the same way with Indian food.  It is way too spicy.  I have never tasted any that I like. Yuk!

Randy, good luck at the doctor today.

Dawn, hope you had a good weekend.

Kim, it is hard to see kids grow up.  Buying bras must be a real treat but also a shock.

Sharon, hope all is well for you.  Good luck on your new meds.  Wish I could find one that really worked.

Everyone have a great day!

I love Indian food and have likely had some as hot as Vendaloo at Mom and pops where they did not bother to call it that.

Good morning Randy and the rest of Illinois!

I am glad to be at work to get some rest.  I had a very busy weekend. Riley came out Thursday night and she and I made sunscreen lotion bars then spent Friday getting ready to teach Karl and Pedro about tie dye.  We dyed all evening then had a bon fire.

Saturday I was up and at 'em from 8:30 am to about 2 am Sunday.  We spent hours (or so it seemed) rinsing and hanging our creations.  I then got the food going, made snowballs with the neighbor kids and even took some downtown to throw at unsuspecting neighbors during the festival.  The evening ended with friends on the porch watching fireworks and more fire.

Yesterday, the boys and Liv painted the viaduct for her Senior pictures.  I was exhausted and in bed by 8.

Karl and Pedro move on to another family tonight and we get a Brazilian girl, Tammy for the nest two weeks.  This is really fun!

Gotta get back at it.

Have a lovely day!

Just got home from my volunteer gig and it is nice to just be home. It is cooler out there, but muggy. I'm ready for some Las Vegas heat....hot but dry.Yeah right! Dreaming......I have my therapy appointment this afternoon and then just getting dinner ready.

Nancy,a group of us were talking at dinner last night about how difficult it is to find a job after a certain age. I dont know if it is my age, or what....but it is difficult to find something. I removed the year i graduated from school on my resume and wondrously got 2 calls for interviews......hmmmmmm. I hope you can get some peace at work. Pressure at work is no fun and very stressful.

Crystal and Randy, I am with Crystal. Indian food is not my thing either.  I cant stomach the smell. I am a gagger too and would embarrass myself at a wedding if I took a bite.

Lisa and Dawn, it sounds like you are enjoying being back at work.

Kim and everyone...enjoy this beautiful day the Lord has given us.

PS: Did Connie go to England and Ireland or just Ireland? It seems she may be there for the royal birth. Does anyone really care about this or am I just a Debbie Downer? Even Moody Radio is all excited about the royal birth. Why am I not getting this?

Hugs

Sharon
